The San Jose Silicon Valley Chamber of Commerce provides the information, resources, tools and connections for businesses to help businesses prosper and succeed.

History

Established in 1886.

For the last 128 years, the San Jose Silicon Valley has promoted the region and its businesses. The organization predecessor created the «Valley of the Hearts Delight» to promote the region’s agricultural prowess. In the early 1930s, the chamber provided the cash to purchase land for what became Moffett Field and helped begin our modern high-​tech era.

Now, in 2014, it has launched a Regional Economic Development Initiative (www​.svedc​.com) to look into the future and keep the economy strong and the region a great place to live, work and do business.

I attend a lot of local business chamber meetings, this is the least friendly.

They have a nice chamber but their directory website for members is outdated by over 6 years. I cannot put in my social media, logo, description, or links. This is a little surprising since I would assume Silicon Valley would have a more advanced interface for their members. I will sign up again if they improve their system for members.

Very surprise to be the first one to review this Chamber. They are excellent in connecting new businesses to potential clients through their very many events. I was able to become an Ambassador and even more so advertise my business from a different point of view. If you are a business owner, join! Tell them Doreen sent ya.
