We move with purpose, but take every precaution to protect your goods (like wrapping all furniture) during your move and before it. We train all our employees. We know how to pack a truck without it shifting, how to drive a truck safely, and how to pace a job, etc.

— Fully insured: Workers comp, general liability, commercial auto, and cargo.

— Customer service. We have an awesome scheduler, John, to take care of you. On the job, expect gentlemen!

History

Established in 2009.

We started doing window cleaning and moving during high school just to get a few extra bucks. Now, we’re all college students. We have all thoroughly enjoyed the business of moving and cleaning, and know we will continue to do both. Sure, it keeps us financially afloat. What really inspires us to keep doing moving is the positive feedback we get from our customers. Nothing feels better than knowing you helped someone when they really needed it. We pride ourselves on our professionalism, honesty, work ethic, and relationship we establish with our customers.

Now we are fully insured labor only movers and window cleaners. We are excited to keep moving forward and saving towards our goal of getting a truck and doing it big!

Whats up Yelp. My name is Matteo Porcedda. I am attending UC Berkeley. During high school wrestling was my favorite sport. I also played football and track and field. I still continue to follow my passion for wrestling by coaching at a local high school. The customer response is what has kept me interested in working moving. Hearing how much we can help people by doing what we do makes me happy at the end of the day. Besides that, it keeps me afloat in light of rising tuition costs!

No longer in business, it seems. Called 5 times over the last week, sent texts. No response. Completely unprofessional. Sounds like they had a good thing going and completely screwed it. The «students» should have seeked help from a professor who would have told them that ignoring customers is bad for business.

I called John and Chris the other day to do a «simple» move for me. Namely, they needed to move my new fridge from the garage into my kitchen and take my old fridge from my kitchen and put it into my garage. They came over bright and early in the morning and the move was absolutely trouble free. They were pros — no scuffed walls, floors and no banged up fridges. On top of that they were courteous and really well mannered. I would definitely hire them again.

I work for a local Bay Area catering company called Hugh Groman Catering and we used John and his team for a couple of our events back in December. They were amazing! We told them that the shift would be shorter than it was but they were happy to stay and do literally anything we needed from moving tables to trees! The team was extremely professional, showing up on time and in logoed shirts and black slacks. We were proud to call them apart of our team in front of the client. My current place is a one bedroom apartment and I dont have much furnitures. I asked for a few quotes. Many moving services dont want to waste time on 2men2hour job and simply ignores my emails. John takes care of customers like me. He confirmed an appointment at very early time and is flexible about our plan change. Super polite and reliable guy!

Hired these guys to move in some large furniture into a small apartment. They were prompt, courteous and organized. Only took 2 hours to move from a house in Redwood City to apartment in San Mateo. They performed a pretty slick maneuver getting a 7′ couch up some steep stairs and through the front door. Bonus: they came on a Sunday.

They are wonderful. They are everything their reviews on Unilocal say they are. Except for the 4 star review. I never had problem with any e-​mails or phone messages getting lost. If anything their communication is their strength. John and Matteo alway return calls promptly. They are professional but most of all their manners and the way they handle your belongings is above and beyond. My daughter and I moved to Willows, Ca. They did a long haul. Over all, moving is not fun. Yet, in the beginning, middle and completion of the move. John and Matteo left a smile at the end of our day.

They were prompt in terms of arriving on the agreed upon time and extremely professional throughout the experience. The price is great for the service they provide and they left me confident in recommending them to every other person who needs to move around in the Bay Area. They were quick and also more than accommodating with moving around the furniture once inside the apartment.

Yay for finding these guys on Unilocal!
So, I was preparing for a big move — from the right coast to the left and was understandably nervous about it. I did a lot of research about what the best way to move was — would it be to hire movers who would drive cross-​country, ship everything via FedEx/​UPS, or transport everything via freight or plane? I found that the most cost effective and controlled way to do it would be to bring everything with me as «luggage» on my flight.
However, because I had 10+ boxes, I knew I would need movers to help me transport everything from SFO to my apartment. I also knew this would probably come across as an unusual request to the local movers, so I wanted to find a small company that might take something like this on.
I emailed SWM to see if this was possible. John replied and said he could, and because this was a «special request,» he would also pick up the boxes in his pickup truck at no extra charge. This saved me an extra hundred bucks and some headache for sure. He continued to follow up with the right questions and we coordinated to make sure everything was set for the day of.
As luck would have it (or the lack thereof), on the day of the move, my flight was delayed by almost 4 hours. I was supposed to get in around 2pm, but didn’t arrive until 6pm which meant I might not have been able to gather my boxes from luggage claim and head over to the apartment’s leasing office to pick up my key in time. (The leasing office closed at 7.)
I texted John and he assured me that this was fine and that he didn’t have another move planned for that day, so it was doable. I’m positive this wouldn’t have happened if I had hired a bigger moving company. (Added points for flexibility!)
So, I finally arrived and John met me at the airport to pick up all my stuff and safely transported everything to my apartment. True to what other reviewers have stated, he is very professional, respectful, and hard-​working.
I’m definitely hiring them for my next local move!

I needed help closing one storage unit and moving/​consolidating items to another unit. The manager of Security Public Storage gave me names of movers and after talking to several people on the list. I chose «Students with Muscle». They did a great job and finished before the estimated time. They even took items to the dumps and delivered items to my office. They were very professional, provided an estimate and a signed contract.

These guys were great! From the customer service on the phone, scheduling and in person… I was VERY happy I hired them!
Found them on Unilocal,read the reviews and trusted my gut. Even bought the Unilocal deal ($ 10 for $ 20 off moving services) which helped reduce a littel of the cost. Marcus & Brian showed up on time, made quick work of my move while still preserving the condition of my furniture. It was no easy feat for them to haul my stuff down 1 flight of stairs (old apt) and up 2 flights (new apt) with the narrowest of passageways, but they did it in less time than I had reserved them for.
I appreciate the work they did and highly recommend them. They are very reasonably priced, come well prepared and are professional and courteous.

Wow-​oh-​wow!
I’ve got to echo the positive reviews of other Unilocalers about Brian’s crew. I snagged several awesome antiques today from the Alameda Antique Show but didn’t realize that the furniture would be so heavy :(
Of course, turning to Google I found this moving company and gave them a call. They sent a moving team within one hour!!! And, the crew that showed up was:
— totally professional and capable
— careful moving heavy furniture around tight corners
— quick, they got the moving job done in half the time
