It was just last week that I happened to drive past this place after chilling with my cousin and dropping off his girlfriend at her dads house for Christmas. It was the rent one get one free sign that reeled me in. It’s been so long since I’ve rented a movie that I still don’t really miss it but it is still nice to know of this video store. From the entrance on my left you see a dimly lit room full of movies in vhs format and more in the main store on the left you are candy vending machines which is probably for a quarter then ps2 and xbox and maybe even xbox360 games. I don’t play either xbox so I didn’t make sure. But on the right are four walls stacked with all region one dvds both Hollywood and foreign new and old releases. All with either an English dub or subs. Down the wall will be a small spanish and chinese section of dvds. Make your way into the main portion of the store and you’ll find what looks to be assorted trinkets possibly around the price for a dollar but again because I wasn’t there for that then please don’t fully rely on that quick assessment. And way way hidden In the back you have your adult titles. I honestly didn’t go in to the adult section but trust me it’s there. Videos are three fifty, with Monday through Thursday getting you the rent one get one free deal and one of the other days it’s rent one get two free. Sounds enticing. An annoyance though for sure for a first timer is the membership application, but since I drove already all the way there I filled in my name, number, address, date of birth, driver license number, work number, place of employment, ssn, credit card number and if you want another card holder then you’ll list their name, date of birth, driver license number and relationship to you. It also had a spot that was for a deposit but I just exed that out and was never asked about it. After the whole process she laminates your card and you should be ready to rent. The lady that was there seemed nice but once I said thank you in Vietnamese she lit up and became very friendly. We parted both with bye in Vietnamese and I went back to my car that was parked in a medium sized parking lot. I imagine that on a busy day it may fill up. Three stars simply because I expected it to have less hollywood films and more foreign but I guess they’re trying to oblige the english speaking neighborhood, had they used all the store for movies I think they’d have a pretty rock’n selection but well, they didn’t.
