If there was a zero stars that would be more fitting! Seriously don’t understand how this place stays in business? They have the worst customer service I have ever encountered! The guy who answers the phone Mike is possibly the most arrogant person I’ve had he pleasure of dealing with. He serves up the bad service and when you call him on it he is not apologetic about it! When I called to talk to the manager and get an update on my car that’s already been there for 1.5 weeks with no updates, he puts me on hold for 10 mins and then comes back and tells me he’s in the bathroom! Very unprofessional!!! Our truck is currently being worked on for the 2^nd time in 1500 miles since they re did the gears 6 months ago. The manager Victor says that’s what you should expect with after market parts! They break! «Expect it»?? Wait so we paid them over $ 1000 for them to put on crappy parts that will continue to break? So that we can come back again and put more crappy parts on it and get treated with Mikes horrible customer service again! I’m going to give more of an update on this when the truck is done but for now BEWARE of very bad parts and customer service!!!

So, I was unknowingly forced into a business relationship with 4Wheel Parts as a result of purchasing my 2015 4Runner from Toyota Carlsbad. As part of the purchase, the safety recommendations required that I get to them at the 5k mile mark, to readjust the liftkit, tires, wheels and tighten any abnormalities that may have arisen since installation.
PROS:
1. Very knowledgeable staff. They know what you need, before you do.
2. Thoroughly stocked inventory*. Note one: everything I needed for my truck and then some, except when it came to an emergency fix on a tire. Then they had a 2 day-​delivery time from the main office in Compton. Not a fan. But then again, not my business.
3. Could pull parts from my custom build via VIN, and didn’t have to see the vehicle in person to get the parts right. This came in handy when I lost a center cap due to a couple of loose allen bolts (why they came loose is beyond me), and they were able to order the part — again, from Central office in Compton — and have it delivered ASAP.
4. Very quick work.
5. Staff was very cool. like taking the truck in to your buddies house to get worked on.
6. No up-​selling/​cross-​selling. Thank GOD.
CONS:
1. Not to good on the phone. If they are busy, just get ready to have dropped phone calls, redials, you name it. And noone seems to be taking notes of what customer needs what. Just seemed very disorganized.
2. Computers down. Sorry — The ONLY Computer was down. this resulted in 2.5 days of phone calls as they hand wrote work orders, made secondary phone calls on parts, etc… just a mess. Have a back up system in place. The notepads didn’t work.
3. No waiting area — at least when I was there last year. If you need 4 hours to do some work I cannot avoid, then please, have a waiting area where I can wait the time out. I felt like I was awkwardly standing where I should not have been… for 4 hours.
Like I said. Good guys. Fast work. Just could be a bit more comfortable for hanging out… and lets get those phone skills down, to avoid disasters.

This place has just about anything you could want in stock for your jeep, and if they don’t 99% of the time they can get it the next day. Friendly staff. Prices were very competitive, will be coming back here many more times!

I’ve had a few things done by this shop. Let me start off by first saying these guys know what they are doing. Their prices are competitive (not cheap) but well within market standards. By far, the best alignment I have ever had… ever. My lifted truck drives straight as an arrow. They did make one small mistake, but they corrected it as soon as they could and without complaint. I trust these guys. You should too. They have a customer for life here. Thanks guys!

I have had all of my Jeep upgrades done by 4 wheel Parts. I have had a suspension lift, power steps, and full brake upgrade done by them. They have done a great clean job on every upgrade. Price is always fair and repairs are done when promised. I highly recommend these guys.

I’ve been coming here for years. They are always honest and work with me on the price. They’ve lifted 2 of my trucks and one of my Jeeps. This last time I called in they not only was their customer service great as always they were also about ²⁄₃ the price as any other shop around for the same repair on my Jeep and they got it done in one day! Highly recommended!

Ryan at 4 wheel parts order some shocks that were out of stock. Took a while for them to have them but would always give me a call to let me know any news. I would recommend them and prices are great. Thank you

Done business with these guys over the last 20+ years ! Great at point of sale after that not so much ! Wouldnt explain to me why a product that has a lifetime warranty Rancho Shocks ! Why you would need a receipt? Do they pro rate the shocks? There’s is a lifetime warranty on the shock? I knew I’d have to pay the labor on installing them 3 out of 4 of them are shot ! But was told basically without a receipt that would be $ 356 for four new shocks and installation have a nice day ! So my advice is shop someplace else ! And use credit card seems not all cash payments make it into the computer !

Had a great overall experience from the first phone call to the time I picked up the keys.

Purchased a 2 inch leveling kit along with new wheels and tires for a 2015 Supercrew. The price was very fair in comparison to shopping around for just the wheels and tires. They knocked the work out the same day. Although I couldn’t pick it up the same day Ryan was awesome and sent me before and after pics just to keep me posted.
The rest of the counter sales staff were very friendly as well. Definitely recommend this location for anyone looking to modify their trucks.

I ordered from the online store and the part arrived damaged. I notified customer service and a replacement was shipped the same day. I am a repeat customer because of the outstanding customer service from 4 Wheel Parts.

The sales and service are superb. Always treated like family. In 15 years, I’ve never been over sold. Wouldn’t have my Jeep serviced any where else.

Worst damn service ever, unbelievable. Just because you are the owner of your store doesn’t mean you have the right to treat people like shit, seriously who does that? I came in to make business and your damn service is crap. I don’t recommend this place at all, if there was a 0 star I would give them that. Really less than 3 minutes? That’s bull crap. No manners, do I really have to walk up to your computer to ask for your service? And be told that you are the owner, fine you are the owner. I’m your customer not an item. I recommend discount tire instead. Go there not here.

Always a pleasure to come up and see Juan. I just bought my Smitty Bilt winch bumper and my Smitty Bilt XRC9500 lb winch… they are going to look awesome on my 2014 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. Can’t wait ro try it out. Thanks for the excellent customer service guys.

If there was a 0 star it would be better. I was looking for a mini air compressor to fit under my hood for the occasional tire fill up. I was recommended to buy the ARB mini compressor, come to find out once I get home and had a chance to read the box and open it I found out it is not recommended to pump up tires. So one week later I came back to return it and told them I was sold the wrong item. I was encouraged to buy something else with store credit, instead I chose to get my money back. I then was charged a 25% restocking fee? I have had other not so great experiences here before as well this just pushed it, save you time and $ go to Off Road Warehouse on the other side of Nordahl you cannot go wrong. I will never set my rubbers in this store again

After two weeks of searching for the perfect suspension lift I finally found it!
With the help of Eric and friends I was able to finish my newest truck build.
At least for now.
4WP has a great selection of off road parts, accessories, etc.
I highly recommend this place for all your off road needs!

Troy from 4 wheel parts San Marcos helped me put together my lift for my ford, I checked a few other places and they were more expensive and didnt call me back when they said they were. Troy was on top of things and called me back always. Troy priced matched a 10 inch lift I found online. Once I was ready to start they got me in right away and finished quik so I could have my truck for the weekend. I have used 4 wheel parts San Marcos location for over 12 years and will be back for future upgrades. My lift looks great and truck drives nice. Good job guys !

I just got my 2011 Silverado 1500 4×4 lifted here. I had the pleasure of dealing with David the manager and he was extremely helpful! For what I’m looking for, he recommended the pro comp stage II kit. I was a little nervous that it wouldn’t be high enough for me, but he assured me that I would live it! He was right. I absolutely love it!!! The truck looks amazing! The service was great, and they beat orw’s quote by almost $ 200. Thank you guys!

I have been sending business to 4 Wheel Parts for almost 5 years. As a professional in the Automotive Industry they got not only my business but my best customers. Last week was the last time I will EVER do business with them. I have spent THOUSANDS of dollars at their shop on numerous vehicles. From wheels, tires, a lift, timing belt, accessories you name it. They all of the sudden think its cool to overcharge, over promise and under deliver. Our next lift, wheels and tires will be bought elsewhere. My name is Sara Shively-​Young.

Very uneducated when it comes to pretty much any type of real off road fabrication. Overpriced. $ 23 to charge 1 shock?! Just go down the road to ORW.
