Love this place, the barbers are great and really know what you want. They give you a free drink every time you go so I always get a red Bull to get pumped up for my haircut… I have been a member for a year and loved it!

I really like this place, very friendly staff and laid-​back environment. They provide beers and other drinks to customers, which I’ve never seen at any other barber or hair cut place. I went here for the first time after a really bad cut at SportsClips, and the woman offered to fix the damage at a discount, and also provided me with a discount cards for my next 3 visits (not sure if this is the case for every customer). I have very thick hair, so I’ve been told (by workers there) that it takes longer for them to make sure everything is even and uniform. They have followed their own advice for the most part, except for my last visit, when it seemed like the individual cutting my hair was in a rush or something. They weren’t rude or anything like that, but I had to ask them to take a little more off the top (which isn’t uncommon) and when they had done that I could still tell there were uneven parts, and the front was significantly longer than the back. I’m not one to be picky and repeatedly ask they fix this or that, I feel rude when I have to. Just take your time and make sure it’s even. I had to ask my roommate to finish the job when I got home. They didn’t even out my sideburns, which I don’t think has ever happened to me. I have facial hair, but usually they will at least ask if I want my side burns taken up a bit, which I do because I always shave after a cut. Regardless, I will still go to Clippers, because I won’t take one mediocre experience over the other great cuts I’ve gotten from here.

They can deal with curly hair! All the personnel are very friendly and the produce they use are high quality! I will definitely keep going here!

I have come here every week for about three months because I bought my the annual pass. I see Jackie every Thursday and get a great cut and am warmly welcomed every single time. She does a great job and I’d recommend her and Clippers to anyone!

Sometimes I just want some art, on my head; that’s not permanent. So I go to clippers. Emily got this design cut in. I’d say it’s pretty good for the first try. I’m glad they serve red bull because the design takes a while. They have beer to but I would have fallen asleep. I’ll see what I can come out with next time.

They are the best. Each employee is very nice and they always do a great job with making sure you get the style you want. Jackie Hansen is awesome and she gives the best haircuts and is always fun to talk to, it doesn’t even feel like a salon because it’s such a friendly, social environment. Best place for haircuts in SLO.

As far as I’m concerned it’s the only place in town to get a great haircut. I’ve been coming here since they opened 10 years ago and wouldn’t consider going anywhere else. Katie, Michelle, Whitney, Jenna, and the rest are awesome. I highly recommended if you’re new in town or you’re looking for a new place. A great haircut at a great price and the girls are always fun and efficient.

Pretty unbelievable experience today. I’ve been to clippers maybe 5 or 6 times now, with mixed results. I’ve gotten one great haircut, a few mediocre ones, and this. I wanted a pretty simple haircut, and booked an appointment with Jenna.
They were backed up and must have been shifting appointments around, because I ended up getting a ‘stylist’ who I don’t think has ever cut hair before. She managed to buzz the sides of my head decently (minus one obviously shorter patch), but after that she looked at the top of my head, and was clueless on what to do. For the next half an hour she combed my hair, pretended to cut hair with the texturizing scissors or by snipping one hair at a time (no joke), and just played with it a little. After the shampoo, she’d tried to style it for a few minutes before just giving up.
I immediately went to great clips, and when I asked the lady there to fix it up, she said «Hahaha, tried to give yourself a haircut this morning?»
I ended up paying $ 40 total for a mediocre $ 10 cut from great clips. I will not be returning to clippers.

Best place I have been to on the Central Coast. Jenny is awesome. If you want a fresh cut, make sure you go here.

This place is a hit or miss for me, but I’ve been going here for quite some time and I’ve tried at least four people. Go to Jenna because with my experience, the cut was on point, it didnt grow out awkwardly and it lasted me awhile. She was actually the first person I’ve had do my hair and I think she’s the best one from the bunch. Try to schedule an appointment with her, everyone else is great but I think she does a better job with popualr and modern cuts, especially fades. Nikolai is good too.

Cristina? The hairdresser with the bright pink hair is my fav. I am stylistically challenged. She has shown me the light. Now wherever I go I get haircut dimensions she gives me. What attention to detail

Good place for a cut and wash. Nice welcome, clean and friendly. Overall service was great, nice environment also from the leather couch at check in to the final clip didn’t miss a beat. Nice walk in surprise.

Clippers is a great place for guys to go to get their haircut.
That’s all you need to know about this place, that’s all that matters about this place. Drinks while you get cut, super friendly stylists, text notifications for appointments, and lots of coupons on haircuts and products all make Clippers A+ in my book.
Michelle W. is my favorite stylist, she is always very friendly. She remembered me from my past cut even though it was a month prior and styled me exactly how I wanted! Thanks Michelle you’re the bomb!

Usually I get good haricuts here but this time not very much so. Avoid Katie, the red head with shoulder length hair. Has no confidence in her abilities, I could see it by the way she looked at my hair like it was a piece of confusing modern art…
Edit: 1 month later the haircut is filling out quite nicely, patience is bitter but it’s fruit is sweet. +2 stars

Since my initial review, I have been back and had a much better experience. (The owner Brian reached out to me with a free cut.)
Danielle (who no longer works there) cut my hair a few times; she did a great job and was very pleasant to work with. On subsequent visits, I have received nothing but great customer service.
Their website checkout is now updated with options for «women’s services,» which are two options for medium or long hair with higher price points. (I don’t know if signage in the salon has also been updated.) I’m glad they’ve made pricing more transparent.
