United Van Lines Agent-Chipman Moving & Storage

Worse moving experience by far. they hardly do the work themselves, in our case they contracted the move to S&M Moving system (another shitty mover) well, our stuff were suppose to get here anywhere between June 5^th till June 14^th but no show, today is June 24^th ten days into late shipment and still no show, they are bunch of liers and should never been in the business in the first place. Please don’t waste your time, money and health by hiring them. they are the WORST moving company EVER!

I had a great experience with Chipman. Lew Crawer gave me a fair price and Paul and Marco packed and moved everything… NOTHING was damaged or broken in the move. They are really professional and very nice to work with. I would recommend this company. Thanks Lew, Paul and Marco.

After using United for several cross-​country moves, I only contacted Chipman’s for quote for another move. Turns out I couldn’t move past the estimate stage: TWICE I stayed home for an in-​house estimate and both times I got a call from the office to cancel LESS THAN 15 MINUTES before the scheuled time. As much as I’d love United, I can’t imagine trying to depend on an actual move with this company… sorry, United, you’ve lost me.

SCAM! Be careful with this company! User be warned!
This company quoted me for $ 360 for the move on the phone. When the workers arrived, they claimed that packing is needed because it was required by law (including cheap mattress and cheap bed frame.) And of course each packaging material required for the move charging 500% mark up ($ 20 a box, $ 7 a roll of tape… etc) They also conveniently forget to mention about upstairs cost even though I told them it was moving into an apartment and I told them it was 2^nd floor. So the cost shot up to $ 1k after they loaded everything into their truck. I have no choice other than paying them in other to get my things back.
I have called customer support many times. Each time I called, they said their supervisor was not present. They never return calls even though they said they would. Customers support was rude, and even put me on hold during middle of our conversation for 20minutes and still without answer. No, these customer service people were not helpful at all.
There are plenty of other good moving company out there. Do not use this one!
