Viet-Hong D Bui

I don’t hand out stellar reviews very often, but it would be a shame to not give Dr. Viet Hong Bui the credit she deserves!
Dr. Viet Hong Bui has been my primary care doctor for a few years now and she is hands down the BEST doctor that I’ve had. She takes the time to listen and makes the effort to explain things in a way that you will understand. This apparently seems to appeal to a lot of her patients as I always see a mix of old and young patients whenever I come in.
Last but not least, can’t forget to give kudos to the wonderful office staff! They always greet you with a friendly smile and are a pleasure to work with.

I really like Dr. Bui, she is very caring for her patients and super friendly & very easy to talk to. I never feel rushy when I see Dr. Bui compared to other doctors that I have seen over the years. Dr. Bui’s staffs are also very professional & always call the day before to remind your appointment.
I highly recommend Dr. Bui.

I’ve never had a doctor actually care about me like she does. She takes into considerations all the things that are going on in my life and with my body before she prescribes me any medicine. She’s always able to squeeze me in when I’m sick and she and her staff is super friendly. I’m always happy to go to the doctor now. :)
I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a new doctor.

Oh, I love Dr. Bui! I wish I was still her patient, but unfortunately, I have Kaiser now. I was her patient for a number of years, from high school through college, even though I went to school up in Davis. After we changed insurances though, I had no choice but to find another doctor :(
Dr. Bui got to know me and made me feel comfortable during our visits. She always took the time to explain things to me – and believe me, I had tons of questions. She always gave me advice that was probably beyond the scope of her work. I thought of her as my older sister!

About two months ago I was sick like a dog. I needed to find a doctor’s office close to where I live. I found Dr. Bui’s office on Unilocal and thought I’d give it a try. All I have to say is she is such a nice doctor and made you feel very comfortable. She is easy to talk to and knows what she is doing. I had a really good first experience and have been coming back to her ever since. Dr. Bui is the best!

i came down with pink eye and took the day off. I called up and there was an opening with the Physician Assistant. She was helpful, insightful, very patient, and diagnosed me. Highly recommended.
The wait probably was a while, My appointment was 11:30 and I saw the PA around 12:10. It was my first time there and I spent most of the time filling in paperwork. I had the day off, so iI didn’t feel rushed. Everyone was friendly.

Dr. Bui you are the best! Was recommended by my sister who no longer lives in California. I can actually say that I enjoy going to the doctors. Weird huh? Staff is great, receptionist and nurses are very friendly. Dr. Bui makes you feel so comfortable when you’re with her, I feel like I can talk to her about anything. She will take the time to listen to what you have to say and will give you real, honest answers.
I usually come into the office 15 minutes before my appointment and either see her on my scheduled time or a few minutes before or after, depending how busy it is.

As much as I don’t want more patients splitting Dr. Bui’s time :), it is just not doing her justice without giving her a raving review on Unilocal as Dr. Bui is probably the best doctor I have ever had. We all want to believe that all doctors naturally care about their patients and look at them like human beings but, sadly, that is rarely the case. Dr. Bui is NOT one of those doctors who’d walk into the room with her prescription pad in hand and just anxiously wait for you to drop that one key word so she knows what to write down. There is probably an app out there that can do just that, if not better. Dr. Bui is the doctor who called me on a Monday (her day off to catch up on paperwork) to discuss my lab result. She is also the doctor who called me on a Friday night at 7 PM (after her work hours) to let me know of a negative xray result so I can have peace of mind for my vacation. She talks to you like a friend and does not herd her patients out when your 15 minute appointment is up. I read a few reviews on people complaining about long wait time, I don’t recall waiting for very long except maybe once, but her personal attention more than make up for any wait time.

Does the secretary in the front not know how to schedule appointments?! I saw the schedule and everyone had to wait over an hour of their scheduled times today. Don’t tell me you have one available spot left be because this is clearly not do-​able. Learn how to time manage front desk! You guys are doing a very poor job! You are lucky the doctor knows her stuff because you guys, on the other hand, don’t!

I don’t like this office at all. They make me wait more than an hour and half to see my doctor. When I asked the reception can i reschedule my appt, she kept telling me to wait a lil more and her 5 mins waiting time is equal 30+ mins. If anyone want to spend more than 2 hours waiting for the Dr. then this is the place. And the reception never let me know what is my co-​payment at the time I visit. After 3+ months later, she send me statement and what i need to paid. This office is Ridiculous.

I used to have Kaiser & since I changed insurance I had to look for a new doctor. I was used to having everything in one location & just knowing that I had to change doctors and look for someone new was extremely hard because I have a history of medical problems & I knew finding a good doctor was going to be difficult. I’m a Unilocaler lol & I know it sounds kinda weird but I knew my only resource was to Unilocal a doctor around my area.
Thank God I found her!!! I was really nervous for my first appointment but she made me feel sooo comfortable. She pays a lot of attention to my needs & she is always giving me great feedback. Other doctors assume you are wrong or that you are confused but she asks questions and does whatever she can to help you out.
I really recommend her & her staff, they are great beautiful people and I am blessed that I have them in my life to help me with my ups & downs :)

My family and I have been going to Dr. Bui (and her predecessor, Dr. Mehlert) since before I was born.
She’s great, to the point and won’t jerk you around on what’s up and what you need to do. She cares about her patients and honestly, even when we were living in Hollister my family made it a point to drive all the way to san jose for our check ups.

She is the best doctor that I’ve known… She took care all of my family member: my hubby, my 2 sons, and myself. She is great, gentle, caring… I think words cannot describe how great she is…
My son often got high fever in the middle of the night, and I have to called Dr Bui and left messege. She called me back within an hour and told me what I need to do to reduce my son’s fever: what kind of medicine, how much he needed, and how to take care of him. She is always there for me when I am in need. Not a complaining eventhough I called her at 2AM in the morning.
Dr. Bui: you are the best, and we are greatful to have you as our doctor. Thank you for everything.

Visiting her feeling like visiting a teacher & a friend! I used to hate the thought of «sched. an appt w/​doctor to get check-​up or blood test…» I mean… how dreadful, right? and doctor offices often smell funny to me, very low spirit, a place you have to wait around, be quiet, & everyone looks so serious and just not happy…
Of course, how many ppl actually feel HAPPY to see THE DOCTOR anyway? Well, I think I’m always happy to see Dr. Hong. She always has a big smile when she enters the room… such warm personality.
What I LOVE the most about her:
— a true CARING HEART — which is what we want to feel about our doctor, thorough & honest.
— she educates her patients (listens, give advices, and explains thoroughly why) and not judgmental; and not giving into the «superstitious» things (like being a vegetarian = not healthy), and she’ll tell you why…
— she practices sanitary rules w/​needles & more…
— her office is clean & doesn’t have that «sick smell» I’m usually afraid of, though it’s quite small in the waiting area
— the nurses/​helpers she has working w/​her are all very nice and helpful.
Thanks chi Hong for everything! I’m so glad I have you as my doctor! And, I don’t mind the wait since once I get to see you, you always treat me w/​such kindness & never rush me out :)

Dr. Bui is FABULOUS! i think she’s one of the best doctor’s out there! she REALLY cares for her patients and she is very down to earth. She’s thorough and she makes sure you feel comfortable. She’s very nice. When my mom and I got cut off from Medi-​cal, she still saw us and charged us lower fees. My mom loves her and so do I!
if you want a doctor that really cares about your health and well being… go to her. If you also want a doctor that LOVES what she does and makes you feel like family. definitely go to her. she’s awesome.

Dr. Bui is AWESOME!
I stumbled upon her while looking for a new PCP. I made an appointment to see the doctor running the clinic at the time. Dr. Bui took over the practice and her patients.
Right off the bat after meeting Dr. Bui I felt comfortable. She’s young, friendly and personable. She hooks up the samples for medicine and whatnot. She does everything at her office… blood work, pap smears, shots for birth control etc. I don’t know of anything she doesn’t do.
If you’re looking for a great doctor who cares and wants to help — check Dr. Bui out!
I got my husband and mom going to her along with other family members. They all like her and has referred her to other people.
