I have been going to California Hair for over five years. Diana is my stylist. She is inspired. I always get compliments on my hair. Once I had to travel for a few months to another state, and went to a different stylist. She wanted to know who did my hair, because it was so good. When I moved to San Francisco, I still came back to San Leandro to see Diana. It is mandatory. She is the best I have ever seen. I always feel most beautiful after I see her. She is an artist. Plus, very funny. I’ll never leave.

This review is for Georgette. She is AMAZING with hair. I am always in love with my cuts and colors. She actually LISTENS which has not been my past experience with other stylists and salons. It’s also a huge benefit that she’s a very kind woman. I HIGHLY recommend her service.

you might not get the visual of other high priced salons, but you will get the best color or cut, and you wont be overcharged. Everyone here really knows their stuff. It doesn’t matter who you go to they all have loads of experience
I have long hair, and most places I go (who will actually do a good job) will charge 3.5 times as much. I really cant afford $ 300+ every 4⁄6 weeks, and here I could get my hairs done every week if I needed to.

I walked into the salon today and stood by the register. There was only one Asian woman working. She was on a personal call for approximately 10 minutes, never acknowledging my presence. When she finally hung, she ignored me and started washing another customer’s hair. With that, I finally walked out. Even if each employee only rents a space, it is totally unacceptable to ignore any potential customer, especially if you are the only employee in the salon. Not one penny of mine will EVER be spent there!!!

I finally found my own stylist. I love Diana and have been going to her for over 5 years and I call her whenever I need something. I dont trust anyone with my eyebrow waxing but Diana.

I happened on this salon because I needed a hair cut and was new the area 13 years ago. The stylist I have been seeing is Ana.
It’s simple, An goes, I go. If Ana quits the business, or retires, I’ll look elsewhere.
Visually, this salon is in serious need of an update, physically and stylistically… the retail products they have need serious dusting. NOTHING has changed in the salon since I’ve Ana has been cutting my hair.
Ana is five stars, but the salon is a zero.

I love this salon! Before I came here, I never had a regular hair stylist or place to get my hair done. I came in with long hair that hadn’t been cut in a long time because college life in san jose tends to keep me busy. I left with a cute, layered hair cut. The only issue I have with it is that she cut my hair shorter than I wanted. If it weren’t for that I would have given it 5 stars.
