When we decided to have a security system installed, my first concern was finding someone we could trust who would not oversell us, etc. We hit the jackpot with Ryan. Ryan presented us with different options, emphasizing the practicalities specific to our home. There was no over sale whatsoever. I fully expected the installation of the system would be contracted out. instead, not only was Ryan our salesperson, he was the installer. He was exceedingly competent, professional and straightforward in all of his dealings with us. He installed our system in exact accordance with the sales presentation. Flat out, outstanding!

After much research and reviews we finally had our security system installed. I am so glad we chose Ryan! He was so professional and friendly. He went over everything in detail and didn’t over sell us on things we didn’t need! That I loved! I am so glad we are all secure right in time for the holidays!

Where do I begin? I have been researching alarm systems & local companies for over a year and finally chose to get an ADT quote through Ryan. I could not be happier with my choice! Ryan came out the same day to look at my house & cleared his schedule to accommodate an installation before I went out of town the same weekend! EXCELLENT in every area I can think of! PRICE: the areas you can get differing prices are on ADT monthly monitoring fees and any additional equipment needed past the «free» system. Trust me, Ryan has the BEST pricing and he as 100% honest and up front from the beginning about his prices and his competitors! I have dealt with many «sales» people, but Ryan is genuine without a hint of any high pressure tactics! I cannot recommend him highly enough if you are ready for an alarm system to protect your house. I am thrilled with my system, I have not had one issue (other than my own goof ups) and I have been recommending him to all of my neighbors!

We originally had an ADT sales rep come to the house to give us an estimate and we were disappointed by their lack of knowledge of the security system and aggressiveness to push us into adding features we didn’t need. We were at our wits end when my husband decided to search on Unilocal and found Ryan Sharp, who is a third party ADT security system installer. He had so many positive reviews, that we called him to give us an estimate on installing an alarm system in our home. I can’t say enough nice things about Ryan. When he arrived at our home to give us an estimate and information about installing a security system we were so relieved that he actually knew what he was talking about. And he wasn’t pushy about adding extra things to jack up the cost. He was honest and so easy to work with. On the day of installation Ryan was at the house by 9 a. m, and he stayed until the job was finished, which was no easy task since we have so many windows that needed sensors. It’s a pleasure to know Ryan and to do business with him. He showed up on time and installed our alarm system quickly and expertly. He’s friendly and well-​spoken, and answered all our questions. He explained how to use the system and all its options without trying to «up-​sell» us. When it became necessary to make a small adjustment to one of our sensors, he graciously made an extra trip to our home. It’s unusual these days to find service as good as Ryan provides.

We tracked Ryan down and called him because our system battery was low. He came out free of charge and even went the extra mile to help us move one of our sensors. He’s really a great guy and seriously amazing to work with. 5 stars over and over again.

We just bought a house in Los Altos (moving from Washington) and it had a wired security system from the prior owners that they said worked at one time, but they haven’t used in years. We wanted to get ADT reusing what we could from the wired system and then use wireless for anything that didn’t still work.
Ryan came out and sorted through the rats nest of wires the prior owner had left, and did an excellent job reusing what he could from the prior system and making sure everything else was covered with wireless sensors.. It was an very big job, and Ryan dedicated the time to get the job done and get it done right. We are very pleased with the job Ryan did, his work ethic and his commitment to making sure we had a fully working system to our satisfaction. We highly recommend him!

About two years ago my wife and kids moved into a house in Salinas… With changing times and stories of home burglaries my wife wanted us to get an alarm for the house. Talking to my buddy Jeff about the situation. He says I know I guy…
So a phone call later, Ryan shows up for the install. He was very Prompt. Professional and was willing to answer all my questions without all the bs. If your like me you just don’t let anybody into your home. That was not the case with Ryan. He was Super nice guy and had a trustworthy demeanor! Ryan has to be the hardest working and dedicated home security folks I’ve ever seen.
I called ADT and got a clueless rep who came out and wasn’t happy.
So I went online and looked at Unilocal,which brought me to Ryan.
I called and easily scheduled an appointment for a consultation with Ryan for the very next day. He had other installs and work going on but promised to fit us into his busy schedule.
He came out the next day for our consult, answered all my questions, including some technical ones and put me at ease with his expertise at home security systems. I was impressed and asked him when he could install the system.
He had the entire system set up and installed in my house within 48 hours and it all works great.
More importantly, he didn’t try to upwell me on things I didn’t need.

Ryan is a incredibly diligent, knowledgeable, thoughtful and thorough ADT dealer/​technician. I had him put in a Pulse system with some unusual requirements; his installation was clean, quiet, timely, and fully effective. As I went through a normal learning curve, Ryan researched as needed, revisited when needed, and talked me through the new system.
I had ADT installed in a prior residence, by a different dealer. While they were adequate, Ryan was light years better. I would absolutely refer anyone with home security needs, to Ryan.

This review is long overdue! back in 2004 or 2005… we bought a property on Park Avenue and was in the process of remodeling/​reconstructing into our new office. It was vacant and only contained the construction workers’ tools and equipment. One morning, it appeard as though someone was trying to rob the place. All the tools and equipment were lined up near the door. It seemed as though they were interrupted so they took off. Later that morning, I signed up for instant quotes from alarm companies, I can’t remember what service this was, but obviously prior to Unilocal!Three companies responded. I met with one company (can’t remember which one, but I wasn’t impressed), the second caller scheduled for the next day and the third happened to be Ryan Sharp. This was the very first time ever meeting him. He was punctual and very professional.
Long story short… that day, he installed a wireless alarm system for only $ 99 or $ 199? so long ago, I forget. I did have to pay for a few extra items that I insisted on, such as an additional motion detector. He set everything up within an hour or two!
LATER THAT NIGHT/​EARLY MORNING! we receive a call (we are at home across town) from ADT saying they’ve received a signal and they’ve alerted the police. We arrive to our building with the police standing there near an open window where someone was trying to break in again! Actually, without the alarm system scaring him/​her off, they were already in! After all the construction work was completed, we moved our office in. Lots of computers, printers, network systems, personal property, etc… I was able to rest assured knowing that ADT was watching over our investment!
Since then, Ryan has installed many alarm systems for us (our home and other office bldgs), our family, our friends and clients. He is very dependable, knowledgeable and experienced. I will always recommend Ryan to people I know (or not know on Unilocal) because he’s good at what he does and he’s always there when we need him. He greets you with that awesome smile of his with sincerity! Once you meet him, you’ll know what I’m talking about. He’s very trustworthy and honest, qualities you want in the guy who installs your alarm system!

When someone has all 5 star reviews, believe the hype. Ryan came as advertised. He was knowledgable, courteous, and thorough. He never tried to up sell any product and simply explained what were the advantages and disadvantages of each alarm brand. To top it off Ryan’s install was completely perfect. Trust me don’t use one of those companies on those flyer ads. Ryan is the real deal and he really cares about your system. He even leaves his phone number on the unit if you have any technical questions. I couldn’t be more happy. Thank you Ryan! Did I mention he recreated the textured look on my wall after he drilled a small hole for install? This guy is simply the best.

Not all ADT dealers are the same, and Ryan stands out above all else, TWICE!
Ryan was very good when he installed our home system in 2005 as he first started out in the business. We moved to a new home recently, and the existing system dealer (Digital Interior) kept trying to up-​sell us. So we decided to convert to ADT again. After a no-​show from a different ADT deal, we made a call, and it turned out to be Ryan again. We were pleasantly surprised.
What we like about Ryan are all the little things one would expect from a professional service consultant: a) Ryan is thorough in his explanation of options, b) Ryan is detailed & accurate in his installation, labeling, and testing of the installation, c) Ryan makes the security system seem simple & intuitive, d) Ryan is friendly, low-​key, clean & neat.

Ryan set up my ADT system back in 2003. He was very professional, knowledgeable, and honest. He is passionate about this industry and truly cares about his customers.
Through the years I stayed in touch with him whenever I had questions about my system or when I needed to add additional items like a monitored carbon monoxide or smoke detector. He responds quickly to emails and calls. Years after my initial install, Ryan guided me in testing my VOIP system with ADT. He is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to alarm systems.

In a security business, trust and honesty are two essential characteristics that are a must. Simply put, Ryan is a perfect example that embodies these two traits. After moving into a new house (my first one!), the number one priority was getting a security system installed. Being the kind of guy that likes to understand what I’m paying for and being new to the home security industry, I made over 20 calls to various ADT people. Some from the corporate ADT office and some from ADT licensed distributors. All gave me different packages and misleading information.
It only took 15 minutes to talk to Ryan on the phone and agree to his services. I immediately felt at ease and knew that everything that he was telling me was honest and truthful. Ryan is a one man shop. He installs, takes service calls and does everything himself. That is the reason why he is able to give the best packages and pass the savings onto the consumer.
Patient and Understanding: Ryan is very patient in explaining everything. He sits down with you — answering all the questions you have very thoroughly and to your content. He is an experienced installer and has spent nearly 12 years in the business. He does his work in the most patient manner, never rushing to finish the job. His goal as he told me is to do the job to the best of his ability. In my case, he found creative ways to hide the electrical wire. The service control panel literally looks like a work of art on my wall.
Professional and Friendly: Ryan was absolutely fantastic to work with. He responds to all forms of communication (emails and phone calls) extremely quickly and he is readily available to help.
