All I can say is all around great guy! He’s so friendly! He takes the time to search inventory everyday for what I was looking for! Pilot 2016 EX L white with tan interior, only 8 in CA and I was told earliest would be the end of March. I know sighhhhhh. With Roberts devotion to getting me my car I was able to purchase it last night and pick it up today! ²⁄₁₉!!! That’s much sooner than end of March!!! I came here to buy 2 second hand vehicles and ended taking one home but this one is the best buying deal experience so far. If you gave them the options you are asking for, they will try to work out the best deal possible for the vehicle you are buying. I spent almost 4 hrs negotiating the best deal and options. Just make sure you do your homework first before visiting the dealers that way you’ll checkout with your car faster and less stress.

I am super happy with Ocean Honda. I brought my car in for service again and couldn’t be more pleased with not just my service advisor but their customer care in general.
They have a café where they serve breakfast and lunch. They have donuts and a bowl of fresh fruit. They also have a fridge stocked with yogurt and bottled water and will make you a sandwich if requested. As I was leaving, a barbecue lunch was starting.
I’ve been to several Honda dealerships for service (Norm Reeves Irvine, Huntington Beach and Cerritos) and Ocean Honda has been the best.

After purchasing a car, I received a barrage of emails asking for my candid feedback from the various managers of the departments. I had a complaint about the Rockledge security system, and stated this in response to all of these emails. Not one of these emails had seen a response from Ocean Honda. This just shows that no one there is actually concerned with customer service past the moment you leave the lot and they have your money. Can’t recommend a dealership where this is the attitude of the management all the way up to the GM. One star added for Nora who was pleasant and approachable as a salesperson.

I never believed the tale of the friendly Honda people. It seemed too good to be true that a multi-​million dollar company could produce home-​town customer service. But it’s true!
I was on my way to LA from San Diego, when my car suddenly lost power and started shaking. I existed the freeway in a slight panic. After all, it was 5pm on a holiday weekend and I had work the next day. Where was I going to find someone to even look at my car at this hour? Luckily, I asked a local car restorer where I could take my ailing vehicle and he suggested Ocean Honda.
I arrived a little before 7pm. Frazzled and cranky, I walked into the lobby and demanded that someone take care of this situation. The mechanic had gone home for the day, but they could set me up with a free courtesy vehicle so I could go about my week as planned.
The best part of this experience was not the fact that it was covered by Honda, but the customer care. Even in my frantic mode, I was treated like a likable human being and was offered anything and everything I might need — coffee, water, a phone charge. The next day, after my car had been diagnosed and the labor time assessed, the rep gave me a call to let me know the details. He even texted me all the prices for additional services I might consider. Super easy to communicate with!
I was so pleasantly surprised that I had to write this review. If I ever find myself in a similar pickle south of LA, I’ll definitely be heading back to Ocean Honda. Thanks, guys!

After visiting several dealerships over the weekend I was totally dismayed by the number of salesmen who really knew nothing about the cars they were trying to sell. That was until I walked into Ocean Honda in the afternoon and met George. He knew every square inch of the Accord that I was interested in purchasing. He was a pleasure to deal with as was the owner, Mr. Cappo. We did not have to haggle back and forth, the process was simple. Financing was a breeze and I drove off in my brand new car. I strongly recommend Ocean Honda, especially George.

In a region full of Honda dealers displaying really sleazy business practices, Ocean Honda stands out for their excellent customer service. They met or exceeded our expectations at every possible opportunity. New salesperson Dave was excellent — courteous, conscientious, and most importantly honest. GM Tony and Internet manager Randall were excellent. The facility is spotless. The pricing was fair and negotiations were efficient. We experienced none of the BS we’ve encountered at Honda dealers in San Diego or coastal North County.
We will return.

Christian Dilauro is an awesome Service Advisor! He is very knowledgable and negotiated with American Honda very quickly and effectively on my behalf to get my service covered under «goodwill» warranty even if technically, my mileage was beyond the limit. In such situations, my previous experiences with other service advisors and dealerships involved numerous phone calls and runarounds. Thanks to Gil, the tech who did a great fast repair on my Civic and was very helpful on a followup visit. I’ll do business with these guys again!

Honda recently issued an extended warranty for 2008 Accords for excessive oil consumption. I took mine to Ocean Honda and they didn’t know what to do. I had to help them figure out how to do a correct oil consumption test. Had to go back several times since they lost my paperwork in between oil level inspections. When the test was completed they didn’t know what the next step would be. To this day I’m waiting for the follow up call. I called after a week and they didn’t know who I was or what I was talking about. I took my car to Norm Reeves and that was about the same disappointment. I took my car to Rancho Santa Margarita Honda and the manager there, Brice knew exactly what to do and the process. I was very impressed by his knowledge of the problem and the V-​tec system. The Accord is now being repaired.
Take you vehicle to RSM Honda They are very professional.

We were told they were competitive with Costco pricing. Went in and and could not get pricing out of their sales staff just scribbles on paper way above Costco pricing. I will say it’s not sales staff as its management calling the shots. We gave two options on car color they were not able to locate vehicle nor put one on order. We were even open to paying a bit more since its much closer to our home than Costco Dealership. But not 2−3k more over Costco. Sales mgr said they’re no 1 in Orange County and I find that hard to believe. I’m posting this for people to check out Costco 1^st before going here.

I leased my new accord from ocean Honda, it’s my second vehicle I’ve purchased from ocean, they were fair to me the first time I had credit problems, but they worked with me and put me in a nice civic.
I always wanted an accord, so I came back to ocean and they worked with me again and gave me a great deal on a new accord
I couldn’t refuse so here I am with a great car from ocean Honda thanks to their help and enthusiasm.

Horrible experience with the sales consultant, do not remember his name. I asked him on the price of 2 different model of CRV, that stupid salesman replied was. unless you wanna buy 2 cars ! WTF ! Will take my business to other dealers.

Stopped here because my EV need a charge and they were very kind enough to move their car for me to charge.
Everyone there was really nice and was able to test drive the new HR-​V, very nice car.
Will return to get a car from here when I’m ready to add another car to the family.

Had to recently take my car in for a warranty related issue. I was referred to Christian in the service department by my mechanic, Corner 3 Garage. Christian was extremely helpful, answered my questions, and they fixed my car that same day. I was pleased to have such a pleasant experience from a dealership as in the past I have not with other local Honda dealerships.

We stopped here late on Saturday to test drive the HR-​V and CRV.
I was helping a great woman shop for new car.
The salesman assigned to us was excellent – he was young, but highly educated, and probably one of the best personalities that I have encountered in the car sale business.
We test drove the 2 vehicles but did not proceed with any negotiation because we are still considering other similar vehicles from other manufactures.
The only thing that concerned me was that the CRV had unnecessary Adds-​On totaling over 2.5K. This would probably have been an impediment to finalizing a deal. I understand that Honda is really squeezing their dealers on new car profits the past couple of years but it still does not make the add-​ons more acceptable.
Without sounding like an advertisement, I can tell readers here that I have been involved in analyzing car and trucks for over 30 years and Honda’s FIT, HR-​V, and CRV are some of the best values in the car world today.
Honda’s CRV Touring Addition AWD SUV fully loaded with nothing left out comes in at approximately 35K. To achieve the same quality and options on a Mercedes Benz similar SUV, you would need 52K. The HR-​V fully loaded comes in at 26K. On a Mercedes-​Benz similar unit you would need 44K. The FIT is an excellent car fully loaded is 22K. A comparable Mini from BMW would set you back 36K. And on all the German cars you would lose Honda’s long term reliability and be subject to significant repair costs after 50K miles.
Sound financial management dictates purchasing (not leasing) a Honda along with their HondaCare (never any other extended warranty) 125K mile, 8-​Year warranty and considering a trade-​in when the vehicle reaches 120K miles or just keeping it until the transmission blows and buying another car then. You will have many years of no car payments to sock away $$ for your next car.
Poor financial management is leasing any car, especially a Mercedes or BMW every 3 years. You will never have any extra money, but you will impress your friends that are stuck driving a Honda.

Absolutely STAY AWAY from this place and the CREEPS who manage it, especially PATRICK PETERS, their GM. They will NEVER take your car back despite whatever issue is wrong.
They ONLY CARE ABOUT COMMISSION and have NO CARE for SAFETY or CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. They are WITHOUT COMPASSION. I brought my car back 24 hours after leasing it, due to the compression on my neck and spine caused by a terribly designed seat and protruding headrest, which was causing me WHIPLASH-​like pain and symptoms. All of their cars have the same OVERLY TITLTED HEADRESTS.
Patrick PETERS told me I could NOT return it, despite my pain, and the next afternoon THEY TOWED THE RETURNED VEHICLE TO A PUBLIC STREET OUTSIDE MY CONDO COMPLEX AND DUMPED IT!!!
I spoke with several other dealerships and they all say that this was OUTRAGEOUS on the part of OCEAN HONDA SJC and PATRICK PETERS. They said that this was a typical «unwind» that dealers are very familiar with and their actions are those of a THUG !
Go to Irvine Honda or any other place but this one!
I am now stuck hiring an Attorney, insuring a car I cannot use, I’ve lost time from my job, and I am left with my spine out of alignment, all for going to OCEAN HONDA SJC.
BEWARE!!!

I’ve purchased two vehicles at this dealership. On the second car I was convinced into buying CarDoc which covers oil changes, car washes, and other minor services.
Unfortunately, the dealership scratched my window while removing sticker residue during a car detail. Instead of apologizing and taking responsibility manager Mark Monell was very rude and denied everything. He says that it’s impossible for them to scratch my car and that either I never noticed the marks or that I made the scratches myself. I didn’t expect his accusatory and disrespectful way of speaking to me. The issue was never resolved because he refused to take responsibility. An apology would have made me feel better but it seems like he wanted to fight with me instead.
After being berated by the manager Mark I left my car for its oil change feeling defeated. 20 minutes later he calls me saying I need new brakes and it’s not covered by CarDoc. Fine, I said that I’ll take it somewhere else. He calls back and then says that it is covered but I have to pay $ 120 for turning the Roters. Fine, I’ll pay!
When I pick up my car I notice it’s feeling strange as I’m driving home. The dashboard says that the oil life is at 30%…surely this must be a glitch. I park, pop the hood, and check the oil to find that it’s completely dry. They drained my oil and never replaced it!!!
The headache never ends!!!

‘Made a much needed SoCal Road Trip a few weeks ago and I’d have to say, «It hit the spot!» I think if I make a trip every 3 – 4 months, I’ll be good. However, every six months @ the very least.
Just before driving down south, my TPMS light came on. (No, I do not have the high-​end TPMS that tells you exactly which tire is acting up, remaining tread, or if there’s chewing gum stuck to the tire. have the «budget setup.») I had some time Monday morning to take the Element in.
I really like the team here @ Ocean Honda of San Juan Capistrano and since relocating north to the SF Bay Area, it’s just one more thing I miss about Southern California.
I pulled up, briefly waited & was approached my one of the service technicians. I asked if Hector, the Service Director was in. The tech walked me inside & introduced to Brad A, the new director.

I was told that Hector was no longer with Ocean Honda, he left about 2 months ago… ‘Bummer. Hector M. was a great guy, professional, helpful, with a good sense of humor! He will be missed.
I briefly spoke with Brad about the TPMS light that was on. Brad added that there was a recall on the driver’s side airbag which I had completely forgotten about. (I had received a recall notice in the mail just a week prior.) Thanks Brad, for looking out!
As he was writing up the order, I asked Brad if he could take a look @ my driver & passenger side doors for a few «dings & dents.» Don’t ask… (Sigh) ‘And moving on.
Brad said that he would give me a call once his main body tech got it.
I was waiting for their shuttle driver to take me back as I pulled up a seat to the «OCEAN Café» counter. Ocean Honda of SJC offers free breakfast and lunch to its clientele. It’s an awesome amenity! However, it can be too much of a good thing when customers camp out all day… ‘Reminds me of people who hover around for free COSTCO samples. It’s not an AYCE buffet, go home. The shuttle service is also complimentary as well. (Sigh) Did I mention how much I like this place? I’ve never ordered a sandwich, my usual cup of coffee and maybe a pastry does just fine. Today’s lunch special was lasagna! That’s so cool! However, when I sat down the lasagna was all gone but like I I said, give me a Styrofoam cup of coffee and a donut, I’m great. 8) Just the fact that Ocean Honda was offering lasagna to the customers is HUGE! (Tips hat) ‘Very nice.

As I chatted with Diane who was running the café, I received a text from a friend who was going to be in the area. So, I canceled the shuttle request… ‘Perfect! We’re having breakfast @ Dana Point!
Two hours after I arrived back, I received a call from Brad. He discussed with me the TPMS Sensor, which needed replacing along with the information regarding my car doors. The driver and passenger side doors would take three days to repair, noted. Well, looks like I’ll have to plan another SoCal Road Trip (SCRT), in the relative near future. Some may ask, «Why come all the way to Ocean Honda to have body work done?» I had «body bumpers» put on the Element when I first purchased the vehicle from here. The bumpers didn’t come in Pearl Black and had to be painted to match the car. I figured if I’m going to have any work done that may involve the possibility of repainting anything, up to and including the body bumpers, I’d prefer to have it completed from where the original work was done. (Yes, I’m kind’ve a sticker like that.) Brad told me the the shuttle driver will call me when he’s on his way once the Element was completed.
Four hours later — «Hi, is this DJ… This is Miguel from Ocean Honda, I should be there in about 15 minutes.» (‘And he was.) Like Eddie, the other shuttle driver — Miguel was friendly, personable, and had a good sense of humor as well.

Note: Please tip your shuttle drivers. Yes, it’s complimentary and is offered by the dealership BUT think about how much you’d have to pay a taxi? Five bucks is nothing… Well, not unless you’re one of those cheap bastards that go to COSTCO for your buffet lunches? Then we understand, you simply suck.
Went in to pay for the «damage» and saw a couple of familiar faces!
