Sealed with a Kiss

We used Sealed with a Kiss for our wedding, specifically Richard Aptekar. He was great! We met with him before deciding and had mini «interview» and he gave us examples of the types of ceremonies he has done before. We immediately hit it off with him. He has a great sense of humor and a passion for what he does. Leading up to the wedding, we answered a brief survey and Richard used our answers to draft the ceremony. We were able to completely review and customize it how we wanted and send it back to him. On the big day, everything went smoothly. Richard entertained our audience and lead a heart felt ceremony. It was light-​hearted and sincere. My husband and I were very happy with the results. He was very sweet and even offered me a hanky during the ceremony when I got teary-​eyed. He spoke clearly and did a great job. I highly recommend working with Richard!

We had Brian officiate our non-​religious wedding. Two months out from the wedding, he sent us a questionnaire to complete. Our responses were used in the ceremony, which made it personal and unique. He also sent us drafts of the ceremony to review and edit starting a month out from our day. In the end, the ceremony was performed exactly as written and there were no surprises. After having gone to other weddings, I am happy that our ceremony was not cookie-​cutter and we had the liberty to adapt it. To add, Brian has a great speaking voice and a very friendly demeanor. He was well-​received by all.

my husband i were married by brian at the end of june. we were very happy with brian and sealed with a kiss. all email inqueries were handled very quickly by christina and i never had to worry about a thing. brian was great, he lead the rehearsal and had plenty of jokes to calm my nerves. i highly recommed brian and sealed with a kiss!

We used Sealed With A Kiss for our officiant and professional photography. We definitely were pleased with their service. Richard was extremely nice and he performed a wonderful ceremony. He was very prompt with our wishes for the ceremony and helped us keep things simple. Christina was our photographer and she was phenomenal! We booked her for an hour and a half, mostly for the ceremony and after pictures. I believe she stayed over 2 hours or around that. When we received the pictures they were stunning! I wish we could have afforded to have her stay the entire wedding because im sure she would have taken some amazing shots but what we got was perfect and both my husband and I are extremely happy with everything they did for us.

LOVED this company! RICHARD was amazing at our wedding! We had him as our officiant and he fit the part not only as our officiant but as a member of our family. We became very close as we met with him twice before the wedding and talked for an hour and a half over coffee. Very easy person to talk with. He truly seemed to care about our day and how we would like it to run. He even sang us a «best wishes» song at the end of our wedding (privately, in the back). Great Guy with a caring genuine personality! He was great at the ceremony (not overly loud or obnoxious like some officiants can be) just perfect. Christina Salinas was great at keeping up with the emails and helping us stay on time with our questionnaire and deadlines (as the ceremonies are tailored specifically to the couple, it takes a while to write up which is why deadlines are important). They are Really fast with processing and making sure your wedding certificates are mailed out as well as very prompt on timing (wedding rehearsal/​wedding and meeting times, never had to wait for him) I will most definitely refer this business to future friends and families getting married.

Recently married and Richard was our officiant.
We had a preliminary meeting and he was so accommodating from the start. Initially I was a little nervous about the meeting. Richard though was asking great questions and made us feel like it was a few friends getting together to talk about an exciting day.
He is precise and quick on answering an questions, I would email him and he would get back to me in matter of minutes, now that really eased me knowing that all my qualms would be answered and I was at ease about the officiant.
The company itself I believe it is small, the only thing I really didn’t like is they prefer and push for you to use check or pay in cash.
Overall I suggest meeting Richard and booking HIM. He was awesome, so cool even when everyone is nervous making you feel at ease and just to enjoy the moment.

I wrote this review two months ago. I wanted to post it before the wedding, but my fiancé was scared of retaliation so I waited until after the wedding.
This small company consists of two officiants and a photographer. One of the officiants is married to the photographer. The photographer’s name is Christina Salinas. She is your first contact.
She will tell you who is available for that day, arrange a meeting, and then send out a contract if you want to hire the officiant. Throughout that whole process, she was fine. I experience no problems with contact her. She was our «middle man» so to speak. I got to our officiant through her.
About two months before our wedding, we received an email that I hadn’t sent in my part of the contract or our questionnaire. I completely forgot that I had to sign the contract which was my fault. (At least I didn’t forget the deposit). We also forgot to send in the couples’ questionnaire. Life happens okay? Especially when you are planning a long-​distance wedding. That’s when a friendly reminder comes in.
I sent the contract and the questionnaire to her. She emailed me back with a thanks and wrote «Forward CG to so and so». That’s was it. I don’t know if I’m being too sensitive, but none of my other wedding vendors talked or emailed me in that manner before. It sounded like an order. My other vendors usually say hi, ask how I was doing?, or at least say please and thank you. Needless to say I was irked by it.
I was also annoyed that she couldn’t forward the email to him herself. How difficult is it to press «forward» on an email? Since I was in contact with her, I was never given our officiant’s contact info. I emailed her back stating that I never received his email and can she please send it to me. I even said please. The next email was just his email address and that was it. In my mind, I’m thinking there is no way to tell how a person is speaking in an email, but if you read that, it comes off as rude. Again, how difficult is it for her to forward it for me? It would have been the nice, kind thing to do.
I think she needs some training in email protocol. If you work in the wedding business, you have to be nice to your customers (even after they have already sent the deposit). I could show her examples of how emails should be written to brides. I have plenty of wonderful examples of kind vendor email correspondence that show that they appreciate their customers.

Our officiant was wonderful to work with. He fit the part and everything. The only thing was that he is not very good at was remembering things that I told him or emailed him. My fiancé and I had fixed the first draft of the vows and sent it back to him. He said that he would look them over. On our actual wedding day, he read the first draft. NONE of the changes were included. When we heard that, we just kept our cool and let the ceremony continue, but I wasn’t very happy because we had to spend time fixing the stuff he had written.
Also, during the rehearsal and previous emails, I had told him that we were going to do our own vows before the traditional vows. He still forgot and I had to remind him during the ceremony. I had to stop him before he started reading them.
But in the end, everyone didn’t really know what was going to happen so it was fine. He sang us a lovely song before he left and gave me a handkerchief when I started tearing.

Rev. Richard officiated a wonderful ceremony for our recent wedding at The Sainte Claire in San Jose, CA. He was professional yet personal and so easy to coordinate with during this busy time. He really listened to the tone we wanted to set with our ceremony and delivered every word just beautifully!

My experience with everyone at Sealed with a Kiss has been positive. Our September 2011 wedding was officiated by Reverend Richard, and he did an amazing job! Throughout the entire wedding planning process, Reverend Richard was the only vendor I could count on to reply to my e-​mails in a timely and professional manner and to be flexible. He put a lot of effort into writing our ceremony and was great about making the changes that we requested. My husband and I really felt like we had the freedom to make suggestions and additions without the fear of being ignored or rejected. Reverend Richard performed the ceremony extremely well, and we were very happy with our choice for officiant! I would definitely recommend Reverend Richard and Sealed with a Kiss to other couples looking for a good officiant!

I had my wedding done by Brian in 2010 and it was excellent. Both my wife and I weren’t sure what we wanted, but after going through many officiants online and through wedding guides, I was able to narrow it down.
One of the memorable moments in meeting him was that he does communicate well and while speaking at a good pace he says in a loud voice «The most important thing is ‘are you comfortable with me and what I’ve been saying so far?» I thought it was humorously a bit intimidating, but sure enough he was great. He took care of every concern with our bridal party and we did feel comfortable with him. The practice run was informative and did calm a lot of the nervousness we both had and whatever Brian was a part of we didn’t worry about during the wedding.
If you need an officiant, Brian’s the man.

My husband and I hired Reverend Richard to be our wedding officiant last year. Although we met him only once prior to the wedding rehearsal, the wedding ceremony was great. Richard had such enthusiasm during the ceremony and multiple people commented that they really enjoyed it. Also, despite not knowing each prior to the wedding, Richard made it seem like he knew us well.
If you are looking for a simple, reasonably priced, and not highly religious (maybe they do religious ceremonies too, we just preferred for it not to be), and professional ceremony officiant, do consider Sealed with a Kiss!

Was very pleased with sealed with a kiss as we simply found them without a refferal. Of all the wedding vendors, we received the most compliments for them. Brian spoke very well and put everyone at ease and even drew some tears of joy from people.

Brian and Christina were so great to work with and Brian really did an amazing job helping us with our vows, which were perfect and so beautiful. He really made me feel calm before my ceremony and everyone even complimented on how great he was. My husband and I found Sealed with a Kiss through our ceremony venue. When we contacted them for their officiant services months prior to our wedding, we were assigned to Rev. Brian Salinas. After our 1^st meeting with Brian, my husband and I booked him right away because he seemed very professional, easygoing, friendly and super funny. He made us feel very comfortable with ourselves and we liked his style of work. Brian was able to create and customize our ceremony to fit our personalities. Their price was very reasonable. During our rehearsal, Brian went above and beyond to communicate with our wedding party and since I did not hire an event coordinator I was stressed that it might be a bit challenging at the rehearsal/​ceremony but Brian was there to keep everything together and ensure everyone knows what they were suppose to be doing on the day of the wedding. Our wedding turned out better than we ever imagined and Brian did a fantastic job performed as our officiant! Thanks again, Brian! We would definitely recommend Brian and Sealed with a Kiss to all happily engaged couples!
