This place is definitely a great place to go to learn about our history here in San Jose. All the antiquities, the details of the structure of the home, it’s all very informative. Everyone should see the Fallon House at least once, for educational purposes and historical appreciation. It’s not as grand as the Winchester Mystery House — but it’s also not as pricey either. There are alot of hands-on things for children too, so it’s a great family place as well as for adults to learn about our California heritage.

I went to SJ Founders’ Day Fandango & got to tour the Fallon House & Peralta Adobe for FREE. They no longer do the tours that often, you have to have a group of 10 or more & pay $ 5, but if you go to the Founders’ Day Fandango it’s FREE. Oh, I’ll go anywhere if it’s FREE& easy for me to get to. SJ is about 30 min from Fremont so I’m there. We needed a ticket for the tour. She said every half hr so I tried for the 1pm, missed it by a few minutes so had to wait for the 1:30pm. Fallon House first. It’s not very big. We saw the dining room, a square piano, then upstairs for about 4 rooms. Used to be a hotel — I guess it was destroyed. Kitchen, and some other rooms. Then we went to the Peralta Adobe which had only 2 rooms, but still neat. It’s one of the oldest Spanish structure in the downtown & still has adobe holding it up. There’s a bed in one room, some tables, & other stuff. Worth checking out both if you missed it this yr, there’s always next yr!
