My’Amour Salon & Spa

I scheduled an appointment with JEELAN who was amazing. She took extra care with my hair and it looks so good. I would recommend everyone to that salon if they ask me. They also offer mimosas and other beverages while you’re getting your hair done. This place is super relaxing and everyone has really good customer service here.

I was told about this spot by my cousin and then my son. They both praised it, so it was my turn. Treated myself to the works, Massage, Facial, Manicure and Pedicure. And yes I to praise this spot, the Massage put me to sleep it felt so good, the facial was awesome and the young lady explained in detail what she was doing along the way. Mani — pedi was nice as well. I will definitely be back. See you guys again soon.

Jesus, Jerry… you rolled those painful knots out of my back in just a 30 minute neck and shoulder massage. I’d come back if this place wasn’t so far from where I live.

booked a spa day w/​2 of my girlfriends for a Sunday. all 3 of us got the taste of my’amour package– $ 150 each and it came w/​a 30 min massage, 30 min facial and a mani. it took a little bit of planning to get our services coordinated and on a schedule. i had asked if there was a communal area that we can hang out in and they mentioned they had the relaxation lounge.
they first took my 2 gf’s while i stayed in the front lobby. the receptionist offerred me a fruit and a brownie along w/​a glass of champagne. they also had cucumber water that was actually my fav thing of all.
the manicurist finally grabs me around 11:30 and i follow her back to a room w/​2 mani and 3 pedi stations. everything looked nice and clean.
after my nails were done i asked if i could head over to the relaxation lounge to see if i could join my 2 gf’s. so i walked over and they were both in there. we must have only had 10 mins there together before the masseuse came in and told me that they were ready for my massage so i followed her out to the room. this same masseuse ended up giving me my facial as well.
after both of those services were done i went to the mani/​pedi room to look for my friends and found one of them there and i found out that my 2^nd friend’s massage had not yet started yet and it was 130 p.m. by then. i hung out w/​my friend that was getting her mani done.
overall i felt they did a good job on their services but unfortunately i felt coordinating our services around the same time and encouraging our girlfriend time was not a focal point.
would i come back w/​my gf’s? yes prob i would. however i feel that you as the customer need to drive the coordination aspect yourself if you are here w/​others. this isn’t a horrible miss on the salon’s part but perhaps a nicer touch would have been if they had stated that we should all hang out in the relaxation lounge to ensure that we had our gf quality time as much as possible.

This was my 1^st time ever going to a spa, and I am hooked. My’Amour is high class all the way. It was a experiance I will never forget. As a single mom, at 1^st I felt bad for taking a little time for myself, but they were awesome. They took me away from the stresses of the outside world. I will be making a major effort to come back monthly.

And it was Fabulous. I walked in and was greeted with a smile, and offered a cold drink. Several choices actually. The service? Excellent !!! All the way through my time there!!! Tiffany was great for the massage and Olivia really helped me out with the skin problem I had, I walked out with healthier looking skin. I’ll be back for sure!!!

Saved me after a hair emergency. I had ugly Barbara Bush hair, and the gal at My Amour was able to make me not look like I had crawled out of an episode of Dallas.

Took my mother here on Mother’s Day for a massage. Upon arriving we were offered tea or coffee. There are lockers, showers and fluffy robes available among towels and other things. The ambiance as a whole was so relaxing and the staff was professional and polite. We were also provided with brownies, fruit and champagne. Great relaxing experience.
On another visit my girlfriends and I had a group session of mani and pedicures. I have the same sentiments regarding this visit. I love this place and will absolutely return!

OMG! Jerrick is amazing. I have been hurting all over the entire month. He made all the soreness and aches from all the running that I did go away. I walked out feeling relaxed and rejuvenated.
This place is beautiful they offer you water, champagne and mimosas before and after the massage. Plus they offered a sweet Brownie and fruit plate at the end. Well worth it. I have already booked my next visit.

THERESA! Specifically for color. I had dark brown/​black hair and she turned it into a blond masterpiece. This pic is kind of old, I’ve had a few more sessions since. Every time, she gets the color more and more perfect. I will only trust her with my hair!

5 stars again to Atheena, who is responsible for my 80+ hair pics on my iphone, plus FB albums dedicated to my hair and inspired most of my selfies. :)
7.10.15 — It has been 13 months since I last saw Atheena for cut, color & highlights, which, thanks to the ombré trend (6″ roots are trendy now!), still look good and so decided to save myself 5 hours in the chair and instead, just go for a cut + curls. Typically, I only get my hair cut once a year — because 1. I have so much hair and 2. putting myself at the mercy of others is stressful. This time, though, I was going for the sole purpose of layers + curls. I had previously gotten my hair cut (for free) and styled in June but although both were v. good, not the same as Atheena. I admire Sophia Vergara’s hair, for example. I instructed Atheena as follows: 1. I want FOUR layers with shortest layer shoulder length and long enough to pull back into ponytail sans barrettes (no bobby pins or barrettes for me). 2. BLENDED layers (no step ladder appearance) 3. U shape in the back (no wide V and not horizontal one — boring). 4. Cascading curls.
Atheena worked her magic and she remembered how she cut my hair last time (which I loved how it grew out). She commented for my thick hair, certain things needed to be done, like when texturizing (aka thinning) to use scissors with vs against the grain). When I noticed in one rear pic that the back was not a perfect «U», she explained why and promised me that the sides will grow to to form the U. In any case, when she fanned out my hair (more naturally), it does form a U, so I was satisfied and declined her offer to do more cutting. This is an example of why I appreciate Atheena — she will work with you to achieve the look you want and give you the pro’s and con’s and allow you to make the final decision.
Atheena stands out in these ways: 1. Memory — impressive — I see her once a year and she remembers my preferences and quirks (dislike hair spray, left side hair harder to curl than right). 2. Photo taking — not just final result — she’s good at taking flattering shots — but also at different stages — like when she is done and I want to see the back and she will go back and cut 2 – 3 times more until both sides perfectly symmetrical (I am a STICKLER for symmetry). 3. Curls — no one can curl my hair like her. She has a particular technique. 4. Attitude: Willingness to listen and resolve issues. Strives for perfection, low ego, pleasant demeanor. 5. Attention to detail: she makes me stand up several times and checks the evenness of both sides periodicly.
Tips: 1. Time: if you have thick hair like mine (halfway down back) and are a repeat customer, then you can come with your hair washed and damp (to save time at sink), plus request 2 hours and make sure you INSIST on receptionist booking 2 hours — I did so when I made appointment but somehow, someone else was booked at the 1.5 hour mark, so I felt conscious of other client waiting though Atheena kept checking in with me to see if I was satisfied with the way cut and curls looked. 2. Curls: this time it seemed as of my curls were looser and bigger and hair flatter when finished so will ask her to do smaller sections next time and tease crown more.

Tiffany just gave me the best massage ever. So good, I am sitting in the relaxation room as I write this review. I wouldn’t normally be on my phone at the spa but, I ran to the locker room real quick to grab it so I can leave this review. I’m already thinking of all the people I want to refer to her!
The spa itself is in a location you wouldn’t expect to find such a lovely oasis. Reception area is welcoming, ocker room is nice and clean, robes nice and plush, relaxation room chairs are super comfy and the pointsetta (champs/​cran) is yummy.
I don’t want to go home. I’m coming back in a couple weeks for a mani/​pedi and I am thinking about booking another massage for the same visit. I need a haircut too :)

I’ve been coming here for about 2 years to get my hair done by Jeelan. She’s awesome and definitely knows what she’s doing and what products to use. All of the staff is always kind and they offer you water, mimosa, or juice and brownies or strawberries. The salon is super clean and the spa side is just as busy as the salon side. A little pricey, like a higher end salon, but no crazy prices.

My cousin and I treated my Grandma to a girls day and we knew we were going to need a place close to her home. Spa finder led us here! (They no longer take spa finder gift cards)
I was treated by Kris for my Caribbean Body Scrub, Massage and Facial. It was wonderful! She used all Aveda products and served me champagne and fruit throughout my treatment.
My grandma and cousin had Emily, Olivia and Tiffany and they were equally pleased!
Definitely recommend!

I came here twice. Once to get a nice full body massage and another time to get a gel manicure and pedicure.
Although, I had a wonderful experience and the mimosas were really good. I felt that it was really expensive. My manicure and pedicure was $ 75 — a little expensive for my taste. And unfortunately there is only two employees working at once so it gets a little bit crowded.
I would come back here for the full-​body massage though. I’m not one to like people touching me, but I figured why not, let’s get a massage. And it was so good that I fell asleep on the table. If I were to come back it would be for the massage.

I’ve heard about this place through a friend of a friend and always wants to go there. My first plan was to go for massage and a facial but I’ve been wanting to cut my hair for the longest. I made an appt on Friday and was able to come in the next day. The place is very nice, clean a peaceful. Everybody is very friendly.
Atheena did my haircut and did an excellent job! I love it so much. She was very thorough on what she was gonna do to my hair and I loved it. Lot of other hairstylist would just start cutting. I’m very happy with the end result. My hair feels so healthy and has so much volume. I will be back!

I came here with my brother to have a facial (first time ever for a facial) and massage. This place was amazing. The people at the front desk, the masseurs, and the individuals making sure you are comfortable while waiting between sessions were so gracious and accommodating. It seemed the mimosas and fruit bowls would never end. We were checked on often and offered champagne and a variety of treats from fruit bowls to brownie bowls.
I really enjoyed my massage. My masseuse put me at ease, she was personable and had really good conversation throught the massage. She was really good when making sure she applied the proper amounts of pressure, and focused on the areas I requested before the massage.
The facial was very soothing and left my skin new born baby soft :) I’ve never had a face massage. Good times @ My Amor.
I would recommend My Amor for anyone. I have plans to take mom there soon, and also get a haircut and deep conditioning for men (I have curly hair. Its time)

Came to this spa aka hidden jewel I’d like to now call it– for my assistants birthday– I wanted to do something nice for and did NOT feel up for the drive to ritz half moon bay– let me first start off by saying all the staff are truly professional and courteous! We were greeted by being asked if we wanted something to drink/​who could resist a mimosa before w massage— my masseuse was EXCEPTIONAL very in tune to my needs and energy– This is def a spa that you would not expect to be in San Leandro across from Bayfair mall! The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because the sauna was broken :-(will be calling very soon to book my next appt thank you for a fabulous afternoon!!!
