I called this place today to get a quote on some work on a normal, single-​mass flywheel from an old E30 BMW 325i. It’s a normal single mass flywheel that takes a single disc and should be machinable by any automotive machine shop.
The person on the phone was pretty difficult to communicate with in general, and also immediately start insisting that the flywheel is «two disc». I eventually figured out that they meant dual mass (which is not the case for my flywheel) because it was a BMW and that’s what BMWs have. I started to try to explain that while some BMW flywheels are dual mass, not all are and this one isn’t, but they hung up on me before I could finish. I wasn’t getting rude or raising my voice or anything either. I was being patient and trying to explain the situation.
Man, I guess business must be good if they are turning away customers with such haste. I guess it’s for the best in the end, though. I don’t want a place doing machine work for me that doesn’t communicate well, they might not do what I ask. And I don’t want someone who thinks «All flywheels from car manufacturer X have flywheel of type Y» working on my flywheel. I’ll remember not to come back here later when I get my head work done.

I needed to get valve springs installed because I didnt have the correct tool. Lynn took care of it in no time and at a fraction of the cost of everyone else. Overall very fast service at a very good price. Highly recommend!

The worst service I ever had !!! This lady is very rude, no customer service at all, please don’t go to this place, it sounds like if going to be a little bit cheaper than some other shops but you going to end up paying more because they always going to say than your heads are not good anymore and make you buy a «new one», but guess what, they going to end up selling you your own heads. You can’t even talk to this lady, stay away from this people.

Unexpectedly I picked up another S10 project with a blown head gasket off craigslist. Took the head in to none other but Lynn. She quoted me a very fair price to rebuild it, and told me to come back in the morning. Later on in the afternoon she called me up and said this one was cracked.
I happened to be around the corner for something work related, and made time to pop in that afternoon. She showed me the crack, and explained that she couldn’t fix it. She had new heads available, but this is a budget build and I chose a rebuilt head. I paid Lynn her money and went to put the new head in my work van. All of the sudden I hear a ruckus and its Lynn yelling at me. I had accidentally given her a $ 100 bill in with the $ 20’s I had give her, over paying her by $ 100. She could have zipped her lips and I would have been out a hundred bucks but she stepped up and got my attention and recounted it for me. As long as Lynn is in business I’ll give her all of my headwork. THANK YOU LYNN!!!

They did a good job repairing the water pump housing for my 1980 Mercedes 300D. I had sheared two small m6 bolts and my attempts to remove them only made things worse. They salvaged the part successfully. Unbeatable price, fast and friendly service. Quality work.

Friendly, but they don’t do work on engine blocks. Had no recommendations on other shops to go to. They only work on cylinder heads. They should change their name to Lynn’s Cylinder Heads Only :(

Brought my car in because I had to get a cylinder resurfaced. It was quick and easy. All of the staff were very polite and had very competitive pricing.
If you need any cylinder work I would recommend this place for sure.

0 points from me .This is the Worst customer service ever, lady who answered on the phone was so impolite and unkindly, when I asked her to give me a manager or supervajzera she identified herself as a manager and owner, and even two times she hung up on me … I’ll never ever have a business with them

Competitive pricing, quick turn around, the place to go to for regular cylinder head work!

I bought a Toyota 3RZ engine on eBay, and when I installed it it had a head gasket leak… It failed the block check which showed exhaust gas in the cooling system. So it had a bad head gasket as a best case scenario… Worst case, cracked head, which is what was wrong with my original engine in that truck… A new head is really expensive, and I don’t really like the idea of a Chinese clone part in my Toyota… And the new Chinese clone heads cost almost as much as a used japanese engine did…
On the recommendation of the parts counter guys at Piercey Toyota, I called Lynn’s to find out what it would cost to check the head for cracks and resurface the head. Lynn’s is the place the dealership takes their parts that need machine work done. Over the phone I told her that I wanted to make sure the head was okay before I authorized any further work on it. She said «Of course, you don’t want to waste money fixing a part that is no good.»
After I dropped the head off, she told me to call back in a couple hours, and she’d let me know the status of the head. (There was a slight language barrier, but I had a good feeling about her integrity, so I left without so much as giving her my name… She told me to say I was the guy with the Toyota head when I called, and she would know who I was)
2 hours later, I called back. She told me that the head passed the crack inspection, and quoted me the price for resurfacing the head. Her prices were so reasonable that I ended up having the valves ground, and new valve seals put in as well. (I want the truck to live as long as possible, so I felt good about spending just a little extra to make sure everything was in tip top shape in regards to the head… She wanted to know if I would bring her the seals, since she would have to charge me a little extra if she had to pick up the seals… The total price for the work with her getting the seals was $ 150; very reasonable!
The head looks perfect, and I am very excited to get the engine back together and get my trusty old Toyota back on the road… The resurfacing looks flawless, as it needs to be with an aluminum head on a cast iron block… I would very highly recommend Lynns Auto Machine shop to anyone who needs machine work done. This was easily the best bargain I have had with this little project…
If I ever need machine work done on an automotive part, I will go to Lynn’s… Good people!
