Way to Grow!

My daughter went to Way to Grow from 3 months– 2 years old, to say that Rashauna is like family would be an understatement, Rashauna is our family. The care and dedication she has to all the children she cares for is unparalleled; Rashauna genuinely loves all the children that she welcomes into her home. I was always at ease knowing that Rashauna and Gabbie were caring for my daughter, for a first time Mom that takes a lot. Every time I picked up my daughter at the end of the day there was always laughter and the kids were all happy and having an amazing time.
The care that is put into their every day routine is amazing; Rashauna treats every family of the kids she cares for as her own. They constantly have «Parent Nights Outs» which is so great for a date night, they also do a lot of family events where the kids can see each other outside of daycare and the parents can also meet each other. I can’t tell you how many times she has helped me and my family out and gone above and beyond for us; we will always cherish and love Rashauna and Gabbie for the immense care the took with our daughter.
Now that our daughter is in pre-​school Rashauna still checks in with us to see how she’s doing and our daughter loves to go and visit Way to Grow whenever we can. Even our son who didn’t attend Way to Grow constantly asks to go visit Miss Rashauna and chose to spend his spring break there rather go to a sports camp; that’s saying something :-)
I would recommend Way to Grow to any family that is looking for high quality daycare and I have recommended to anyone I know who is having a child. The care and quality that Way to Grow offers just can’t compare not only with any other home daycare but any institute daycare.
We miss Way to Grow and Rashauna daily and I’m so thankful she remains in our live, she is absolutely heaven sent.

This review is long overdue; we have been taking our almost 2-​year-​old daughter Siena to Way to Grow Day Care since she was 6 months old. We credit WTG with so much of Siena’s development, she loves to play with other children, loves to read, her vocabulary is extraordinary and she is able to communicate her wants and needs fairly well for a 22 month old.
We chose WTG because of its comfortable home based environment, when we drop her off it’s like she is going to friends’ house to play. The house is so well laid out, ample space inside for those rainy days when they are stuck inside. But weather permit they are outside exploring and learning. The yard is set up with a sandpit, small climb & slide, and plenty of toys. Inside and outside the little ones are encouraged to play with one another, share toys and when disagreements arise they are taught to talk about their feelings and how they can solve it.
Siena always has a smile when we are going to WTG, she begins to recite all her little friend’s names including Ms. Rashauna and Ms. Gabby. Her first call of business when she arrives in the morning is to sit on her chair and ask for breakfast. WTG always has something healthy for them to eat, they are given homemade food for breakfast, lunch and plenty of snacks in between. Siena is a picky eater but seeing the others try different foods she is motivated to try them as well.
WTG has been a great place for Siena and it has also been a great help to us as new parents. Rashauna is a wealth of information on what to expect with teething, sleeping patterns, pacifiers etc. For example, we recently took the pacifier away from Siena, we dreaded this for weeks; Rashauna gave us tips on what to do and also removed the pacifier at daycare, we were all on the same page making the process less traumatic for us, oh and Siena!
We are grateful to have found Way to Grow day care and grateful to Rashauna and Gabby for their sincere love and care of our daughter Siena!

I really cannot say enough good things about this warm and nurturing in-​home daycare. Our two year old son attended Way To Grow for three mornings a week for six months, starting when he was 18 months. Rashauna runs the small daycare from her comfortable and clean home and it truly has a loving and homely atmosphere. You can tell that she adores the children whom she cares for — our son was always happy to see her and Gabby, her helper, and greeted them with big smiles and hugs.
One of the things that I loved most about it was the Montessori-​style approach — the children can explore everything in the home and outdoor areas and are encouraged to have fun with crafts and messy play. Our son would usually come home messy but happy and ready for nap time.
Another thing I loved was that Rashauna would always prepare healthy home-​cooked meals for the children, and our son has become a much more adventurous eater because of it. Rashauna would always write little notes telling me what activities he’d done and what he’d eaten, which was super helpful and fun to know what he was up to each day.
And because our son was spending his days with children ranging from a few months to four years old, he has become such a sociable and loving little boy. His language has improved amazingly fast and when he left Way To Grow he was talking in three– and four-​word sentences. I’m certain this is because of the one-​on-​one attention he received from Rashauna and Gabby.
We were so sad to leave but we wanted our youngest to attend the same preschool as our eldest son and a spot eventually became available, which makes one drop-​off and pick-​up so much easier. Had it not been for that, we would definitely have kept our son with Rashauna right up until kindergarten. I am missing him being there so much, and I’m sure he is missing it too.
It’s so hard to find a daycare in the Bay Area that offers this high quality care for a very reasonable cost, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Way To Grow to anyone looking for a warm, loving, safe place to take their little ones.

My husband and I found out about Way to Grow Daycare after looking at a few other places, one of which was highly rated but had no openings and suggested this one instead (so we felt like the recommendation came from a good source). We really wanted an in-​home private daycare for our six-​month-​old daughter and were starting to lose hope given the poor quality and low standards of some of the private daycares we had seen out there.
We really started to consider one of the more organized centers around but then we found this place and we couldn’t be happier! Our first visit was very comfortable and we were able to meet Rashauna’s husband and kids, which added to the comfort factor. The house is located on a quiet cul-​de-​sac and, in the three months we’ve been taking our daughter there, has always been very clean and well-​kept. There is lots of room inside and out for kids to move around and an extra play room off of the living room inside that’s full of toys and crafts for kids of all ages.
Rashauna is super sweet, accommodating, and friendly, and the baby absolutely loves being there. Every morning when I drop her off, she gets the biggest grin on her face when Rashauna opens the door and she’s always in a happy mood when I pick her up. Since the baby is only nine-​months-​old and only there in the mornings (and most of the time the only baby there), it’s hard to comment on any wide range of play or learning activities going on, but it’s clear that she is well cared for and loving her time there. I can say that when I pick her up, I usually find Rashauna on the floor with her reading a book, or practicing some new skill like clapping, or coming back from an occasional walk to the park.
My husband and I feel very lucky to have found a place where we know our baby is in trusted, capable, and loving hands every day.
