Our professional installation team makes the installation process almost transparent. We specialize in restringing and other common repairs on a wide array of window coverings — but our expertise doesn’t stop there. We are also able to do complete re-​builds, retrofit, cut-​downs and other more complex repairs that are left only to the most expert technician.

Established in 1949.

Smith Drapery started providing custom window treatment services to the design trade in 1949 as I.O. Smith and Son.

The company was built from fabricating cornice boxes in the household garage to operating three local fabricating shops in the Bay Area, focusing on quality product and client service.

This father and son combination provided the fast growing Peninsula area a full service window covering company with an eye for detail and hands-​on service from start to finish of a project.

The business was passed down from grandfather to father to son. Steve has now been operating the drapery company on his own for over 25 years. This year Steve’s son, Spencer, has joined the team with the intention of keeping the family business continuing into a 4^th generation!
