Robot Shark

I recently got my phone within the last month and this was two days before I cracked my iPhone 6 screen when I came in to get this done. I called in before to see how much it would be to replace the screen, I came in with my grandpa the same day and everything went fine with the process of turning it in. We couldn’t kinda understand the guy (I don’t know his name, Marco?) but he told us it would take about an hour to get it fixed. But it was a little less time before he called in, which I couldn’t even make out anything but the word ‘done.’ There was background noise and it seemed really rude after the call.
When we came in to get my phone, I was super happy that it came back as a like-​new screen because I’ve never dropped any of the phones I’ve had to be this severely cracked.
When it was time to pay, my grandpa paid with his debit card, but the guy behind the counter kept swiping the card and my grandpa got mad because he has trust issues with being charged for unnecessary causes/​reasons. But the guy said that there was something wrong with the system and kept saying he was sorry. So I had to pay the original amount in cash that I heard over the phone the first time I called in. Because if we’d pay with the card then he’d charge tax…
A day or two after, my grandpa called me saying that the guy had charged his debit card even though I still paid with my cash. But my grandpa went to the bank and cut off that transaction. AND the more I’ve been with my phone I noticed that my rear camera is blurry on one side and clear and fine on the other side. My front camera was cut off just an edge bit because I see a crescent gray space where the glass opens up on my front camera. Basically, the guy wasn’t straight with putting in the replacing screen on. Which gives my thoughts about why he took less time with it.
I want to be a future photographer and take nice, clear, close up pictures with my iPhone. Unfortunately, this operation stops me and I don’t have the money to replace my phone just for the cameras. I was disappointed when I noticed these flaws from the replacement. I just wanted to get my screen replace quick because I can’t deal with a cracked screen because I’ve never broken one like this.
I don’t think I’ll come back. Maybe, maybe not but I’m not a one to always be dropping my phone.

Marco Escobar of Robot Shark, an IT services and computer repair shop in Gilroy, worked on three of my laptop computers. One of them was infected with the ubiquitous
malware suite and one with the fairly rare
browser hijacker. Two of the computers were running Office 2007 with Windows 7 Home Premium; one ran no Office products but had Windows 2007 Professional installed. Finally, each of the two Outlook computers, older Lenovo X61’s, were so overburdened with all of their software that they ran exceptionally slowly.
After installing solid-​state hard drives and higher-​capacity RAM, Marco backed-​up the personal folder (PST) files of the Outlook computers and reloaded the Microsoft products, removing all traces of the
malware. He then installed Outlook 2013 and set it to sync with my Gmail account. In addition, he informed me that the very slow internet speed I was experiencing could be remedied by changing from my non-​cable service provider to Charter Business. Lastly, he cleaned up the computer running Windows Professional, ridding it of the
hijacker.
Marco did all of this work over a two-​week period, as my needs and desired became clearer, and he did with dispatch, precision, and good humor. Moreover, he did if for a price that in my opinion barely compensated him for all his time and effort.

My husband MADE me come here to fix the broken screen on my iPhone. I didn’t want to come here in the first place. They had fixed a virus on my daughter’s lap top a few months ago and we are still getting pop-up’s on it… So I already know their work is crappy.
First their pricing is a little bit more expensive than other vendors. Second their customer service is terrible.
The first guy who took my phone said one to two hours. At the latest 2:30. This is at 11:15. He had no knowledge of anything, couldn’t answer a single question. Just kept saying «you have to ask Marco. I just opened the store»
When I went back at 2:30 to pick up my phone, that same guy was sitting at a desk watching YouTube. Turned to look at me, then turned back to the computer to watch his pointless show. Not even a greeting.
Marco was helping another customer with his laptop, and again no greeting, no «just one moment», no «I’ll be right with you». Nothing. I’m annoyed at this point.
After 10 minutes of waiting, Marco finally decides to help me and tells me that the screen just came in and I need to give them another half an hour. You’ve had my phone since 11:15 this morning! No thank you give me my phone back!
They need to step up their customer service and communicate amongst each other a lot better. Will not be back!

RUDE! Had read good things about this place and was hopeful they would help when I cracked the screen to my phone. Went in and they told me they would have a screen and have it done by Monday afternoon, so I didn’t go elsewhere on the weekend as previously planned. On Monday, they took my info 4 times and said they would call me for sure because they were getting the screen… No call-​no screen. Finally tired of waiting, I call back and they said they have no idea when a screen would come in and I can take it to another vendor. Thanks for nothing!

I used robot shark for my hp laptop repair. It took me a bit to find their shop. It is a little hole in the wall in downtown gilroy. It took them 24 hours to diagnose my laptop, but news was good! It had a short and needed a new cord. They fixed the short and I ordered a cord from Amazon and all is well.

My HP Pavilion dv6 laptop started having several problems after owning it for over five years. I checked in the area for some good candidates to repair it and get me back to work fast. I checked on Unilocal and found Marco’s company Robot Shark. I called him and immediately felt that he was the right person to handle my computer problems quickly. Since I needed the computer to conduct a client meeting the next day, I expressed this to Marco and he told me that he would get the job done even if he had to stay late to do it. I got updates throughout the day and evening, and by 12:30 am (yes, that late), Marco had replaced my hard drive, cleaned and checked my computer, and installed most of my 20 years worth of sensitive law firm files. Thereafter, the computer’s fan and battery died, and Marco immediately replaced those components and again kept me up to date on his progress. He was very generous with his time and expertise, and I can’t thank him enough for his service and professionalism dealing with me and my firm’s computer.

I thought I was going to have to send my lenovo laptop off to the Betty Ford Rehab Center for Corrupted Pc’s. It was sick and acting strange. So glad I decided to go local and visit Marco at RobotShark. He took the time to completely test it out, repaired it in a timely manner and handed it over to me good as new! Professional, reasonable and local.

Very profesional, my MAC AIR was a mess, I had to take it back a few times, he went above and beyond to help me. Even coming in on Sunday to meet me before I left town. He also replaced the screen on my husbands 4s in an hour :)

Robot Shark is amazing! My husband and I are travel bloggers who are traveling the US in an RV. We found ourselves in hot water when a can of hair spray fell out of the medicine cabinet right onto the screen of my iPhone 5s, shattering it! Went every were to get my laptop fixed and found this place called RoboShark, it turned out to be the cheapest price when I paid for it then staples or best buy, RoboShark emploreea really know there stuff about computers, turned out my laptop was having problems not with a virus but a broken burned out hardrive. They fixed my laptop and put in a 1tb hardrive, it was like brand new

Great Service at Robot Shark. I have an ASUS tablet that my kid dropped (with a cover). Luckily the screen wasn’t damaged, but the screen wouldn’t turn on. Working with Marco, he was very helpful and responsive. They were able to identify the problem and gave me a very fair statement of work. ASUS quoted $ 200 to fix, Robot Shark was able to do it at less than half that price. I didn’t have to deal with packaging, shipping and waiting for the product to come back if I deal with the vendor. I would definitely go back with other computer related issues and I’d recommend their services.

Passing through Gilroy with my computer messed up. And stopped by this place, dropped my computer off in the morning got it back in the afternoon. I told the guy I didn’t live there and he tried his hardest to get it back the same day. If I’m ever in Gilroy with computer problems will definitely stop by again. Awesome work!

I went to robot shark for a laptop repair and was very happy when they not only fixed it for a good price but it was done in two days :) I also brought a tablet in that wouldn’t turn on because it was damaged. They said they would see if they could fix it even though it looked bleak. But maybe a week or two later I got a call that they fixed it. Yay! Very happy with these guys. Will be coming here from now on for all my electronic repairs!

My laptop needed to be restored, I did not want to deal with the hassles and long waiting you get with geek squad so I looked for a local independent business. I am glad I found Robot Shark on Unilocal.
I had my computer like new in about 48hrs for a reasonable price.
I like the fact that you don’t have to worry about dropping your laptop off and not knowing who will work on it. The tech who works on your system is the one you meet and they take their time to explain any questions you have.

I have a MacBookPro (it’s only yrs old) and I have not had any problems with it so far, but I just thought that I would like it to be checked to prevent any future problems. After hearing the price he gave my coworker I decided to have him check out my laptop. I had received different quotes from different places but they were all running up from $ 200-​$ 300. When Marco gave me the quote I took it!
