I’m with Pedro J. whose review I read before going in and it helped. Expect employees to grunt at you BUT it is way cheaper and they had a sink size in stock that I would have had to order from other places. Are the CSRs at Bedrosians way more helpful? YES but their prices reflect that.

Yah cheap prices is obviously very good with this place no doubt but when you have a sales person who can’t get your order right or even load the right order in your car properly then cheap prices don’t mean anything. Especially when you have to go go back repeatedly to return the wrong item to finally get the right item

I just don’t understand why so many complaints here — I go to this store for just one reason — cheap price. You end up saving thousands over other stores with «good customer service».
I think the people complaining here have no common sense — expecting quality service for cheap price. I have been shopping here for 3 years, when I renovated kitchens in both my houses and yes, they treat customers rudely, but for the low price I don’t care. When I go to Walmart, I expect cheap prices — and do not expect a friendly sales person coming up to me to see if I am finding everything ok. It’s the same at Uni. You go for the cheap price.
If you are someone who needs to be treated nicely by a friendly salesperson, don’t go there. Instead, make more money and be prepared to pay higher prices elsewhere.
But if you cannot afford to have that kind of high level service, accept your economic level just buy some cheap stuff there.

I would only recommend going to this place as an absolute LAST RESORT, when you can’t find what you need anywhere else. The logistics of ordering, paying, and pickup is awful with huge wait times. Their selection is quite good, but the quality of materials is poor. For example: I needed a 9 foot piece of crema marfil backsplash for a bathroom remodel. Every piece had one or more cracks in them. Since this was my last resort location, I still grabbed it, but they didn’t even lower the price. Lame.

My experience with Unimarble and Granite has been WONDERFUL!!! From the beginning with the help of Angela my designer and the installers name Young and another gentleman never got the name has been a great experience. Despite the language barrier… no problem because I was able to communicate with my designer for any issues of translation or communication. I don’t understand some of the negative reviews here that seem to give them less credit for there worth. These guys know what there doing. Also careful with my cabinets and granite. I will be continuing other work with them in the future if need be and highly recommend them to anyone. Again despite any language barrier of installers or such they exhibit there skill which I am pleased to see the outcome of my kitchen. The cost seem reasonable too. Go to Unimarble and Granite and check it out for yourself. Be PATIENT and PREPARED with your floor plan project to get things rolling if you are seriously interested. This place is busy and couldn’t blame them, definitely expert in there field. Again be patient because you would want the same undivided attention when it comes to your project. Good luck with your search!

4 stars strictly for price & selection but customer service is definitely not their strong suit. Avoid Saturdays at all costs and plan for a week day visit so you can park easily and get some assistance. I had my own contractor install our white carrara marble countertops from Unimarble.

I think the DMV has better customer service than this place. If you want help, dont even bother asking, they are rude and inpatient. Came here looking at counters and asked for help, but the customer service reps instead decided to talk shit in their own language. If you hate your job, then quit. I would go here to just see what they have, but if you are going to make a purchase you are better off going somewhere else.

Not going to lie the reviews discourage me however it helped me know what I was getting into. I was told to go inside pick what you want, pay and leave unless you want a bad customer experience from one of the employees there. It turned out to be the complete opposite. I spoke with one of the salesman named Daniel and not only did he show me around but he was patient and ensured I selected the best granite counter top to match my cabinets and floor. He was kind and again very patient. Don’t judge the book by the cover :)

But the service are real bad.
They do not respect the time of the customers. The return of exchange is for ever since they have only one person for return and 1to do all paper work.

Great selection of all kinds of stone. But extremely rude staff especially the workers/​manager working in the loading area. I haven’t see such bad customer service anywhere. I came here because I was in a hurry and they had the counter-​top I wanted in stock. If I could wait for another 3 – 4 business days, I would never come here and order from somewhere else.

Beware when they said you can return unused items because they don’t tell you about the 15% restocking fee. Slow service.

I am a general contractor and today I had my first encounter with the «Uni-​Monster»! Scareeeeeeey!
I went to pick up a single 8′ pre-​fab granite counter and backsplash that a client had purchased for me to install. I checked in at the front desk, followed directions to the loading dock, handed them my clients receipt of purchase and waited my turn. So far so good.
After approximately 20 – 25 minutes the slab is brought out. It is immediately clear that this is not high quality stone. The underside has been mesh reinforced, the seam on the front edge is glaringly obvious and can be felt with my fingernail, the polished surface is mediocre at best and a repair is visually obvious on the return edge of the counter. I did not choose the stone. I’m only here for pick-​up, delivery, onsite fab and install. The worker bees help load both pieces into my truck. I have the requisite A-​Frame to secure the stone for transportation. The backsplash is also mesh backed for reinforcement. The backsplash piece is 120″ long by 4″ tall. The extra length allows you to get 8′ of rear splash and 23−¾″ of side splash with only one cut and no need for polishing the ends. So…120″ x 4″ of already weak, mesh backed stone breaks in the bed of my truck. I have not even finished putting my tools away. I show it to the «Dock Boss» and tell him I need another to replace it. He tells me I broke it and will have to buy another one.

Having just had an epiphany that they don’t give a rats ass about their customers I load the broken backsplash and prepare to leave. Realizing I have not been given a copy of the purchase order, I make said request to the «Dock Boss» who hands me a clipboard and requests that I sign stating I received everything in good condition.
See the 1, 2, 3 section above. My serenity is waning.
I tell him, and I quote, «I am not very happy. I think I’ll just sign it „Fuck You“».
Ok. Are you sitting down?
He laughs and says, «Maybe next time you should bring more help.»
I reply, «Next time I will go somewhere else», and I leave.
Listen please… businesses like this are a detriment to the very foundation of a civil society. They only survive if you continue to patronize them. Please don’t! I will never visit The «Uni-​Monster» again. I can’t. I have a conscience.
The days of quality and craftsmanship are few and far between.
Some of you may be wondering how I will deal with my client regarding the broken backsplash since I didn’t buy a replacement? Simple. If I can’t fabricate and polish the broken piece to my clients satisfaction I will reimburse them for the cost of the backsplash AND countertop and let them buy a replacement and have someone else do the install.

Note: do not buy mesh backed slabs! Let’s see. Some are meshed and some aren’t. Why do you think that is? Because it’s already an inferior product!

Great showroom, knowledgeable staff, and great prices. If you know what you want, this is a great place. Because they are so busy, if you need help/​have a lot of questions, go somewhere else.

My family and I have been coming here for years for do our kitchen remodels. Yeah it does lack in customer service but what do you really expect from a warehouse full of products at dirt cheap prices? It’s a haven for DIY’ers or those w/​a contractor to do the labor.
I think its pretty straight forward, you take a look around and see what you like, go back to the front & talk to a sales associate about what you’re interested in, give them the measurements and they’ll be able to design your kitchen accordingly.
I like this location better than Hayward because they have more cabinet finishes displayed as full kitchens to get a better idea versus having the cabinet doors mounted to show the variations they come in.
As far as the countertops go, some people need to understand that no two will perfectly match so there will be a variation between slabs. Uni has been good with allowing us to select slabs close in shade in the granite we’ve put into several of our properties.
We’ve opt’d to have our contractor to pickup the items which can be a hassle when they’re pulling all the items from your invoice but nothing you can really do to speed the process along. We always check all the cabinets before leaving the location to ensure there’s no damage and we get all the correct cabinets we’ve ordered; leaves no room for them to argue with you that things happened after you’ve taken delivery & signed the paperwork accepting it as it was.
If you’re on a budget to remodel your kitchen, definitely a place to check out. Like anything, plan accordingly and take the time to ensure what you’re getting is to your satisfaction before leaving to get it corrected immediately.

I am remodeling a kitchen and the contractor recommended the business. The kitchen cabinets were selected and the contractor sat down with a room designer. The following day I went to pay for the order. However, the person attending me noticed that the cabinets were not the right size when compared to my kitchen measurements.
The contractor showed up and spoke to the manager. The contractor insisted that he had provided the the proper measurements and the designer made mistakes on the cabinet size. I now need to pay additional money for the proper cabinets. Okay, no problem. However, the manager was a total b****h about the whole thing and blamed the contractor for not reviewing his order. When I stepped in, she told me that the design was a free service to the public and made it sound like I should be grateful. I told her that in no way was the design service free and in fact, the cost was factored into the cost of the cabinets. I received no argument there.
It also, turns out that the designer provided the contractor with erroneous pick-​up times telling him that the cabinets were available and could be picked up the following day. We found out that the cabinets required assembly and would not be available for pick-​up for 5 – 7 days. I told the manager that her business required customer service training.

I am sad to see all of the terrible reviews. I suppose some of the bad reviews are for flooring and cabinets — which I cannot comment on. We selected our Granite from Uni and our experience was pretty painless. I think the hardest thing was choosing which slabs we liked best! I don’t think people understand that unless you order a GINORMOUS slab of granite — you are going to have some misalignment issues for your seams. However, the guys were AWESOME — they brought their big crane over and after selecting our island piece, we went to select the others that were going to be as close as we could get. When I chose one piece the guy ran his hand all over it and said it had a crack, so I should look for a new piece unless I don’t mind where it was.
The granite selection for our color was a bit limited, we chose a really popular one, but luckily the pieces left were the ones we loved most in that pattern.
I found the whole process pretty painless — our granite guy picked them up today without incident?!

Yes, they do have lots of rocks ready for you.

There were 5 employees total at the front desk of that place. Everyone except the newest looking Indian lady was SO RUDE.
They don’t even look at you in the eye when they are talking to you. Especially that BIg BELLY hispanic guy (manager perhaps?) who seemed to have ’ I know what I am doing, so I am the shit’ sort of attitude. Goodness. :/​
I understand everyone at the time of my visit seemed very occupied with other work. Then Someone who can spare time to manage walk-​in customers has to be present, NO?

Please do not buy their shaker cabinets and the soft close-​door hinges. We only had them installed in the kitchen less than a year and half ago, two of the door hinges had already started getting loose from the cabinet frames, and some screws fell off. It looks like the wood which anchors some of the door hinges is too soft to take the stress of holding the hinges. We had contacted their costumer services more than 2 months ago and had been told that they would have someone check it out for us, but no real actions. They never return our calls either. Basically, they DO NOT CARE about either their product quality or customer service. If I can rate zero star, that is what they deserve!

OMG… The operations here are just horrible.
1. I needed a return for an order placed 24hra ago. My fiancé had to drive an hr down there so they can refund… Bc they won’t do so without a physical yellow slip. After he returned, I noticed they erroneously charged a 30% restocking fee since order was less than 24 hrs. In order for them to fix the 30%, they needed me drive down there again with yellow slip.
2. My Contractor went to pick up items upon due date. The hardwood floor padding was out of stock and he can’t pick it up. In order for me to get a refund, they needed me to pick up yellow slip from contractor. Drive down there with yellow slip to get a refund.
3. When items were ready, my contractor also had to wait three hours for pick up since they couldn’t find whatever slip they were supposed to find.
4. They gave me the wrong length on one of the cabinets and my contractor had to drive down again to get it exchanged.
5. After everything was installed, I noticed one of the cabinets was completely not the spice rack I ordered. I didn’t even bother to look at the slip to see if designer ordered it wrong or the warehouse guy pulled wrong one. Bottom line. It was wrong and I’m not going to spend money to dismemble, drive two hrs to exchange, and pay more to have someone put it together.
6. They never return your call. Anytime I needed to get a hold of the designer, Connie, I needed to call 5+ times.
I don’t recommend coming here for cabinets. You are better off going to East star. Their staff there really know their stuff… Much better than uni. Uni operates extremely inefficiently with many errors. They still operate like the 80’s
Of all the vendors I had to work with during remodel, uni was the most painful.

Waited FOREVER at pick up (probably 1.5 hours). Good prices, lousy service and waiting. The lady doing the «expediting» at pick just keeps shuffling paperwork. .making sure yours keeps being mixed up.
The picture says it all about their mentality: they parked their truck blocking the only way in and out. There was plenty of room to back it up just a few feet, but they just don’t think, apparently. .
Never coming back, even if the cabinets are damaged (third of the people at pick up were returning cabinets or tile.. good luck with that!)
