Business Owner

Daniel Singer has been dancing and teaching in the San Francisco Bay Area for over 14 years. A former Pro-​Am Competitor, Daniel trained extensively in American-​Style Ballroom dance from many notable professionals and coaches in the field. He is a DVIDA certified IDTA member insured instructor and currently teaches independently in studios and dance centers in many cities throughout the bay area including San Jose, Redwood City, San Mateo, Belmont, Burlingame, and San Francisco. Instruction in Daniel’s classes includes American Waltz, Foxtrot, Tango, Viennese Waltz, East Coast Swing, West Coast Swing, Bolero, American Rhumba, Cha-​Cha, Mambo, Samba, Argentine Tango and many others. A truly gifted instructor, Daniel’s philosophy and teaching style has attracted a growing number of students who appreciate learning social ballroom dancing in a relaxed and comfortable environment.

We just had our wedding a few days ago and used Daniel to help us with our first dance. Thank god we did because we nailed it :) Daniel was great coming up with something we could catch onto and practice. He was so much fun to work with and encouraged us the entire month. We would totally recommend him if you’re needing some fun dance lessons!

Daniel helped my fiancé and I with our wedding dance lessons on short notice (4 weeks before the big day.) Daniel was awesome working with us! He helped us put together a great dance routine based on the music and video we had. All of the lessons we took were well structured and we learned the dance with fun and humor. If you are looking for a dance instructor (particularly for your wedding) and in the in the Bay Area, definitely try to work with Daniel.

Daniel is wonderful!!! He really helped us with our first dance for the wedding, and we couldn’t have asked for more. My fiancé was lagging when booking Daniel, but Daniel really made the effort to adjust his schedule and fit in our four lessons in time for our wedding (he even offered to help us with a fifth lesson — were we that bad?!? Haha…). Daniel has a great sense of humor (we really cracked up at some of his comments and feedback to us, but it helped us improve too when he gave us hilarious analogies of what we were doing wrong). If you want a more special first dance for your wedding, you won’t go wrong with Daniel!!!
Would love to continue taking more dancing lessons with him — we shall see!

Outstanding! Daniel is a very very helpful and patient dance instructor. My fiancé and I took the 4 X1 hour classes wedding package which is reasonably priced. He reviewed the song we’re interested in, looked at the video and tailored our first dance to match the song/​video and our abilities, by which I mean my lack of any dancing skills. More to come after the wedding.

My husband and I started taking lessons with Daniel’s class on Thursday evening at the Peninsula Ballet Theater. The people in the class are fun and easy to be with. Daniel is a great instructor and just seeing him dance with such ease is an inspiration. The class is personal so we get individualized attention as well. The decision for us to start was me cashing in my «owe me» points. (you get it… my husband owed me a favor or two) Now my husband is enjoying it so much he goes to the class even when I am out of town!
We are so glad we tried this. You can’t go wrong signing up for a few classes! You might get hooked.

This is a long overdue review for Daniel’s ballroom classes on Thursday evening. I have been taking his classes every Thursday for almost a year now and I always learned something new every week. Daniel is an extremely patient and talented teacher. He took the time correct each of us and always very encouraging The class itself is very fun, relaxing and comfortable. All the regular students are wonderfully supported of each other. I would recommend his classes to beginners or seasoned dancers.

Daniel is a fantastic dance teacher. My wife and I met him through Peninsula Ballet Company, where he teaches. We have taken lessons on and off over the past two years and enjoy dancing so much more! He has ways to explain concepts that make them easy for non-​dancers like me to grasp. I know he does a lot of work with couples preparing for their wedding, but I would also highly recommend him to couples who just want to have more fun dancing to music they enjoy. It’s a wonderful connection between two people who love each other, and as the old song says, «the best things happen when you dance!» Daniel Singer can make this happen for you.

My daughter and her fiancé took dance lessons from Daniel for their first dance. He was amazing! He put both of them at ease immediately and had both of them looking like professionals in no time at all. He is extremely knowledgable of dance and how to teach even those with no experience at all. He made the lessons fun, stress free and put together a dance routine to their song that had the wedding guests shocked and amazed at how good they were. I strongly recommend Daniel for any and all dance instructions no matter what your needs are. From beginners to experienced serious dancers, he is your guy!
