Rick just finished a steel frameset I made. He helped me choose the colors and did a fantastic job overall.

Y’all: Rick just painted a frame for me – like a previous reviewer, nothing especially valuable about the frame except that I really liked the way it rides and wanted a fancy, special paint scheme. I also asked for some frame detailing and cleanup down around the fork tips and rear dropouts. He added a pump peg as well. When the frame came back to me, I was thoroughly amazed. Gorgeous work, all details even better than anticipated. He masked fork crown and stainless headlugs; cleaned up, masked and polished dropouts; applied gleaming clearcoats. Then he surprised me by adding some white accents to complement white headtube. He did this on his own. Wow! I wanted it to remain mysterious, so I had a stainless headbadge made and other than that, no markings. M mystery. ‘What is it?’ It’s a Mystery. Thanks, Rick!

Rick by far has the attention to detail in creating a master piece. I brought a frame and fork to him to be painted and was happy with the process every step of the way. The frame wasn’t anything to write home about but it’s special to me. He ordered the decals to my specifications and had to wait a little longer for them to be printed. It definitely was well worth the wait. With his talents, he turned it into a bike I hope to keep for many years to come.

Rick is the best. He used to paint all the Ritchey frames until they moved production to Taiwan. He matched a pearlescent baby blue paint on my fork to perfection. This was a very difficult paint to match and he really delivered. Reasonable fast too(3 day IIRC). No email, maybe a Fax machine, just phone

Professional, great work, and no drama. I needed a fork upgrade and I took here for a color match paint job. It looks great!

I’ve had two frames refinished by Rick at D&D, both classic steel. In both cases, his work exceeded my expectations– it’s clear he takes a ton of pride in his work. The finish quality is very high, I’m amazed at how deep the paint looks, and the finish is quite durable. He is also very easy to work with and you can tell he enjoys his work, making the whole experience with D&D extremely positive. 5 stars!

Rick is a craftsman and an artist. He can refinish your bike frame far better than new. He painted my Colnago Super and it is perfect. As when working with custom work, its wise being patient. Work isn’t turned around in days but weeks. As with a memorable meal, its worth the wait. If Rick’s work isn’t way more than satisfactory, you probably can’t be satisfied!

Big shout out to Rick of D&D Cycles. My local bike shop referred me to him when I wanted a custom paint job for a tandem for my husband. He did an incredible job and I could not be happier. Here is the bike he did for me: .

This is the place to bring your old bike frame and have it custom painted. I took my frame in after a few years of abuse. I chose the custom colors and had a brand new bike after a few weeks.
