These guys quoted me a low price, then when I clarified they gave me the run around, avoiding my calls.
Don’t bother with them it’s a waste of time!!!

I can’t lie, I didn’t read the reviews before hiring Hercules and it scares me now that I am reading them that I blindly hired them. But my experience with Hercules was great! I had a local move that took about 10 hours and the guys hustled and got it done in a timely manner. Victor Edwin Chris Jose and Arthur were my guys and they were great! They were professional and had great attitudes throughout the whole day.

DO NOT USE!!! I can’t say this enough. Do not use this company. This is long but please read. If you have been scammed by them please message me.
They are absolutely the worst company I have ever dealt with. Not just worst moving company worst of ANY COMPANY.
When the movers arrived they stated it was going to be more than estimated but not to worry about it. They never gave an exact amount. We had to be on the road so we said ok. After everything was loaded they almost tripled the amount. When we questioned it their response was «well we can unload it back in your driveway if you would like but we aren’t taking it back inside.» Mind you it was 10:30pm when they finished. We had no choice as we had to out and on the road to start new jobs.
Now that alone would be bad enough. Well that is just the beginning. They said it would take 21 days and we would have the stuff on July 21^st. We called on July 20^th and asked what time it would arrive. We were told the stuff is being loaded and would be a few days late. We called back on July 23^rd and spoke to another person and they said that the stuff is still in the warehouse and they would be loading it soon. Two days later we called and they stated that they haven’t been able to find a truck yet. They stated they are having multiple mechanical problems with different trucks. (Interesting since I started doing research and was told this would be their excuse.) They also said that it was «their busiest time so we should have expected delays». Interesting that they signed a contract with a specific date but then follow it up with a «well that date wasn’t a sure thing since we are so busy.» Seems like they negotiated a contract in bad faith. They said they would call in a week. The following week they didn’t call we had to call. They pretty much stopped answering any calls and never returned calls. We had to start going through the sales office. Funny how the sales office answers on the first ring but nobody else does.
Finally middle of August they arrived with our stuff. Of course not all of our stuff. We were missing multiple boxes and items. We talked the driver and he told us who to call. I called the person and she was awesome and very helpful. She sent me the form. I sent it back to her and didn’t hear back. I continued to follow up and found out she no longer worked there. (Best employee and actually helpful but all of a sudden not there. That is a strange coincidence.) The drive and the lady we spoke to walked us through the steps on how to claim the missing items. They told us to contact CSI Pro. We did all this and then Hercules claimed that we received everything and fought our claim. They stated we signed saying we received everything which is not true as we noted the items we didn’t receive. We also followed the instructions of the driver and the customer representative.
We also had damages to about 60% of our items. Couches ripped, entertainment center broken, dresser scratched up etc. We tried to download the pictures to CSI and they wouldn’t take a file that big. We emailed them but then they stated that they didn’t receive them and denied our claim. So we have to appeal.
As we started going through our boxes it was clear multiple boxes had been opened and looked through. We were missing items out of boxes. The boxes were retaped and since when you move you have hundreds of boxes they realize you won’t notice this until they are long gone. We filed this in our CSI claim and the response was «since you didn’t see it when it was unloaded it didn’t happen.» How exactly are you going to be able to notice every box while they are unloading?
Finally I find it very interesting that the items/​boxes missing were items that are easy to resale and impossible to trace. My 16 year old daughter’s wardrobe box with all her jeans, dresses, sweaters, and expensive winter jackets was one of the boxes missing. I wonder what the resale value on designer jeans and jackets are? Impossible to trace. All our good pots and pans, as well as other kitchen items, all gone. Impossible to trace. This is just the tip of the iceberg. They ended up losing multiple boxes all with stuff that is easy to sale. We didn’t lose any boxes with pictures, toys, files, etc… Weird that the boxes that were lost weren’t the boxes that aren’t worth anything to resale. I am sure it is just a coincidence, right?
Please do not use them. Please understand that they are nothing more than crooks. Notice how the owner Lior has responded to all the positives on this but only responded to one negative one and it wasn’t that negative. Read the other reviews on here. These same things have happened to others and all were treated the same way. DO NOT USE THEM!!!

Let me just say that I am more than frustrated with the overall experience of this company. I hate writing bad reviews, but this has to be done and I have also written a letter to the BBB reporting this company. First off let me say that the rep (will not disclose his name) in the customer service was great!!! But there is something to be said and warned when an employee makes a comment after you say «You guys have been so helpful with setting up this move» and his response is «just wait until everything is completed and then let me know how you feel.» Well if I had of known what I know now, I would’ve ran (not walked) away. Now $ 3,700 + dollars later I have figured it out. Lets start with the day that the movers arrived. Yes, my situation was unique In that I was separating from my husband and needing to move out urgently. The workers (5 of them) came in and packed everything up and as I pointed they packed. I watched them pack pretty much all of my things with the help of my teenage daughter and my friend and her husband that were there. I watched them pack up my lamp shade, all my coats that I have collected and bought in my adult life (20 years!!!), clothing, an area rug, etc. I tipped the guys very well when they were done and they ran my card immediately for payment. The distance was from Northern California to Southern California. My things arrived within 5 days, that was good, but when the guys arrived, the truck was packed with ATLEAST 5 other customers items and none of the boxes were labeled (i.e. kitchen, bathroom, etc), but with only a small blue sticker!!! For all of my things that took 5 men to pack and load, they sent 2 men to unload. One petite guy that was stronger and faster than the big burly guy that was out of shape and breathe and quite lazy. In the end to summarize it, they tore my couch and scratched up my furniture, they lost ALL of my coats, tore some of my clothing while using a BOX CUTTER to cut open a box of clothing, left furniture that should have been reassembled unassembled, marked up my walls, broke an antique item… Then when I call them to locate my items, nobody knows anything and have not done much every up until today (4 months later) to locate and or compensate me for these valuables. I went through there insurance claim department CSI and they are an even bigger joke and lazy. I have sent all documentation, photos, etc and all they offered me was $ 60.00 on an originally priced sofa sectional of $ 2900.00!!! They mover at the pick up location talked me out of covering my things beyond the basic coverage and I believe they did this because they knew that they were 1) planning to STEAL my items 2) knew that damages would be great. I lost more, but I don’t even have the time or the energy to disclose. I will say this my husband relocated from the South to the West Coast and his employer used a very reputable company Crowne Relocations and our experience with them was hassle, worry and drama free! There is an old saying «You get what you pay for.» However, in my case I didn’t. I was over charged and I lost more in the end with the damage and loss of my valuables. I have contacted an attorney and will be pursuing this further. Trust me please turn the page on even considering this company. I am a business owner myself so I understand the importance of good service and referrals, but I am sorry to say these guys get a 0 out of 10 for me!!!

Company highly underestimated cost in sales quote, loaders were late to pick up, unhelpful CS, company keeps adding fees every day. DO NOT TRUST THEM! Began move from Hawaii to San Francisco and contacted their sales department, that was calling itself Cardinal Movers in Hawaii. Salesman quoted us at about $ 1200 for total move. Made a deposit of $ 150. Gave us a pick up date and that was it. I had to call to confirm pick up. They said they would arrive between 8am-​5pm. They didn’t show until 6:30pm. All my items were already boxed and the movers still took 4 hours. Total price ended up being $ 4700! Missed my plane flight to California because of this and they refused to provide any compensation though drivers promised they would. Upon delivery in San Francisco the company, now calling itself Hercules, called and tried to charge me an additional $ 375 for them having to place items in a «shuttle» though when they arrived it was in the same size truck as they picked it up. They then wanted me to pay the remaining balance in cash, though 2/​3rds of the payment was already made in credit card. I could not receive the shipment because I didn’t have cash. They never called to reschedule. Made several attempts to contact them and no answer. Finally got through one month later and they then tossed an additional storage fee of $ 425 on the total. When I asked if could cut down on some of the fees by picking up the shipment myself they tossed an additional Storage Handling fee of $ 400 on top to discourage me. The following day I received a bill for $ 848 for two months of storage fees instead of just one. I contacted them several times and finally got through to someone. She said she would contact me in one-​to-​two business days with answers so that I can pay my fees and finally get my things. She never called back. I have tried calling since and the company has no answer for storage, customer service or pick up and there is no messaging system.

Moved from Vegas to Hawaii. Everything started out fine; the Vegas movers were professional, courteous and careful with my stuff. And then the waiting game happened. Two months later I’m calling the customer service line on my paperwork. Apparently no one ever answers that line. I called two weeks straight and left a message every single time. Think anyone ever called me back? Nope. So I’m stressing, not knowing what to do. I call the number again only I select the prompt as a potential customer, oh yeah, they’ll pick up that line. I explain my dilemma to which I’m given a California number which leads to dispatch. Then I call for another two weeks being told the same thing twice;“the container arrived this weekend. Give it 3 – 5 business days for someone to schedule the delivery date.” I was livid the 2^nd week they told me this so I flipped my lid on the girl I was talking to but she de-​escalated me asking me to please give it another few more days. That same morning (it was a Monday) someone else called to schedule delivery for Wednesday and told me I would get a call 24 hrs prior to delivery for confirmation. Well that call never came so I called the morning of, provided my order number and the girl said that if no one had called me the day before, then my stuff would not be arriving. I’ve read other reviews that their stuff did not show up as scheduled either so I set myself up to be disappointed n did not prepare for delivery. To my surprise the truck showed up. That 24 hr notice was imperative for me because in order to get my things in the small Hawaii home I have, I gotta take the living rm furniture out. Not only that, i wasn’t going to have $ 2k cash in my house with no confirmation they were actually coming. So I called management and Jazzmin changed the verbiage on me, telling me that I did in fact get confirmation because I was called «24 to 48 hrs prior and that was a loading confirmation call.» Ummm no, that was the day I was called to schedule delivery. So because she’s changed the verbiage to include «48 hrs» they have since added another $ 700 to my bill. $ 300 for storage and $ 400 for the movers having to unload and reload. No discount will be given per management because they can’t locate the 2 different ppl who advised me of the 24 hr notice. Still stressed and without my belongings and I just want to cry over the additional $ 700 charge. I’ve got 4 kids under the age of 7 and worked so hard to move back home for this company to rape me financially and emotionally.

Here’s as real as it gets… Don’t use them if you are not prepared to encounter a bit of everything that you have already read on everyone else’s reviews. Also, if you have tremendous patience and a go with the flow attitude, then you will save money and they might actually be a good fit.
Salesmen…Brady and Phillip… talk a great game and are at your beck and call until the day of your move. They say don’t read the reviews and instead look at their DOT score. Well that’s because the DOT score doesn’t allow blogging. And… more importantly, their DOT score kinda blows too ;) You for sure won’t be able to contact them once your stuff is in route… and by chance if you do, Brady especially, turns dumb as a doornail and unwilling to help.
Movers…Moved from Oakland, CA to Florida. Our boy Brady said these guys would be «Wizards» in taking everything apart for us and getting it done quickly. LMFAO!!! Angel and his crew were far from it. Angel walked in and within 7 minutes said looks like your cubic feet is over and it’s going to be $ 1100 more than your estimate. Remember that your buddy buddy salesmen will tell you there are absolutely no hidden costs and no «day of» moving fees. And guess what… Big Brady doesn’t answer his phone all day either. So after arguing with Angel for a few hours… I just decided to give in and feed his crew with food, weed, and alcohol and by the end of the move I was only charged $ 60 extra. They will try and charge you for every step passed 75 feet they take. They try and charge for stairs… they try and charge if your couch isn’t in a box? Who puts a couch in a box? They say they have to put your mattresses in boxes and charge you for those too. These turds tried to charge for everything until I distracted them to where they forget who they were working for. 10 hours later they finished with our 2 bedroom apartment. But it’s whatever, our stuff was packed.
The time between delivery… They don’t start moving your stuff until AFTER the day you say you will be there. So if you move on the first, say your ready to receive on the 2^nd so maybe by the 15^th your stuff will be there! We moved on July 27^th, I said I would be in Florida on July 30^th… I was still in California really. I made it to Florida on August 10^th and our stuff still didn’t come until August 25^th. I made them take $ 30 off each day it was past the 7 – 16 business day window.
The Delivery… what a turnaround. First let me tell you… they do indeed subcontract out your delivery. So you really have no idea who will be delivering your stuff. One guy out of the 4 – 5 guys will say he works for Hercules and puts a cute t-​shirt on to pretend, and the other are the locals he scooped up. That all being said… IGOR was the Man. His crew was superb. They unpacked our 2 bedroom apartment in 2 hours and carried it all up 3 flights of stairs without never even mentioning the thought of an extra charge. They were simply top notch professionals. So much so, that I got the local’s numbers so that they can personally help us with our next move! We had some dings and dents but nothing major… all my electronics and big ticket items made it just fine. I tipped Igor and friends Big! Angel in Cali didn’t get a dime extra.
Moral of the story… if you are moving from California to somewhere… beware! Angel and his crew of immigrants were nothing but crooks trying to make a buck. They failed b/​c I was on «high» alert. Use Hercules if you want to be fed a bunch of BS in the beginning of your stressful move that everything will be great. Use them if you are not overly concerned about the timing on the arrival of your goods. Use them and you will pay much less than everywhere else it seems. Otherwise… read these reviews and tell Brady to go F$&K himself and holler at U-​Haul!

Our stuff finally arrived, seven days after the last day of the guaranteed arrival time frame. Unfortunately, things took a further dive once we realized the following – and this is just what we have noticed SO FAR:
1. Two beds are missing (one was the headboard of my great grandmother’s wrought iron bed that I had salvaged and restored – irreplaceable.)
2. All of the hardware needed to put together our furniture that did arrive are missing. Meaning, instead of a master bed, dining table and desk, we have piles of wood. Completely unusable.
3. MANY other furniture items (tables, drawers, dressers) are damaged to the point that they are either unusable or so unsightly we wouldn’t want to use them anymore.
Upon notifying Hercules about the issues, they got back to us with a few-​sentence email with the address of a third-​party claims company. They have washed their hands of us. It’s our problem to solve.
Just to clarify. We packed up our three beds. Now my family has ZERO beds. The majority of our furniture that arrived is unusable. I feel that we would have received a higher level of service had we just asked someone on the street to move all of our belongs to Seattle and gave them money to get a truck.
We have gone from disappointed about the delay to sad and dismayed about the delivery.
What are the chances we will recoup any money? I am going to guess, very slim. What a terrible experience and, in the end, we paid top dollar to get this terrible experience to boot.

Don’t ever go with this company! They promised that they will not be using a third party company to do the moving, but they DO do this. We were moving from California to Atlanta. They lost 2 of our biggest boxes and after months of back and forth communication with Hercules and the insurance company, they reviewed and offered $ 60 for $ 1500 worth of 2 boxes worth of our goods. I was devastated, upset, and exhausted. If you do decide to go with this company, make sure you get good insurance!!!

I was charged double. I’m actually still waiting for my stuff and it’s a day later than expected and I haven’t heard from the driver.

Stay away… do NOT use this company… This was such a horrible experience I really don’t want anyone else that relies on Unilocal to make the same mistake.
We relocated to Southern California and made the huge mistake of using this company. Not only did they break the legs off one of our tables, two lamps and a damaged our sofa BUT as far as I am concerned people in their warehouse may have stolen some of our stuff. We also never received a number of items including a few expensive items that we were silly enough to have moved — move expensive stuff yourself.
When we tried to address these problems with the company we were stonewalled and the customer service was worse than awful. They simply could not care less. One of them told me «well that’s why we offer insurance»…I was just astounded. We never had our items found and were treated so badly I jet felt I had to write this review to make sure nobody else that relies on Unilocal makes the same mistake. This is the most expensive mistake I’ve made…

After 3+ weeks of that worst moving experience with Hercules Moving Systems, I read through the contract letter carefully so I can reach out to any insurance company that they provide to claim any damages and losses. Their affiliated insurance company was called CSI, which asked me for so many types of paper works and photographs. I spent quite of time put these together, so I can resolve this headache.
They reviewed and offered $ 24 for $ 170 worth of wooden side table that Hercules lost its part. The reason was in the contract, there is this hidden contract words saying, they can offer 60 cents per pound of damaged or lost items. They quoted my table as 40lb., so they figured it should be $ 24 !! Also, in the email, they asked me to remove any negative letter after I shove in that $ 24.
LoL… they are both jokers and highly unprofessional.
People! Never hire Hercules Moving. You have a high chance to experience what I experienced with this ghetto company. They are highly unprofessional and just very bad after taste for everything.

I just moved from San Francisco downtown to Pasadena, CA in December through the Hercules Moving Systems. I chose this company because it was affordable and they were able to move my belongings at the last moment of my search.
The company works as groups of partnership of dispatchers, shippers, movers, allocators and etc, divide its profits among these groups and charge extras for extra services such as wrapping TV, elevator charges and 18 wheeler truck loading agreement fee (will talk about this below).
I gave one star to this company although it started just fine, but it quickly became the worst experience. They were 2 hours late when they showed up (around 6PM!), but I was nice to the movers, and even gave $ 60 tip to three guys who were nice and detail.
However, when I arrived in Pasadena, CA, I had to wait for 2 weeks to receive my furniture and things. It arrived 2 days later from that 2 weeks period, and the dispatching team’s manager and I had an intense conversation about this because he wants me to wait even longer, and this could of been the after Christmas or during my holiday vacation period.
The guy wanted me to pay him $ 300 extra to bring in their 18 wheeler truck, which is ridiculous for barely over 325 sq feet amount of furniture that I have. The reason is of course to delay my things for another few days until they are done with other tasks, so I knew my list was least important to them. As I threaten to sue them (after I read some review here, I saw another reviewer actually sued them), they were bit more flexible, however, I had to wait 2 extra days.
The day of arrival, they came in on time, but you know what? They were delaying my things because there was another new tenants in our apartment complex who were moving in through their service at the same time & the same day! They should of told me this & I would of compromise them instead of arguing them.
OK, that’s fine. Whatever. right? When they finally brought in everything, it wasn’t over. They were missing a leg of my night stand, and one guy smirked at me and told me three legs can support the table! WTF? Is this a joke? I was so pissed off, but tried not to show my emotion & I was so tired of everything. It’s like the worst moving experience ever.
Now I wrote a claim to their directed moving insurance resource website,
. I posted the signed moving paper with the list of items, photo of the furniture with a missing leg and its retail information with the price indicated.
I uploaded these around Christmas period, so I will wait and see what happens next.
Will they actually replace my furniture or try to ignore me at all? I will update the next event here, but for now, I am still upset with their unprofessional services and they deserve one star from me. If they pay me back for the furniture, I will rethink.

I would give negative stars if possible due to the office staff’s inability to refund the money promised to us.
The movers themselves were great. Their time prediction for the move was accurate to within the hour. Prior to scheduling the move the office said they would bill us only for the time it took to complete the move. If it took 5.5 hours then we would be billed for 5.5 hours, not 5 hours and not 6 hours.
When the movers completed and left they said we could call for our refund. We did this in October 2012 and have not seen a refund check yet and it is 13 months later. We have now spoken to 4 people and the 5^th person was out of the office. Apparently this individual was the one who processes the refunds.
DO NOT SCHEDULE A MOVE WITH THIS COMPANY! THERE ARE MANY OTHER ONES OUT THERE.

Used it to move from California to Michigan. The price was reasonable for a small move. It took less than a month from pick up day to delivery day.
The pick up service was good. They had 3 or 4 guys coming to pick up. They arrived on time and finished the job quickly.
The delivery service was horrible. Only one guy came. You can imagine how long it would take or how much unloading and unpacking you have to do yourself if you are eager to have your stuff in place!
They lost my queen-​bed headboard. They sent me a claim form and said they need 3 weeks to look for it first. I contacted them multiple times after another month and no one replied! They call you everyday before you reserve a move with them. However, after you paid the money and still have stuff missing, they just ignore you… That’s very annoying.

MOVERS BEWARE !!! SCAM If there was a section where i could post NO Stars this company will get it. They wrongfully quoted me and scammed me. and I am missing a few boxes and in the process of filing a lengthy claim. The crew was unprofessional well and dont expect any help from their supervisor. They use third parties as well so things are he say she say. Even after hiring them I still had to get a U –Haul and move myself, in other words they never complteted the job. Worst company ever!

Great Service! Hercules Moving for the outstanding job they did with my move. I have made several residence moves in the past, not always with good results but Hercules exceeded my expectations. The positive experience started with the return call from their account rep The quoted price was very fair and, as it turned out, an incredible deal. The moving team was very professional and focused on making sure that my possessions and property were well protected. They even had to carry furniture and appliances up a double flight of stairs and never hit the walls or banisters. Even when they finished, there was no damage at all. I would highly recommend them for any move contemplated and will use them again in the future.

To make the longest story short … Used them to move from San Francisco to Las Vegas and it was the worst experience ever! I SERIOUSLY would have been better off renting a U-​Haul and doing it myself, or selling everything and buying all new in Vegas. I strongly urge you to do so. OR, opt to pay extra for them to pack and box everything so that they are liable to replace everything they lose and/​or break, but even then it’s not being replaced at face value.
Upon pick up they wanted to charge me double because, «our phone rep did not accurately guesstimate how big your couch was (it’s an average sectional) and she did not include your bed frame and box spring when calculating your bed.» … I honestly don’t know how much more clearer I could have possibly been about every detail of every piece of furniture I’d be having them move. The driver/​mover was very friendly and he gave me quite a break on the price but still charged me $ 200 more than the «guaranteed quote». What is someone supposed to say and do on the day they HAVE to move?!
Upon delivery:
— Boxes labeled «fragile» were delivered crushed and items broken
— 90% of my boxes had punctures on them.
— Boxes were missing
— Brand new furniture all had dings on every corner and scratches on surface
— if you sign that you received, you’re also signing that all the missing items and damage is ok!!! So, there’s no way out!!!
Please know I am a meticulous mover. I counted and labeled all my boxes and had my own list of every single item they took. I also took «before» pictures of everything. I went overboard with bubble wrapped on all fragile items. I filed a claim that should have been $ 1500 worth of compensation to make replacements. Even with all my evidence they offers me $ 0.00. … Even with boxes missing they still felt like they owed me ZERO because I signed to receive my property which released them from liability.
Needless to say I’m furious and pray that none of you go through what I went through. Honestly, just move it yourself or sell it!

SUSPICIOUS 5-​star reviews for this company! In a word, unprofessional.
Selling the dream and serving the nightmare. Low-​balled by the salesman who also backpedaled on the specifics when confronted about them. Moving team was courteous and efficient, but then again, when shipment arrived, couldn’t confirm a date or time and never returned phone calls. Lousy. Website and blog is utter rubbish and BS, service doesn’t stand up to their word.
Would be 0 stars, 1 star for moving crew.

I hired Hercules Moving Systems for an interstate move from Mountain View, CA to Chicago, IL. They picked up my items, including a piano, which they said they could handle, on June 21^st. The items were delivered Aug 10, 3 days after the 16 business day window period was up. They were three days late. Not a big deal.
The big deal is my piano is utterly destroyed. They made no effort to contact us regarding this between pick up and drop off. Only AFTER they made us pay at the delivery location (they make you pay your balance before you unload) did they tell it us it was «damaged.» Try both front legs of a Charles Walter French Provincial 3000 dollar piano being completely snapped off. I have attached pictures. They speak for themselves. According to the driver, «it was like that when we picked it up in California.» Yeah right. It had clearly been dropped, likely when it was moved to the completely unnecessary shuttle smaller truck that they tried to charge us for when the claimed it was necessary for our building. They finally admit it was completely for the convenience of the driver, who didn’t want to deal with an 18-​wheeler. They waived that 300 dollar charge after much back and forth.
But that’s not helping me or my piano. Please see photos.
Big mistake. Still waiting to hear back regarding our claim. Do not hire them. Period.

THEY LOST A BOX!!! THEY WON’T WRITE/​CALL BACK! HATE THEM!
If you look at my reviews, I’m normally pretty nice. But fuck hell no, I don’t know where else I can rate these guys with a zero or less… but screw these guys straight to the depths of hell.
First, the quote was DOUBLED when they arrived — I mean really? It’s a one bedroom apartment? How does it cost $ 2000!!! And you’re screwed because they don’t tell you how much it costs until your stuff is loaded on their truck. It’s like they’re holding you hostage!
Then the guys who drop my stuff off — they’re supposed to call you with 24 hour notice. This jerk calls me at 9:30PM the night before and wants to be there at 7AM… really? Then they come and they lose a box! I’ve been calling them to no avail.
Should have checked Unilocal first, learned my lesson.
