I went to the city today to visit a friend and to buy Bavarian sweet mustard from a German Store on Church. I found this bread — Sunflower bread there along with my Bavarian mustard. Came home and buttered up some bread — it’s delicious! I was pleasantly surprised to find it’s made in San Leandro for I live in Alameda! All I need to do is find out where I can buy it on this side of the bay!

We specially get the dark rye for our sandwiches.
This bread company doesn’t have their own shop but you can find their bread at Cross Roads in Hayward, European Market in Castro Valley and San Ramon and Munchner Haus Deli in Fremont.

So my father actually has been working here for more than 20 years him and the owner/​boss/​manger are the only two that make the actual bread and delivery it. It is located on Doolittle dr near the end of the water right across the street from the apartment complex.

This review is based on one loaf of bread I bought at Babushka’s in Walnut Creek.
I have never been to the actual location. I have only tried their Klosterbread.
The bread was fantastic. Just try it toasted with a little butter. You will understand how epic this bread is.
Now I am obsessed with finding their bread somewhere, anywhere. Maybe Whole Foods?

I never actually went to this bakery, but their breads are DELICIOUS! =) My bf parents always buy their breads and it’s been consistent ever since. You see their RUSSIAN, so you know they gotta have their breads with their meals! What’s even better, the bakery is local!!!

I have not had a chance to go to the actual bakery, but their breads are delicious. I bought some klosterbread today which is a dark rye and it is really good. It is even made in accordance with the California Organic Foods Act.
