Southwest BBQ cheesesteak was ok. It has an overwhelming amount of meat(as a cheesesteak should) but an underwhelming amount of flavor. For a sandwich packed with meat, it was only sprinkled with grilled onions and had only a thin spread of BBQ. However, it was a little less than 9 dollars, which is not bad considering how big the sandwiches are. Friendly and really quick service as well. If they were more generous with their sauce and toppings, I probably would have given a higher score!

I just ordered two Philly cheesesteaks to go with my girlfriend. We get home and we start eating them and we noticed how dry all the meat is. The meat is so dry and there’s so little cheese that it’s just inedible. They seasoned the steak heavily with black pepper and the steak didn’t taste like meat if that’s possible? Well it is and my girl friend said it tasted like dry leather. I hate to leave bad reviews but there was way too much meat that was over-seasoned that makes me wonder if they are using old meat past its prime covered in pepper so people won’t notice. Garlic fries regular and curly were both really greasy and salty.

This place is so good. Try the Philly cheesesteak egg rolls. Cheese Steaks are bomb. Love the sweet peppers in the pepper bar. Way better than authentic Philly cheesesteaks from Philly, imho. Better than Jersey Mike’s as well.

I have been here many times and come on occasion when I am having a «cheat» day. Sad to see they are under new ownership. My order was slightly wrong. Old ownership family were personable, energetic and just genuinely nice. I felt the new staff to be pushy and farthest from personable. Not sure I will be back… the fries don’t taste great today and my sandwich was a MESS before I took one bite. Tate? Not like it used to.

I’m so sad they are under new ownership and don’t have the cheesesteak rolls. I ordered a Philly’s House salad with steak and I get back to work and realize they gave me a chicken salad, yet my receipt clearly says steak. Not sure about the new ownership.

not bad for the price. servings are decent sized. Flavor in the philly cheese steak sandwiches is good.

tons of meat, meat was moist, but meat wasnt very flavorful. too much juice tossed onto the bun, so everything fell apart in my hand. pricing is pretty good. i felt like a fatty just eating the 7in one. garlic fries were good but the garlic was clumped together instead of mixed evenly

Meh! Disappointed. This place was crazy busy so I figured the food was going to be outstanding but it wasn’t. And I don’t understand how I can be #60 and #75 is getting their food and I’m still waiting. The cheesesteak egg roll is a good idea but it was greasy and 75% cheese with almost no steak or seasoning. On the opposite end of the spectrum the cheesesteak itself had one glob of cheese and was otherwise dry and seasonless. And the chicken strips were regular frozen strips but they must have dropped one because our 4 strips were really 3 with one broken in half. This strip mall is almost all restaurants. Next time I’d try the Thai place around the corner with the line outside.

Definitely a fan, and after trying the 11″ Original(which is only warranted if you want to save ½ for eating later) I will stop back in and order their wings; because if there was this much flavor in their basic meat and onion(no peppers), then their wings must be as tasty.

Skip wing stop and go here for chicken wings. They have just as much flavor selection as wings stop. Their wings are nowhere near as greasy as wing stop and I think they prices are better. Also their Phillycheese steaks are very juicy and flavorful

3.5 Stars. Their cheesesteake sandwich is ok. Their chicken wings are good, not much flavor to it without the dipping sauce. Overall, good place if you are in the neighborhood.

Das Essen war ok, kein spezieller Geschmack. Es gibt bestimmt bessere Orte. Das Wasser 4 free war irgendwie trübe. Besser ist wenn man eine Flasche kauft.

Philly’s for me is an above average eat just looking at the food. But their food hits enough good notes and the very friendly staff bump this up another star. I was served by this very accommodating Asian lady at the register — the small talk was great and for some reason I was reminded of a loving grandmother at a CHEESESTEAK shop of all places. The cook in the back was funny as well, throwing some vegetarian joke about the wings I ordered. And the«see you again» at the end made me want to, food aside. Now from what I ordered: the 10 inch original cheesesteak, plus a 10 wing combo(5 original hot, 5 garlic parmesan + fries and soft drink). I got Crush and iced tea, I’m not going to review their soda… The fries were okay. Probably frozen, they’re skin-on style like the kind you’d see at Carl’s Jr. The garlic parmesan wings were dry spiced, nice balance similar to a Wingstop wing. I like the original hot — a little more tangy than I would expect, but the spice level was closer a medium for me. All the wings were nice and juicy, and look forward to the other flavors. The cheesesteak is a monster in size, as everyone said before. I split my 10 inch over two meals. I think the white American cheese melts nice into the steak. Honestly a little more salt on the meat and the sandwich would be bomb — texture is these but not necessarily the flavor. Maybe this problem would be offset by toppings like mushrooms or bacon? Is it the best meal I’ve had from a cheesesteak shop? No. But I’m intrigued enough to come back and sample something else on the menu next time I’m around.

Stopped by here to grab a late lunch. I went for the 7-inch cheesesteak and the spicy cheese fries. Initially I thought about ordering the 10-inch sandwich but I’m glad I didn’t. Like other Unilocaler’s have mentioned, even the 7-inch is a monster. I think I would go into a food coma if I ate the larger one. It was good, but hard to rate it higher than 3 stars. Lots of meat, but like someone else mentioned I didn’t think it was seasoned that much — at least compared to other cheesesteaks that I’ve had before. Cheese was melted okay on mine. The spicy cheese fries are gooey goodness, but they are a nightmare to eat. Make sure you have a fork and plenty of napkins. Service was good — had my food in less than ten minutes. I would probably come back here again.

I feel strange reviewing and giving a good review to a Philly cheesesteak place that is located in California. Philly’s is a smaller establishment with a handful of seats and a pretty standard menu. There are wings(with various rubs/sauces to choose from) and a variety of cheesesteaks. My friend and I both went with the regular cheesesteak. A few moments later, our sandwiches arrived. Luckily we ordered the 7 inch rather than the 10 inch. THISTHINGWASMASSIVE! The roll was delicious and fresh while the meat was amazing and flavorful. We both only finished half and brought the rest back to our room. My one small complaint is their fountain soda machine. The root beer foamed all the way to the top of my cup and then onto my hand… Twice. Plus the flavor was a tad off. I’m thinking too much seltzer, not enough syrup. But everything else here makes up for the fact the soda machine was misbehaving.

They got a good variety of stuff over here along with some different varations of fries(lemon pepper fries, cheesesteak fries, spicy garlic fries, loaded fries, and etc…). I didnt get to try the cheese steak but i got a cheesesteak roll, which was an eggroll with cheese and steak in it. Very tasty. If ur wondering what kind of eggroll it mostly resembles, I would say it reminded me most of the eggrolls at Jack in the Box… at least for the shell and the inside reminded me of a taco bell griller i guess cept with steak. It was tasty as hell but for $ 3.25 its def a lil pricey since u get only 2… I think I woulda been happier if it was 3 making each a lil over a dollar instead of like $ 1.6 each. By the way you can ask for dipping sauce. I got the garlic cilantro and I highly recommend it. Overall, I will be back to try their cheesesteaks and give another update.

I think Philly Cheesesteaks are growing on me because I was never a fan previously. I came here one night with my husband and I was quite surprised at how much I enjoyed my mushroom cheesesteak. It was piping hot when it came out(with a little wait for the food), and the flavor was pretty good and not dry. I got the 7 inch and thought the portion was HUGE, but when I saw my husband’s 10 inch sandwich, I was definitely taken aback. But to my surprise, I finished most of it and he finished it all. With that portion and a side of sweet potato fries(very good as well), we left this place quite satisfied. Service was minimal, but friendly staff overall. And the food was piping hot when it came out, so that always wins a point or two in my book. If you come during dinner, there’s barely anyone here.

SOMUCHFOOOOOD! & so much fat kid. I can barely type this review i’m so full, can barely live. Well this was probably a bad idea but I ate here two days in a row. what I’ve tried: * 7″ Original Philly — so much meat, always a good thing — wish the bread was toasted inside, can be split with a friend for sure. * Cheese steak fries — good, like nacho fries pretty much. can be split between three people. * Jamaican Jerk wings — wings with jerk spice * Cilantro Garlic wings — these were good. * CHEESESTEAKEGGROLLS! — this was my favorite thing, must get a side of Cilantro Garlic dipping sauce. So this cilantro garlic dipping sauce, you can pretty much put it on everything, goes well with the egg rolls. I wish I had known about that sauce yesterday so I could have put it on my cheese steak sando.(°°) Anyway get those eggrolls and sauce = happy fat kid.
