Its an amazing spot where you can enjoy viewing #of flights taking off n landing. Nice place to relax and ideal for picnic. U can even play in water since its warm. Loved it there

If you are looking for a park on the Peninsula to enjoy a day out under the sun or host a large party such as a family reunion, this is the place to be!
There is plenty to do for people of all ages with large picnic areas, children’s playground, hiking trails, wildlife center and museum, lookouts with points of interest, and paved pathway by the ocean with an expansive view of the Bay and for watching planes coming in and out of SFO.

I do believe there’s no better place in the bay area to spend a sun soaked Sunday than on and along the trails of Coyote Point. The view is incredible, trails are well cared for and the trees… the trees are phenomenal. I’m biased, I suppose, as Eucalyptus is my absolute favorite.
On a particular recent Sunday (my birthday in fact), I spent the day enjoying walking (and a bit of wine) on trails carved through a Eucalyptus Grove at Coyote Point. Each intoxicating inhale was only magnified with pleasure by the view.
I’d like to raise a glass to aromatic treks on trails with scenery worth sipping to.

A great place for BBQ! Some parts of Coyote is free but you would need to come super early. Even if you rent out a space, its not expensive. I believe prices starts at $ 50. And you can come anytime of the day when you reserve a space. A lot of field space to play sports or just to sit on the grass. A good amount of playgrounds for kids to play in and lots of parking spaces. This area is by the water which is nice. Coyote Point is clean and restrooms close to every BBQ area. Entrance fee of $ 6 to get it per car.

This might be a biased review but I completely love coyote point. As a child, I grew up in the neighborhood nearby and I moved away. Every time I come visit, it never fails to amaze me. Its beautiful. Its a great place to go with your family, especially if you have children or even by yourself. The trail goes right next to the ocean and its a great place to go running, take your dog for a walk, go bicycling, or just take a walk. Its peaceful and there is a lot for the family.
There is a museum which is pretty cool especially for the little ones, there is a lot of areas to stop and have a BBQ with the family. Lots of benches available. There is also many parks for the little ones on the trail and they are very well maintained. The trail is really long and there is a lot to see. They have a dock for all the boats, people go canoeing, fishing areas, as well as a view of the San Mateo bridge and it is a great place to stop and see the airplanes land. Overall, it is an amazing place for everyone. There is also an area where you can go into the water and swim or widsurf!

This is one of my new go-​to spots to get my recreation in. You know in between all the other stuff a person has to have some fun. My tip to you is to bring a disposable blanket, especially if you toss it on top of moist ground or mud. Be safe, have fun and watch out for those slippery rocks!

Came back after a few years away and still as good as ever. Make reservations and hire an instructor if you plan on bringing new people.

Amazing view, surprising clean considering how many people were out for the day. Many nice people enjoying the area. $ 6 per car to drive in, but you can walk in several different entries without a charge.

It’s a great place for friends, family, or couples. You’ll just have to ignore a few of the unsavory groups blasting their music from their trucks one of the picnic areas.

Yesssss, outdoor spaces and sunshine!!! … okay, in winter maybe not so much sunshine. But yessssss, outdoor spaces!
Coyote Point is surprisingly beautiful. It boasts a small beach and a one mile stretch of hiking that takes you past a cove, a marina stocked with boats, picnic tables, and a grassy playground. It’s not the best place to go for a long run, since the path sort of tapers out after a mile, but it’s the perfect place to go on a weekend if you want some fresh air and beautiful views. We had fun on the playground and chased monarch butterflies. The airport is across the bay, and kids love watching planes come in just above your head (who are we kidding… grownups love it, too). Oddly enough the grounds also house a nearby rifle range, so you can hear guns being fired at random times. Parking is $ 6, but it felt nice to support a local green space. YAY NATURE!!!

Nice place to have BBQ picnic. Magic mountain play area is perfect for the kids and the view of planes flying by offers a relaxing scenery with the bay as the back drop.

Awesome spot for barbecuing — plenty of open grills and shade among the trees. Go to the jetty to see planes up close as they land as SFO.
Definitely check out the CuriOdyssey center where they have wildlife and plenty of activities for kids

A beach and a park! Right next to each other! The beach was really clean, but kind of small, but it’s good enough! The water was warm so it wasn’t too cold to put your feet in. It wasn’t smelly either.
The park was really fun! However, the kids there might be a little bit rude to each other and other people. Kids are kids!

This review is just for fishing. It’s not the best place for fishing, especially with young kids. Very rocky and windy in marina area. Not sure why it was highly recommended for bay area fishing.
Playground is nice.

Today was our first time and hope to return next time we are in the area. Our friends suggested we go as they also enjoy taking their son. Our 3 y/​o had a great time playing at the play yard. Until a summer camp arrived, there were only a few families there. I appreciated the cleanliness of the play yard! We also enjoyed walking along the water. There was so much open space for young kids to run around without hurting themselves. I highly recommend for families.

Who said that this was a good beach? It’s about 6 feet to the water. It’s full of rocks. It’s a great picnic place, but the beach stinks. I’ll stick to ocean beach.

If you’re here with kids, its a nice no brainer no fuss place to chill out… Nice views, walks, playgrounds for toddlers, the mini zoo, bay trail forcycling, and literally a 5 minute drive from burlingame. Plenty of parking, barbecue grills and benches, restrooms, and both sunny spots and shade among the eucalypti. Come with friends for repeat visit value. Relax, chat, picnic, have a couple of cold ones. Chilly when overcast and windy.

Awesome park!!! Fenced in and super fun for all ages. Beautiful view of the city and ocean and lots and lots of space to run around and play. I highly recommend!

This is a biased review. Every Easter Sunday my family comes here rain or shine. This tradition makes me appreciate the area.
Feels:
Out of the 4 times I’ve been here, I’ve encountered 3 warm sunny days and a cold/​sunny day… all on Easter Sundays. Any who what’s great about this place is the family environment. It’s great to see other families together celebrating their festivities while being with your own. During down times it’s great to see airplanes come and go or the beauty of the San Bruno Bridge and the Bay. Though I have yet to see CuriOdyssey, I am determined to check it out with my family.

Once again, I’ve only been here on Easter Sundays and it gets pretty packed, especially in the afternoon. $ 6 parking
Overall
5 stars. Once again I have fond memories of this place. Positive feels of eating homemade barbecue and feeling full, reuniting with generations old and new. The simple amenities are there such as barbecue pits and a scenic view. Thought this aint the MUST place to be for tourists, it a great place to have for the Bay Area community.

My family comes here very often because it’s like going to the beach without going all the way. Super cute hike as well, as well as really nice picnic areas. This time we came when it was raining for a completely different experience, and it was amazing. $ 6 to enter the place, and CuriOdyssey is right on the other side!

A fine place to adventure if you are on this part of the peninsula. California has so much to offer it is worth noting this could be a 3 star in many areas of this beautiful state. Good views on a clear day and fun for children of all ages. The path along the bay goes for miles and is clean. Relax and enjoy or have a serene setting for your workout, either way it’s great!

It’s small but fun and entertaining for a couple of hours. Love the hands on science exhibits. Definitely panders to a younger crowd but was okay for our 10 year old :)

What a nice place to come when you just need to get away or a nice romantic place by the water.
The park looks over the bay near the San Francisco International Airport, where you can see the planes flying in and out of the airport. A great place for Plane watching. The 101 freeway is close by as well and easy access to the park.
Years ago this park was used at different times as an amusement park, a Merchant Marine cadet school, and a college campus. The park is also designed so you can have a place to host a little picnic or a birthday party!
Access to get there is pretty easy: Going Northbound, take the Dore Avenue exit, take an immediate left on N. Bayshore Blvd. and head north towards the park entrance on Coyote Point Drive. If your going Southbound from the north, take the Poplar Avenue exit. Turn right onto Humbolt, then turn right onto Peninsula Avenue. Go over the freeway, and then circle around and into the park at Coyote Point Drive. Pretty easy right?
This park has TONS to offer:
–Several Playgrounds, The largest is near the windsurfing beach on the west side of the park
— A smaller playground is on the east side of the park between the eucalyptus grove picnic area.
–The beach is a nice place for surfing and looking at the bay.
–The caption house :)
–Coyote Point Rifle Range, depending on what day you can here the guns going off which are pretty loud! :)
–Bicycle and pedestrian-​only trails criscross the hill, many under the shade of the eucalyptus trees and some along the edges of the cliffs.
–The main Environmental Hall covers 8,000 square feet, with informative and interactive exhibits on nature and the environment. There is a large mural and display at the entrance to the main hall on the top floor.
–At the northeast corner of the point, is the viewing platform on the edge of a cliff which provides panoramic views of San Francisco Bay.
Overall, this park is beautiful and truly carries a nice name for itself!

Coyote Point San Mateo County Park is nice place with activities of picnic, walk, bicyle, children playground, and nature museum. Entry $ 6 per car. Museum entry additional fee. Why I like this place for picnics is the mild temperature, harbor bay views, and absence of bees/​wasps that usually bother you while eating or bbqing. Plenty of concrete tables and bbq grills with flush toilet restrooms and water faucets. Clean up crew cleans each picnic site of garbage and ashes in bbq daily.
