Received outstanding customer service from Jennifer. Locked in sale price for me and searched multiple stores till she found all material needed to complete my project with flooring to match what was installed in 2008. Very accommodating. Very satisfied.

I showed up here looking for a replacement for water damaged floors in my house. We wanted to go with wood look tiles. Theirs was on clearance but there was not enough of it. Jennifer moved mountains and got as many pieces as she could from all over the country and had it waiting for us.
They even helped me load 49 boxes of tile by hand into my SUV.
The followup and follow through was phenomenal!

This place is just okay… we usually just go here to price compare shop and buy elsehwere… the two times we did the flooring was backordered or I had to drive to Burlingame across the bay myself to get it.Hassle. The service is decent and they seem to be knowledgable about their products.

Bought for my home, my stores and my rental houses. Save me tons of money! Floor I bought absolutely beautiful. Will recommend lumber liquidators to all of my friends!

My project — about 600 sq ft of laminate flooring including stairs. We shopped around the typical big box places including the big warehouses but just couldn’t find the color and build material that fit our needs.
Since this was Lumber Liquidators end of year sale, it was good timing as we were into December. We found a color /​pattern that we liked that we in our budget and the quality we were looking for. Best part? It was on sale!
Blanca was friendly on the phone and even more so in person. She explained our options given what we wanted to accomplish. No pressure and no sales push. Of course the advertised sale was ending in three days, so we had to make a decision fairly soon.
Our contractor was about a month out so no rush to take delivery which was good because it had to be ordered any ways.
We ordered T-​mouldings for the transition from our exisiting tile to the hardwood but turned out we needed a reducer instead. No problems, Blanca took care of us right away and they had it in stock.
Long story short, our floors came out great and well within our budget, which now allows us to do additional areas of our home with new flooring! Thank you Blanca and Lumber Liquidators.

Wow! I ordered 500 sqft of «cheap» flooring through the Manager Damon (San Leandro). I took it home and well, lets just say, It didn’t work out. Frankly, my poor choice was to blame. No problem — Damon said bring it back for a refund. I arrived & explained my limited budget and asked his advise; he worked with me to find an incredible deal on flooring. I will say, in both cases, I could not find a better deal anywhere! (I am one of these guys who patiently hunts for the best deal $ possible) However this time, with the careful advise of a trained professional, I am ecstatic with my new floor. This is a small place and its hidden in the middle of an industrial district. The workers here are very knowledgable, courteous, and helpful. Fairly large selection in comparison to other shops, especially those in the area. They also give samples out, unlike many Asian stores.

So I’m here right now at Lumber Morons. At first when you walk in everyone calls you boss (which we all know is blue collar for A** Hole). Then I give them my order which I paid for a week ago and they say they will be out shortly. After 15 min, I go in and say ok, I’m ready. Guy says, sorry boss, I’m training a new employee. I was like great! I drove here from San Jose because San Jose didn’t have the material and they won’t ship it between stores. Not to mention all stores are out of the transitions I needed to. So, this character says an other guy is working on my order. I wait another 15min and go into the warehouse find knucklehead and say ok «Boss» I’m ready. He says, wait a bit, I have to find it under this stack…

I spent a bit of time on the Lumber Liquidators website looking at various flooring before I went to the store. I went in thinking I wanted engineered hardwood. After talking with the manager (I forgot his name, sorry), he really took the time to explain various options of wood and the pluses and negatives. I found three kinds I liked that were bamboo. One style he did not have a sample of, but went in the back and opened a new box and cut me a sample right away! Fantastic service, I did eventually order that bamboo flooring and it looks fantastic. I installed it with my dad, super easy, click together flooring. And I’ve never installed hardwood floors, or any floors for that matter!
What I ordered was the Morning Star, Scarlet Antique Click Strand Bamboo. Fantastic stuff! I get compliments all the time!

Caveat Emptor
I wish I had checked the reviews before buying. The Virgina Mills ¾ths inch solid hardwood is made of up bad seconds. The main problem is that the widths of the various stips vary by as much as ¹⁄₁₆^th of an inch. There is no way you will be able to construct a floor without major gaps. Nor can you fix the problem yourself; your typical table saw is not good enough for this level of work. Add to that, the high number of blemishes (which is what I was expecting) and the cost is way too high for this garbage.
Simply stated, your finished floor will not be even minimally or barely satisfactory.

As we all know looking for new flooring for your home is not an easy task.
We all want a great quality product at a very fair value, but more importantly we want great customer service. We want an employee who knows their product who is considerate of our needs. We want an employee who is professional and prompt with emails, phone calls.

Walked into a small but stylish showroom full of customers i thought for sure this was a mistake. Just as i was thinking this i here a voice greet me and say welcome to lumber liquidators feel free to look around my name is Kyle and someone will be with you shortly. As i was looking through the large varieties of wood floors i couldn’t help but notice how Kyle was like a ninja helping customers and employees with this happy non stress attitude about him. Then it was turn the big moment he helped me convince my wife to go with the better quality choice and we were so pleased we did. My neighbors chose a cheaper product and it looks like it. They had my choice on hand and it looks like a million dollars. We have since been back and got more flooring. Kyle is the reason this store shines make sure you ask for him and he will take care of you.

The WORST service ever! Remodeling our house and it took us a few trips to different stores for our floor we finally found one that we loved and we chose to get it through this store. First mistake was they never had anyone at the front to help us and when they did help it was only to tell us that they didn’t have the floor there in stock we had to go to Burlingame to pick it up! We went a second time to purchase more and now they had switched the material they used for the floor so what we bought last time was a waste because the new floor wouldn’t attach to it! Once we found the correct floor we were sent to Burlingame again! Now we need the floor layout and we go to the store and my husband is waiting 35 minutes for a shop that should only be 15 minutes! That is bs. Do not come here! Worst service and definitely not interested in the customer! Last time I buy from these people!!!

Downright Cheaters! Stay away.
They packaged floor trims and shipped to me at home directly, without me ordering it.
We were just discussing it but I never ordered it. The items came to house pretty late, much after my floor job was done. So obviously I didnt want it. They refuse to take it back with lot of excuses. I gave them more than 5000 worth of floor business, but they would not take my 200 worth of materials back as return, which was wrongfully sent and never ordered by me.
Last but not least, same store attendennt was so rude during the return part of transaction. I almost could not believe the false face he wear to sell the stuff.
There are lots of stores in san leandro, who can do price match or better than «lumber liquidators» that you dont need to fall for these crappy sellers.

NEVER AGAIN! I purchased a floor from this store and they didn’t have the thresholds in stock. They assured me that it would be in within 2 weeks. I installed the floor in my house ~400sq and planned on doing the trim work when the threshold comes in.
5 months later and several phone calls and assurances the product was on its way they told me the item was no longer available. They said they tried to call but I never got a call, never got a message, and then said they had management problems so they couldn’t be held responsible.
No effort what so ever to help right their wrong. They should have known this flooring was being discontinued and should have told me when I purchased it. Instead they hid the fact and then won’t own up to making it right.
Sorry to say but this company is no longer customer oriented, a complete 180 degree turn from my previous experience 5 years ago. I will no longer recommend them to anyone.

I learned a few things about shopping for flooring.
1. You need to let the hardwood flooring get acclimated in your house before installing them (2 – 4 days depending on the wood).
2. You should check for their scratch resistance by getting a key and scratching the sample. Most of the wood that have a protectant won’t show the scratch. Bamboo is horrible with scratches! Run a key across it and see the huge scratch you leave behind.
3. Click lock wood does not have to be glued/​nailed to the floor.
4. Hardwood/​engineered wood is pretty darn expensive. $ 4 – 6 per square feet doesn’t sound bad until you multiply it by 2000 which is what I need. And that doesn’t even include labor for the installation!
I don’t know what’s up with all the bad reviews? Maybe I just got lucky with a good employee (store manager from a different store) who was very helpful and resourceful. That’s probably why he’s a store manager.
After looking through the options, I settled with a few choices… Hardwood/​Engineered wood. We asked for a sample which they didn’t have so he went to the back, took a board and cut us a piece to use as a sample. Wow, now that’s customer service. Most places just tell you they are out of samples and leave it at that.
And they have the hardwood floor in stock which means I can get it right away… Score!

We were wandering in that area to buy new laminate flooring for our living room. We were looking for laminate because that’s the only thing that will resist our cats!
They have a very large selection of laminate starting at $ 0.99/foot, then bamboo flooring, and wood flooring. The dark brown I was looking for was really above and beyond, and they are one of the very few stores that carried 10 mm and 12 mm (higher quality). The undercoating was also the cheapest by far for $ 18.99 for 300 square feet (lowes & home depot were 10 times that price, and the other stores were $ 27.99 for 300 square feet).
We ordered our chocolate brown laminate and were told it was going to be about 2 – 3 weeks. They’re not very good about following up because they’re a very busy store… so 3 weeks later, I call, and they said 1 more week. So we go after 1 month, and ask to open the laminate before we sign the release forms… good thing we did, because the flooring was defective. The guy inspected it and said, yes, this is a problem, I’ll take care of it. He didn’t charge us as was planned, and a week later, we had the correct flooring. As a gesture for having had us wait so long and go through the problems, they gave us a discount. So overall I’d say we’re very satisfied, because they can’t control the defects (especially since we saw lots of other shipments to other customers which looked fine), but they did recognize the problem and take corrective action, which is the only thing they could do.

Do not buy here. I have filed a compalint with the BBB. They perform the bait and switch with flooring. We thought we bought light maple and ended up $ 4000 later with 50% black knotty wood. They will not return claims calls at headquarters and will not take back the product which is obviously different from their display at the store. The store manager, Lisa, is unwilling to take back the inferior product.
