Description

Specialties

Located on Santana Row, Sino offers a menu that includes the tradition of Dim Sum & the wonders of Modern Chinese Cuisine.

Sino, the second endeavor of culinary artist Chris Yeo, was envisioned to entice the palette. Grand in scale, Sino offers an intimacy & sensuality that is unparalleled– from the warmth of the dining room adorned with billowing crimson curtains & layers of gossamer, to the plush & luxurious appointments of the lounge where comfort & beauty beckon you to stay a while.

Our menu explores a unique fare of «New Experience» Chinese Cuisine, a combination of modern presentation & traditional Cantonese style food. By day, an array of delicate Dim Sum is offered, with traditional buns & innovative dumplings. By night, the menu showcases elevated interpretations of classic Chinese dishes including some of our must try’s like the Mishima Ranch kobe Tartar or the Kung Pao Chicken «Lollipops,» & our most popular Char Siu Sea Bass with Chinese Ratatouille. We encourage you to order dishes to share, family style.

Opulent splendor awaits you as you make your way into Sino. A modern Chinese restaurant, Sino serves a myriad a Cantonese fare laced with Yeo’s signature fusion creations. Feast on culinary masterpieces such as Kungpao Chicken Lollipops to Kobe Beef Sliders, stop by the bar for an array of seductive, specialty cocktails that will surely tantalize your discerning palate. A visit to Sino will set you off on a gastronomical journey beyond your imagination.

History

Established in 2005.

Chris was born in Hong Kong & grew up in Singapore. In 1987 he opened STRAITS, introducing Singaporean Cuisine to the sophisticated diner of San Francisco. Named for the Singapore Strait that separates Singapore from Indonesia, «The Strait of Malacca,» STRAITS became an instant success. Chris began his career as a hairdresser & was once more familiar with coiffing hair than steaming dumplings. Had he not given up his blow-dryer for butane burners, foodies across the country wouldn’t have him to thank for bringing authentic yet modern Singaporean & Chinese cuisine to today’s dining landscape.

SINO (pronounced «SIGH-no»), the second endeavor of culinary artist Chris, was envisioned to entice the palette with the tradition of Dim Sum, which means «A little Something from the Heart,» & the wonders of modern Chinese cuisine while using traditional cooking techniques of Cantonese origin. Sino’s elegant design evokes a sultry Shanghai & features elements like a water wall & intimate lounge.
