Description

Specialties

I teach piano lessons to students of all ages from young children to adults, and all levels. I teach out of my home studio in the Basking Ridge neighborhood of South San Jose, which is conveniently located to Willow Glen, Almaden, Evergreen, Santa Teresa, and Morgan Hill. I’m a member of MTAC (Music Teachers Association of California), and prepare many of my students for the Certificate of Merit exams each year. In addition to private instruction, my students participate in Technology Lab, which allows them to work with software designed to make learning music theory fun and engaging. I strive to help my students become well-rounded musicians, with an appreciation of various styles of music, along with an understanding of music harmony, and with strong ear training and sight reading skills.

History

Established in 2009.

In 2009 I started teaching part time to earn extra income, but before long I realized that I enjoyed teaching music much more than my previous career. I quit my job and began teaching full time and am much the happier for it! I currently work with around 40 students a week and love it.
