Pappageorggeo Pizza

Darn.
The ownership has changed. I was ranting and raving to a friend who had moved in just down the street about Pappa Georggeo. I live about 30 minutes away from it now and hadn’t had it in quite awhile. We order a pizza and right as I open the box I know it’s not the same. The pizza IS NOT BAD, don’t get me wrong. But it is not the same quality by any stretch. I asked it for it well done, not so. The sauce used to be so amazing, now it’s plainer. The cheese is different and not in a good way. It also seems to be more expensive. So if you want a «good» pizza, come here. But my original review no longer stands.

So amazing. Have gotten the carnivore pizza and the Margherita pizza both absolutely awesome. Super friendly staff as well. I also got their garlic cheese bread which is yummy. Cooked perfectly and sauces so flavorful! So good.

The new owner is nice. The new owners changed a good thing. The crust is different, the sauce is different, and they are most definitely using cheaper cheese.
I guess all good things must come to an end :(for nearly 10 years I took this pizza to football games and parties and everybody loved it. Sure, the pizza was more expensive than a lot of places, but it was worth it. The pizza was an outstanding pie. With deep sadness, I know I’m being over dramatic, I am sad to say a great pizza place has died.

Pizza is great and we usually order for delivery. We have ordered from them 3 times and today when I called to order they said 3.7 miles was «too far» and asked if we could come pick the pizza up. Nope. They just lost us as a customer.

Have gotten the Chicken Carpelli twice and it’s very good. Replace the mushrooms with pepperoni in my opinion :) Wings are good and spicy. Need to try the Jalapenos next. Definitely recommend! Fast delivery.

The best pizza in town!
I ordered PappaG’s for the very first time and I have to admit, I’m hooked! We had the Formaggio pizza, which has; Romano cheese, Monterrey jack, cheddar and extra whole milk mozzarella! It sounds so yummy, right? Well, it totally lives up to its name! It’s cheesy, light sauce, greasy and dirty!
Because they have a minimum delivery charge, we ordered a slice of their cheesecake! Omg… Best split decision ever! It was creamy and flavorful!
We were told it would take about 45m, but our pizza and cheesecake were delivered in 19m! And the pizza was still sizzling hot!

I think management has changed. We used to pick up a pizza here every few months for the past 3 – 4 years but the pizza is definitely not the same quality anymore. I got my first clue when I called and didn’t recognize the voice of the lady/​gentleman who normally takes my order. She seemed impatient when I asked what the difference in price was b/​w a med and large pepperoni and cut me off when I was trying to add a salad to my order. She never asked if I would like anything else, just seemed in a hurry to give me my total and hang up. I was also charged $ 1.50 for extra sauce on my pizza. The spinach salad was good and fresh, but the pizza was soggy and undercooked and the crust was not as thick and crispy as the old way. 1 medium pepperoni and a salad came out to about $ 25.

Thanks Unilocalers! We had 2 pizzas delivered last night & were very impressed. Had a combo & a half pepperoni/​half Hawaiian. Ordered at 6pm, given a 45 min. deliver time which they beat. Driver was pleasant. Toppings were plentiful, cheese nice & melted. Price is reasonable.
Waited till today to review so we could try leftover slices cold & warmed up. Held up well!
Only downside was cheesecake slice, not too tasty.
Will definitely try again!

New Owner/​Management. I miss my previous couple. We shall see how the pizza fairs over time. We have been going here for 12 years when it use to be called Metro Pizza. I hope the new management keeps the pizzas with the generous toppings and great prices that keep everyone coming back.

I’ve been here many times now and their pizza is very fresh and tasty. I think it’s very comparable to Mountain Mikes and Round Table minus the price. Good pizza with a fair price

Stopped by for lunch as I remembered the decent Unilocal rating. Had the special $ 13.99 for a large Hawaiian. Devoured by 3 people. Good taste and fast, need to return too see some more exciting pizza combinations.

My all time favorite is the all meat pizza. They are not stingy with there meat. Big chucks of sausages, salami and Canadian bacon so good. Our family loves it. When I don’t feel like cooking I alway order here They delivery was fast. Tip these guys they are working hard in the heat to deliver your pizza.

I’ve waited to write a review because I wanted to give this place an honest review. We always order this pizza for delivery so this review is JUST on the pizza and pizza delivery. If I could give a 4.5 I would. But since I can’t my rating is a 4.
The best thing about a combination pizza, in my opinion, is fresh veggies! And Pappageorggeo is NOT stingey with toppings at all. The pizza is always fully loaded with veggies, and a nice selection of meats which include pepparoni, salami (I’m pretty sure that’s what it is) and sausage. We did have had a 2-​topping pizza once (a special that included wings) and hands down the combination pizza is the better choice. The wings were OK. Nothing special, and kind of made up for the missing veggies. Lol.
The delivery time is almost always less time than what they tell me on the phone which is a major plus when waiting for deliciousness. The only complaint I have that another Unilocaler mentioned is that the delivery person never has parmesan cheese or red chili pepper flakes! It’s like «Come on guy!!» I just gotta make sure I have my own here at home before ordering.
Give this pizza a try and you won’t regret it. *thumbs up*

Love the pizza’s here. I’ve never been disappointed, by the quality of my pie: D Good ingredients, great amount of toppings, never skimps on the amount of chicken per slice like domino’s or pizza hut, if you are in the area definitely get a pizza to go/

It’s a typical neighborhood pizza place that’s ideal if you don’t want to go far for pizza, and are tired of the Pizza Hut’s and Domino’s. The pizza itself is just okay, nothing special.
They always load the pizza with a ton of toppings. The sauce and cheese are meh. The crust is more on the bland side.

I’m always looking for a good pizza. I usually stick to my favorites but decided to branch out try something new.
I do love they have so many ingredients on their menu, more than most.
I got a Hawaiian type pizza. I noticed they have the typical conveyer belt oven and from my experience, the dough cooked in these is kind of flavorless which is what my pizza turned out to be. The saving grace for my pizza was the special Salsa Del Sol that they put in each box. This little package brought some flavor back to my pizza.
Maybe I just need to try another kind of pizza but that is just my experience.

You need to let them know you want cheese and peppers because driver doesn’t carry any
Also ask if they have any specials because they probably won’t tell you if you don’t ask

Swung by here to pick up a pizza for dinner. Ordered it and went there soon after as it was still being made. The guy working there was friendly. Crust wasn’t greasy and it was a little think but not overly, nice and soft.
If I was in the area, I would swing by again. They also have daily specials.
