I hired them from our pool rebuilders recommendation and am I SORRY I didn’t Unilocal them. To be fair, Larry was
the man I hired and he was good to deal with, but now I get this tool named John as the face of PFS. Believe me, all the negative Unilocal comments are true and honest. They offer poor service and John is a condescending jerk who could care less about customer satisfaction.
In my case, I noticed the PFS man was here and gone in under 10 minutes week after week and would leave an «all ok»
sticker on my door. My pool was to get
a full service every other week. That is brushing, vacuuming, basket cleaning, balancing of chemicals and checking equipment operation. The off weeks were just balancing water chemistry. So, how does all that get done in under 10 min? AND at 6:40am in the dark? I found that little or none of it actually was being done. But who’s to know at that time of morning, right? This went on for six weeks, so I fired them because of poor service. At the same time, I had the water checked – chlorine off the chart at 10ppm and phosphates at 1500!
I discuss this with that jerk John and he basically says «so what?» and «it’s too cold for algae to grow from the high phosphates anyhow» and maybe I should just go with another service company. I already fired him, so what did he care? But no «sorry we let you down» or any indication he gave a darn. Why he is still in business is a wonder.

They are a pool service that will not properly care for your swimming pool.

These guys make up phony repair charges, point blame when they get caught, and swear and yell when asked questions. Unreasonable, rude, no customer service at all. Avoid them.

Had the worst customer service experience with John (co-​owner). Avoid these people as they LOVE to give terrible attitude and poor service (the guys they send out often have extra friends with them that just seem to hang out). Give your money and pool care to someone else.

After a few months in our new house our pool pump broke so we decided on PFS to come out and repair if possible, we ended up having to replace our pump.
They were very prompt in coming out to evaluate the pump and letting us know it had to be replaced. We were offered a refurbished pool pump for a good price, which we were a little leery of doing but after talking to them for awhile they assured us it came with a one year warranty.
They came out and did the work and they did a great job installing it, they were prompt, did the work fast and great job overall.
The problem being about 3 – 4 months after it was installed it broke, so we called them up. They told us they never said that it came with a one year warranty, and they would never put that long of one on a refurbished pump. They then started quoting us options on other pumps.
Their service and work is great, and if they had followed through on the warranty I would have given them 5 stars. But to lie to us about a warranty takes them down to one star.
We went with someone else to get a new pump as a result of this.

We are fortunate enough to have a swimming pool in our backyard. For years it seemed as though we were fighting a never ending war, and the algae always came out the winner. There is nothing quite as depressing as the sight of a bright green swimming pool on a hot summer day. We thought we had a great pool guy, he would come and add chlorine and other chemicals to our pool. Things would improve for a week or two, and then suddenly you’d see the water take on an ominous greenish yellow tint and we knew the algae was returning.
Pablo told us we needed a new pump, so we bought one. Still the water turned green. Pablo told us we needed a new filter, so we bought one. Still the water turned green. When everything in the pool house had been completely replaced with the exception of the water heater and the water was still green Pablo told my husband he wasn’t brushing the sides of the pool often enough. My husband worked on the pool for an entire Saturday, he had a strained back and I had a headache from listening to him complain all day. .AND STILL THE WATER WAS GREEN! We took extreme measures and drained our pool, scrubbed it down, and then refilled it with fresh clean water, but by the following year the algae had returned.
One day when we were at a neighbors house we noticed that their pool was beautiful, it gleamed like an aquamarine jewel. Our pool was also a jewel that day, it’s just that it most closely resembled jade. They gave us the number for their pool guy, and even though we felt a bit guilty we called Arnulfo for a second opinion since we were at a loss as to how to deal with the algae problem. Arnulfo checked our pool equipment and since it was all brand new he said the problem wasn’t there, when we mentioned the brushing he dismissed this as well. The big problem? You guessed it the water pH was completely unbalanced and he told us it was no wonder we were having problems with algae. We went away on vacation and two weeks later when we returned home our pool was crystal clear and sparkling. This was two and a half years ago and now Arnulfo comes to our house every week to take care of our pool. We haven’t had a single algae outbreak since he took over our pool maintenance. Hallelujah the war on algae is over.
