I contacted Swan Pools to put a pool and spa in my backyard. Debi answered the phone and was extremely pleasant and knowledgeable. She gave me a ballpark number based on what I told her I wanted. She set up an appointment for one of her designers to meet me at my home in order to discuss in more detail what I wanted as well as measure my backyard. Tony Schwee showed up early for the appointment, was very professional and gave me excellent suggestions of what I should put in my pool (Wet Edge pebble product is phenomenal!) He designed an awesome pool and spa and was able to get the permits very quickly. Then Sherry, the scheduler, took over the project with Adam. Sherry key the project on track! Everything went off without a hitch, which surprised me because I have been through construction before. There were no delays, no setbacks, everything was fantastic! Adam was there almost every day to inform me of what was going on and fix any issues that may arise. At the end of the day, I got a pool in my backyard in less than three months without any hidden costs that a lot of contractors will give you. The entire staff was professional and friendly and I plan on inviting them all over for my summer kickoff party! Thank you Swan Pools for making what should be a very stressful process into a fun project that I will enjoy for the next 30 years!

Wanted to get my pool refinished, Swan put the pool in originally. Tony Schwee came on a Sunday to look things over. Arrived on time. He left and said he would contact us in a couple of days with the quote. Nothing since and it has been over a week. I emailed and called and left a message. Still nothing. I guess they don’t want the business.

Built my pool with swim jets that were not properly installed. The jets were configured wrong resulting in me being unable to use it since it was installed. They have never owned up to it. Also equipment is all jammed together so makes cleaning and servicing a real pain. The warranty on the solar in only one year and then when you need them to come out for services costs $ 145 first 15 minutes! I will not be calling them for another pool that’s for sure. My husband and I were so excited at the idea of finally being able to put in a pool. We scheduled an appointment for Mike Blackburn to come out for our first appointment. My husband, who works graveyard, got up early to meet with him. Swan Pools was a no show and no call. My husband called them after waiting around for an hour to find out what happened. Debbie, who sent us a confirmation email about the appointment, apparently forgot to set up the appointment with Mike. We told Debbie how frustrated we were and that if Swan can’t even make the initial sales call, how were we supposed to think they would be competent about the whole project. It wasn’t a very good first impression. We told her we were leery of making a second appointment. Instead of reassuring us about the business, she said she was sorry we felt this way and hung up.

I reached out to them via their web contact form and received a call back within 5 minutes. I had described my problem in the form and in spite of the fact that they don’t perform those services, the company called me to suggest the best approach for our issue. They gave me a couple of contacts for companies that could help us and the agent was awesome — polite, knowledgeable and professional. If we ever need help in the future for pool projects, I know I will be calling them.

We are half way thru our pool installation. We met with Mike in Feb. After we talked for awhile he came back with the perfect design for our very small yard. He explained everything to us so there have been no surprises to date. We met Sherry in the show room to make our product selections. Sherry is fabulous and so very efficient. Great experience with her. Thru Swan we were introduced to Adam our project manager. Adam is also fabulous. He keeps in touch with us, he stops by the job site and is very qualified and experienced. Then we were lucky enough to meet Ron Taylor of Taylor Land and Stone, and Maggie. Now they really know what they are doing. They have met with us several times at different rock yards and have guided us thru the design of our backyard. All workers have been very thoughtful of our property and keep the mess to a minimum. We have nothing but praise for Swan Pools and all of the people that are involved in making our pool a reality.

Swan Pools built our pool about 5 years ago and I must say that I am a very pleased customer. From start to finish of the pool and in helping us with service issues in the years since then, Swan (especially Tony Schwee) has been very responsive and accommodating. The construction process was efficient and Swan handled all the details and kept us on schedule. They also alerted us in advance if any issues came up or if any of our decisions would result in increased fees. We have been extremely pleased with the resulting product — the pool is just as expected and we have tremendously enjoyed it. Even more impressive than the construction process has been Swan’s responsiveness to the few service issues that we have encountered since then. With a quick email to Tony, he has dispateched people to quickly address most any problem we experienced. There haven’t been that many (thankfully), but when they’ve cropped up, Tony is usually able to get the repair covered under the manufacturer’s warranty, and if that’s not possible, he has been able to quote the repair price which has generally been very reasonable. That kind of responsive service is hard to find and really provides solid peace of mind for pool ownership. A big thank you to Tony!

Building our pool was a big adventure!
We live in the mountains and knew by past experience not all pool builders are willing to take on the job (another pool company never came back with a quote even after repeated calls). We met with Mike and he designed a beautiful pool for us. However, after submitting the plans to the county we found out there was no final inspection on our home! We are not the original owners so this was news to us. Tony went to the county trying to help us resolve this matter. He spent hours of his time helping us, knowing all along we put the pool construction on hold. It took us nine months to pass that final home inspection, but we did it.
Finally, we decided to go for it and ok’d Swan to begin the construction. I would not be truthful if I were to tell you that it was bump free. However, and more importantly, every problem that occurred had been addressed and resolved. We are so happy with our pool!
If you are going to enter into any construction project, you know there will be problems, that is the way it goes. But, I think it is rare to find a company who goes above and beyond to resolve those problems and give you a spectacular product in the end.

I worked with Tami on a complete pool renovation. She was super helpful to me even though what I needed was not within the scope of the work they do – via email, she recommended some contractors to me who could do the work and she also helped me pick pool color, finish etc, even sending me some photos of pools they had done with the colors I was considering. She was very helpful and responsive even though she did not make a dime off me! If I ever need a new pool in the future she’d be the first person I’d call.

Okay, I have to deduct a star from my previous review because I called Swan pools almost three weeks ago to set up a design for our new pool at our new home site. Mike was going to contact the city of Menlo Park to find out how far we need to be from power lines and heritage trees but never got back to us even though I emailed him two times asking him for information. After weeks of waiting on Mike, I finally just called another pool company and got the information I needed right away. I’m still a fan of Swan Pools but I’m very disappointed that they totally blew off a loyal returning customer.

Choose another builder because these guys are the worst, First of all these pools are not cheap, over $ 100,000 cost for our pool. Once the pool was built I noticed right away that the waterfall was not descending even like it was suppose to. I called and asked if they can properly repair that correctly. Jeffrey arrived and just started sticking a saw blade in there and said it’s fixed right in front of me but it wasn’t, I told him it is not, and then he said it was not their fault and it was the pavers fault and that I should contact them,??? What!!! I paid Swan Pools over $ 100 Grand and they are telling me to call the pavers… Also the tile work was not impressive at all, looked like an amateur job. To this date they have given me the run around and have not fixed this problem. This company’s motto is, «Once we have our money from you, your on your own».

I just finished working with Swan Pools, and had a very pleasant experience. The work was completed quickly, and when we called them back because the «equipment wasn’t working properly», we realized that we weren’t following their original instructions. We could have just opened up the user manual and figured it out ourselves, but didn’t. They didn’t get frustrated for wasting their time. They were very polite and professional. They are knowledgeable, responsive, and very easy to work with.
