Regency of Evergreen Valley

We lost our mom recently. While she was at Regency, the staff and caretakers here are the BEST! Mom was in their memory care unit, and we didn’t ever need to worry about her. She was in capable hands every single day! We are thankful for the staff at Regency and for the excellent care they provide! The relationship between the staff and members of our family was seamless and accommodating! Always someone there to speak with if necessary and collaborate with. Mom’s care was of utmost importance and they took care of all of her needs daily! Stephanie and her crew are dedicated angels who provide the BEST of everything!

I have been having a working relationship with Regency of Evergreen Valley for over 3 yrs now. I help the facility with additional care with my caregivers in my agency 1 +1 Senior Care. Jolie Higgins and Stephanie Howards are the most dedicated women I have come across in my years for management. Full of passion and love for their residents and team members. Walking into this facility with amazing smiles and greets each time sure makes what ever day you had before entering self heeling. Residents walking around chatting with staff and laughing goes a long way in my book. I personally when the time comes will be looking at my family to a home truly called home like Regency of Evergreen Valley. Keep up the amazing work. Due to our line of work in this industry is very difficult and your either have the personality and response or you don’t. THESE LADIES truly HAVE THE PACKAGE.

My grandfather has lived here for about 5 years. He was hesitant at first on how it would be here since living out at his previous house for many years. He adjusted well. He really enjoys it here.
He likes to play cards. Poker and black jack is played throughout the week and really enjoys it. He really enjoys doing exercise every morning with all the other residents. The residents go out to lunch outings to different restaurants and he likes to be able to eat different kinds of foods. The menu here is great as well. It gives the residents here options to choose different food items.
The employees here are very passionate and their care to residents is awesome. One less thing we as a family we have to worry about.
The management is great. If my family or I have a question or concern, they are more than willing to hear us out and solve the issue. They have an open door policy which is good to see that they don’t hide behind a closed door. I highly recommend this facility to anyone looking for a place for their loved one.

I moved my Father here because of the management staff about 3 years ago. Stephanie Howard, the director, was, I thought, trustworthy and honest. I have been pleased all this time with the excellent care the staff gives until, suddenly, out of the blue, I was called one evening and told I would need to move my Dad. Stephanie had told me upon moving in, that my Father could die here with hospice support, but this assurance turns out not to be true! I trusted her, but my trust was betrayed. Think twice before you place your loved one here. She will tell you what you want to hear. They have been sending their patients to Vista. I found out at least 9 have been transferred. Good care, but watch your back!

The Regency is a wonderful senior living facility. Our first contact was Stephanie Howard. She gave us a tour and talked with us about what kind of care my father in law needed. She has a passion for helping people and it shows in her actions. We were sold on the facility and the care that our father in law would receive. Our next contact was with Steven Silacci and Jolie Higgins. They were both very helpful with the initial paperwork and procedure for moving in. Errol Rivera who is the business office director is very understanding regarding the initial move in deposit and payment. Tiffany who was at the front desk was very helpful answering all of our questions. On move in day we met JR Garcia the Maintenance Director. His service was incredible. We had to move a TV from one wall to the other and he called one of his staff and completed the job right then. We needed a towel bar and he left for a few minutes and brought two towel bars back and installed it right then. Our experience so far has been awesome with Regency. They have a «Can Do Attitude» regarding our father in law and his care. I would highly recommend Regency to anyone who is looking for a senior living facility.

Well my mom has been at Regency just over a year. The facility changed ownership a short time ago and the transition has gone reasonably smoothly.
I still appreciate the extra mile that staff goes to care for my mom. I do not worry about her as I know I will get a phone call if anything is wrong. They check on her several times a day including during the night if needed.
They have a new driver for their van who is incredible. He is one of the kindest people you will ever meet. He helps with so much more than just transportation needs. Also their new activities director is great. She is always so bright and cheerful. I could go on but all in all I have been incredibly happy with Regency.

I have been working at Regency for a little over one year. It might seem strange to post a review at your place of employment but I am passionate about the people that work here. The staff is one of the most dedicated staff that I have ever worked with. Many of the managers have been here since the doors opened ten years ago. The care givers treat the residents like family, very giving and nurturing, especially in Clare Bridge, which is the memory wing for dementia. There is nursing on site 24/​7, only one other assisted living community in San Jose offers the same. Regency also provides on-​site physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy. Their goal is pro-​active, to evaluate residents and treat them before a fall/​incident occurs. I can’t say enough about this family environment which is a Brookdale property that owns and operates over 550 communities nationwide.
