PT2 Physical & Sports Therapy With A Personal Touch

I’ve seen Melani for chronic back issues for a few years and she is wonderful. I used to go to chiropractors but it didn’t make as big of an impact long term. I feel so much better and my flare-​ups are much less frequent. I really trust her approach and her incredible knowledge about the body. I highly recommend her!

My wife, my son and I have been treated by Melani over the years. We have been treated by other Physical Therapists but Melani stands out above all. When we first saw Melani she worked 4 miles from our home. Today she works 20 miles away and we still make the trip and that says it all. Melani is a class act!

From Football, wrestling, weight lifting, construction work in other countries to a Frozen shoulder, and Parkinson in 2007. It took three 3 orthopedic, three Neurologist and a Neuro surgeon, to get me to get me in front of the right doctor.
I had come to a place of not being able to drive my (manual) 5 speed transmission, I was scaring the folks who were brave enough to venture a ride with me an to be honest I was not to happy with my driving either. The same week I sold my Scion and picked up a Honda with a automatic transmission. It was recommended to me to see Dr. Nengchun Hung, MD, PhD — 408−376−0316 In Los Gatos, CA. He was able to turn me around with in a week. My walking started to improve. With in two weeks. My Stanford Orthopedic doc — Jason Dragoo — 800−717−0012 In Redwood City recommend I see PT 2 for my Physical Therapy. The fact that My Doctor in Redwood City knew of PT2 in South San Jose 10 min’s from the house was amazing. Even better yet they were wonderful people and great therapist.

Sometimes places can really change your life and this is one of those places. I had a major stroke 2 and ½ years ago, unexpected as it can be. I was 41 years old and it took me from a very happy, upbeat person to a paralyzed on the right side, not able to speak, brain not working person. For 3 days the doctors were sure I would not make it and for a month I didn’t understand what had happened.
Several months into my recovery (after I had at home physical therapy, speech and occupational) I was looking for an excellent physical therapist. For me, this would be a major part of my recovery, at the time I didn’t realize but looking back Leanne helped me tremendously.
I was on a waiting list at Stanford, Good Sam, other hospitals. Two months later I got a call from Stanford. Excellent, can’t go wrong with Stanford. Wrong. Quite. My mom drove me (as she did everywhere for 2 years, yeah mom!!) for 45 minutes to get there. I walked upstairs, which is difficult when your right side does not work. The person spent TEN minutes with me. Sent me home. That was it? She didn’t touch me, examine me, really seem to care a bit about me. We gave them one more time (and this is not against Stanford, many of my doctors are there and you can’t do better, just not every dept). I had to find somewhere better than this. I wanted to recover as much as I can and this was not helping.
I then went to PT2. Saw Leanne but everyone there is excellent. She spent 2 hours with me my first time, measuring all my abilities, examining all of me, taking her time and genuinely caring about me. I went there 2 times a week for an hour and ½ or more each time. She gave me the name of an excellent rehab doctor, she figured out what my shoulder problem was (MRI proved it), she recommended I do rehab swimming at Timpany pool (boring, but worth it). She was very experienced at stroke patients and was an important part of my ongoing recovery. I cannot say enough positive things about my experience at PT2rd.

I was treated by Melanie after a leg injury. She was professional, informative, and helped me to more quickly recover compared to doing so myself. The facility is clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. My wife also was treated there and also had an excellent experience.
