Premium Car Stereo & Window Tint

A little late on this review but 2 — 3 year ago I got a tint on my old car and I was happy with the work. The only problem I had was that it had super tiny bubble on some spots. That was years ago so I’m sure they got better and too be honestly didn’t care too much. Just bought a new car and will be coming in sometime soon.

I took my jeep for a window tint last week! And let me start by saying i went to 3 diffrent shops before this one and no one wanted to tint them because the windows were difficult and would take «too long», they all did not want to work obviously so then I came to premium and talked to Mario the owner, who told me they were difficult but he was going to do them. They came out PERFECT! He didnt even take long at all either he is really good at window tint!
Of course i would recommend this place TALK TO MARIO for the best deals.

F&$k this place… They told me they had a available opening to tint my windows and I drove from redwood city to San Jose just to be told that never had a spot open … So fuck this place

Ok, my review is not about their service but the response I got form them — exactly from the owner Mario (I just think it’s good to know that they replied sooo fast and in such professional way!)!
When I was looking for the place to install my car radio, he was the first who answered my questions and gave me the quote — everything in less than an hour since I sent my request!
And even I went to another place (my boyfriend took me there), I was amazed by the Mario’s responses. He was very kind, knowledgable, asked reasonable questions and gave me the great quote! There was no push (ing), no rush, just simple questions about my current equipment and expectations! I truly believe that their service is just great, but I wasn’t able to try that. So. read other reviews and give them a try! Why not!!! Especially if they are such professional and they are open so long (even on the weekend)!!

They do good work at a good price. Fit was good. Everything was nice and even. Because their store is just a few feet from Capital Expressway, they thoughtfully parked my car at the gas station next door so I didn’t have to deal with backing out onto the expressway. These little things matter.

I was happy with the job that was done. I got my tints and rear view camera installed. They gave me a good price and were able to squeeze me in last min. Everyone there seemed really helpful and patient with any questions I had. If I ever need anything else done I will fersure come back and recommend them.

All I can say is Mario is the Man.
I came to this place and it looked small at first but don’t be fooled by that. I originally came here to tint my wife’s windows but when we came across Mario he ended up giving us such a great deal we left with a pioneer touch car stereo, two headrest TVs a new amp for my car and all windows tinted on both of our cars. Mario made us feel really comfortable and explained everything in detail, after we left everything was fine and then we noticed one of our TVs had a button that didn’t work, I called Mario and he immediately ordered a new one. He is the best at what he does and I am going back to him in a couple weeks for TVs in my car. Thank you Mario and all of the premium car stereo staff, You guys rock.

First of all they are thief they stole my ax jack i know why poor job sloppy I came for a tint on my car after I check all had babble and not align and they don’t even clean the car there shop is really a mess stay away don’t know why they have good reviews it’s not legit review

they’re the epitome of unprofessional. they did a tint job on my car and left a puddle of brown water in my trunk, getting some of my clothes wet. they got water on one of my speakers, told me that the speaker was just blown out, and that they’d replace it for free. when I showed up to have them replace it, they said they would sell me some good speakers for $ 100 instead and wouldn’t just replace the speakers they destroyed.
they also put in an alarm. the way they wired my alarm system all fucked up to the point where it would drain my battery when I leave the vehicle off. when I asked about it, they had no idea what was going on.
they’re a bunch of kids with a shop. they’re absolutely clueless. never going back

Should have went with the comments this place had…
Got our windows tinted here, and it was horrible. We had to wait a long time ! Plus the work done on the tint was not what I was expecting… They cut my window at the bottom on two windows and cut the tint really poorly. For the price here is expensive for this kind of work …

As I was looking for car audio installment shops since I ‘m lazy to do it myself… I came across Premium Car stereo. I called them up and talked to the manager Mario and we set up an appointment the following day at 11 am. I showed up and gave him the parts that I provided and let me tell you. the guy is very knowledgeable when it comes to audio installments! There was no hassle and it was straight to the point! He struck a really good deal for me compared to other Car audio shops and it was great experience.
If you guys are ever looking for audio installments, tints, and other modifications you will not be disappointed when coming here.
I will coming back in the future to finish up my audio system and grabbing tints for my windows.

Got my windows tinted here on my car. They did a good job. Great service. Great price!

I came here to install a screen for my Subaru. I called ahead to ask about their availability and price. I really liked their price and that they were available during the time that I needed.
I actually had to come here 3 times to get my screen at 100%. The first time they did a great job but they forgot to install a bypass switch, the second visit they installed it but it still wasn’t working properly, the third visit is what really surprised me. After 2 failed attempts from the owners workers, they brought it to the back one last time. After 15 minutes or so, they drove my car back to the front and the owner, Mario, said that it’s done. I told him that I’d take it for a spin to see how it is, and like a Boss that he is, he said, ‘It’s going to work fine because I did it.” I took it for a spin and BAM! Perfection.
The parking here is extremely limited but they never got crowded so parking was never a problem. I do like their selections that’s available in store, a nice variety.
They charged me $ 80 to install my screen. I didn’t like that it didn’t work the first time around but Mario’s customer service is top notch which is why I’m giving them a solid 5 stars.

My remote wasn’t responding so I called Mario and he was happy to help. Ignacio fixed my remote fast and I can always count on these guys to giver quality service thanks again will recommend this place to everyone.

Was driving on Capitol Expressway and saw this place. The guy was friendly. I needed to get the tint from my front windows removed and he did a good job.

Car Stereo installation job — FAIL.
SUMMARY
Stereo — Vir-​7830 Soundstream
Car — Toyota MR2 Spyder
Request — Install the stereo into the car properly
Result — Didn’t fit as they claim it would. They had to restore the old stereo back to before.
Complaint — Poor quality service. They threw the old radio on my passenger side seat, and sharp end made a small rip in my seat. Refused to issue a refund since they mislead me. Instead, I was doubled charged and double taxed.
THE DETAIL.
1. I called these guys to asking for the cost to have stereo system into my car. They quoted me $ 35 (this was on the phone and was recorded). SOUNDS LIKE A DEAL!
2. I went there and showed them my stereo and my car. I asked them will this fit? They said yes but I will need to purchase a dash kit to make it fit. So I agreed to buy it from them. $ 35 more. SURE, SOUNDS LIKE A DEAL.
Everything so far plus tax is $ 85. (35+35+tax = $ 85)
3. They installed my stereo but kept talking to each other in spanish (as if I don’t speak spanish) implying how the stereo doesn’t fit. RED FLAG
4. A couple minutes later, they told me it’s done. I walked out to the car and the installation work looked horrible. The wires were not tucked in properly and was falling out everywhere. The LCD screen would not pop up all the way as it should’ve. RED FLAG
5. They said that I should’ve known it wouldn’t fit. Ummm, then why do the installation if it doesn’t fit? Plus, the box cover showed that it dos fit. RED FLAG
6. I asked them that this was done incorrectly, so can they please restore my old stereo back to what it was before. They said sure… for $ 85 more! RED FLAG…
7. Hhow does restoring my old radio back cost another $ 85? It’s not like I bought a new dash kit from them. They used all my old stuff to put it back. so why $ 85? So now they are making up rates. RED FLAG
At the end, my total charge was $ 188 (85+85+tax again) and I ended up with the same radio that i started out with.
$ 188…really?! RED FLAG
Shouldn’t they refund me the money since they didn’t do what they claimed? But they didn’t. Instead, they double charged me… incorrectly too. MAJOR RED FLAG.
Basically, I was mislead.
When you come here you will notice two things:
1. they say they are giving you a good deal but if you look up what they are selling you, you will see they are actually overcharging you. But there are no set prices on anything in the shop so there’s no way of knowing what anything cost.
2. there is a girl there name Arlene; she’s sweetheart. she deserves a star.

Late review but Mario had installed a stereo I purchased through best buy (I got it from there since it was a one day sale). I found this place on Unilocal since it was near by. I asked him for a cost and time estimate and it was about $ 120 for everything including the cables and black support case that goes under stereo. What really surprised me is that he even installed a microphone to go with the stereo and now it hangs next to my rear view mirror. Its a pretty cool feature that makes calling more accessible. Played some pool while he did the installation and it took about hour. Overall no problems and Mario got the job done.

I shopped around for over a month to get the best deal on my window tinting for my 2012 Dodge Avenger, I randomly seen Premium Car Stereo on the corner of Story & Capital and decided to stop and inquire as to a quote. The Owner Mario was very professional, efficient, specific and patient with my questions. I trusted my vehicle with them and came back in just a couple of hours to a completely new look on my car, I was in love with it! The tint job came out GREAT. He even gave me a great price on installation for 2 12’s I had as well as the tint, a basic package deal. A lot of the places I shopped around at only did one or the other, but Premium Car Stereo & Tint did both services for me in just hours. 1 stop shop. (literally)
Not that long after, I made a decision to trade in my car for a 2014 dodge charger, so of course this shop was the first place I contacted. Not only is it local, but the service and efficiency of the work done was good enough for me. The owner even gave me a lower price for coming back with my new car for them to work on! Again his team did a fantastic job on my car, audio installation and tint. One of the small back windows on my new car looked as if the tint didn’t hit the very edge of it, so I called the shop back, (I am very detail orientated and perhaps slightly picky since its a newer car) and Mario simply told me to bring the car in for his employees to do it again, free of cost. He honors his Warranties with no hesitation, argument or hassle. I simply brought my car back and within 10 minutes my car was finished.
I posted pictures of my car on the internet already just raving about my tint and how good my speakers sound– a lot of my friends inquired as to where I had went and so far I have sent 4 people to Mario at Premium Car Stereo and Tint and all of them were very much satisfied with the outcome of their own vehicles.
I will definitely be sending more business his way, 5 stars for this shop! Every time I get out of my car I always seem to look back and admire it now because of them! =)

Okay, so I went to Premium Car Stereo and Window Tint to have my car windows tinted. I already had my own tint pre-​cut and even had spray and squeegee. I just need someone with the expertise. I worked something out with Mario, the owner, to get the work done. After a couple of hours, I got my car back. I noticed right away a few imperfections and the inner trim was scraped up. It wasn’t that big a deal as I figured I was going to work on the car’s interior anyway.
When I tried to lower the left rear window, it went down but when I pressed it up, it shot right past the trim barrier and stuck out of the frame! I lowered it back down to inspect it and noticed whomever had worked on the car had cut the inner rubber seal! I COULD NOT BELIEVE MY EYES. Who does that? You don’t– under any circumstances– damage a customer’s car to make a job fit.
I called Mario (extremely pissed, mind you) and told him what happened. He asked me to bring the car in. He inspected the damage and like a champ, offered to pay for the repairs. I went and got the exact trim and had someone else install it and Mario reimbursed me. No problem. He didn’t perform the job so it wasn’t really his fault but me– as a business owner myself– I would have fired the guy. But Mario’s customer service and how he handled the situation was 5 Star. That’s my story.
I promised Mario that I’d leave a review. I admire the fact that he is trying to grow his business and he understands it’s all about customer service and referrals.
