LP Eggrolls

I think I’ve made about 15 total trips so far from San Francisco just to pick up a batch of these Egg Rolls. My fiancée family loves them! I love them myself too. I usually call in and let them know I’d like to pick up a small tray worth of Egg Rolls within 15 minutes.
I arrive and they’re already freshly cooked up just for me. They take cash only I think as I’ve always given them cash. They even let you know to hold from the bottom to prevent it from falling. Overall awesome spot!!! If I’m going to this place multiple times from San Francisco, you then know this egg roll spot is legit!

Was in the area and saw the great review this place had. Eggrolls for .75 and was it really good. We came at noon and it seems like they had already ran out of a lot of things. It was a bummer since we wanted to get some food to go. 1 star off for that and also because the eggrolls were sitting under a heat lamp but was not really hot. We got 4 and 2 of them was just warm, not a great way to enjoy a meat eggroll. Hopefully next time we can get here earlier to try some other things and some HOT eggrolls!

I effin’ love this place. die hard fan of their combination ham banh mi because the pâté is yummy and the pickled daikon and carrots are so flavorful! Oh and their eggrolls are amazing, so amazing that it doesn’t need sauce like other eggrolls. Been coming here for over a decade at their original location. I no longer live in the east side but I will always make the drive for them when I’m craving my usuals.

Couldn’t have been more pleased with their service and food. Food was ready on time and everything was smoking hot and fresh. The guest could not wait to ear even though I made them wait since the birthday boy didn’t walk in for the surprise. I ordered the small lotus salad, 40 eggrolls, large chow mein and medium fried rice from here. I had about 30 guest and everyone left satisfied and eating about 2 – 3 plates each (I ordered my fried chicken and spare ribs from another restaurant). The eggrolls were the first to go! I had one guest eat 9 to himself. Everyone at the party loved the eggrolls because of how much meat was in it and how much flavor was in them. The chow mein was also a favorite of mine because I’m a fan of thin egg noodles. Overall, I’m super satisfied with this place and will definitely be coming back for my catering needs.

I was searching on Unilocal a place to get eggrolls for a get-​together, and I stumbled upon this. It is far from where I live, but since I was around the area, I decided to get 20 eggrolls. I called in about two or three hours before I needed to pick them up, and when I picked them up, they were piping hot and ready for me. I paid in cash (CASH ONLY place!), and it was $ 15 at $.75 each. Fair price. I tried one, and it was delicious! The flavor was good, although the crust was a bit harder than it could have been. The eggrolls were definitely different than what I thought they would be, as they were mainly filled with pork. I guess it’s the Vietnamese type? The eggrolls stayed crunchy for a few hours, and I was pretty impressed by that. The size is okay, you’d probably have to eat around two to be satisfied. Good though. I would definitely come back more often if I lived closer, but now I have a place to go if I want to buy eggrolls for a party!

MEH! I was excited to try the Cha Gio (egg rolls) here but not very good and nothing special. It was fresh batch but not your normal Vietnamese egg roll. Disappointed with this.

I writing for the catered food. Order a bunch of items in their menu. Both gals who took order and deliver were super nice! However, I thought the food could be improved. Spring roll seems like the rice sheet was a tad dry — some of the rolls came undone. The noodle — looks like was overlooked. The lotus salad — didn’t seem to have enough jelly fish. The egg rolls were OK. The nem rolls was good. I tried them on advice of a friend but I food was OK but not great. In a side note, their bbq pork sandwich was pretty good!

Eggrolls and cha ca are sooooo good!!! My daughter and i drove across town for their delicious food!!!

These are some damn delicious Vietnamese egg rolls. Not to be confused w/​the egg rolls from King Egg Rolls. Chinese egg rolls contain 75−85% cabbage whilst Vietnamese egg rolls contain 90% ground pork.
To enjoy the egg rolls from King Egg Roll, you dip it in sweet and sour sauce. When you eat it when it’s piping hot then you’ll be in scorching heaven.
To enjoy the egg rolls from this place, you can cut it up on top of your vermicelli noodles and make that your main dish. You can eat it by itself like a snack /​appetizers.
Cash only but it is worth the ATM fee.
Parking is HELL.
Service was great and friendly.

Their eggrolls are good, for the most part there’s a lot of meat and it’s crispy but you can tell that there is a lot of added MSG. For 75c a roll for a big roll it’s not a bad deal. Their Cha Ca sandwich is also pretty good.
It’s a very small place.
Everytime I have ever set foot in there the girls are always blabbing away (more like shouting loudly at each other even though they’re only some 10 feet away from each other) and gossiping.

–bread soft not crunchy, not typical baquette
tasted a little sour,

–fast, courteious friendly service.
–cashier looked more samoan than vietnamese, size wise.

The best place to get eggrolls, cha ca, and Vietnamese sandwiches. Ever since I tasted their eggrolls, I can no longer eat eggrolls from anywhere else. They also have really good party trays at very reasonable prices. This is where I go to order all of my party foods.

I originally tried to order eggrolls tray at Long Phung for Xmas party but they were so pack that they dont take anymore eggroll orders so I had to turn to LP eggroll. Their egg roll aren’t to par with Long Phung. So I won’t order eggroll party trays here any more. I’ve learned my lesson.
Even though they are not as delicious as Long Phung but they’re still not bad. Kind of good but just not as good as the original store. That’s why I docked out the 2 stars.

I finally got to try LP Egg rolls and they are delicious!
I stopped by to order a small platter of egg rolls and I they are 75 cents each. I had to wait about 30 minutes for my order to be ready.
Everyone loved the egg rolls, too. There is a lot of filling and super flavorful.
Next time, I would call in my order.
This place is cash only. Also, the parking lot has a lot of tight spaces.

If you go to any Bay Area party or potluck, there’s a good chance that one person will bring a party tray of egg rolls. If you’re in the South Bay, there’s an even greater chance that the eggroll tray will be from the self-​proclaimed «King» of eggrolls. With numerous locations, solid pricing, and the ability to fill large orders, it’s no wonder that place is popular.
But for true fans of eggrolls, it’s pretty obvious that King Eggrolls, while satisfying the deep fried craving, falls short in a few obvious areas (too much vegetable, red sauce for flavor). For those of us that have had truly stellar eggrolls, whether the juicy, lean pork-​filled deep fried versions of Hong Kong or the meaty, vermicelli stuffed versions of Vietnam, there has to be a better option.
That’s where LP Eggrolls comes in. Specializing in Vietnamese cha gio (fried eggrolls), LP Eggrolls is the 2^nd location of the popular Long Phung Sandwiches and Food To Go on Tully Road. This location is a bit newer, a bit cleaner, and like the first one, specializes in food for all your party or snacking needs.
They do a large volume of business for party trays so you can rest assured that your eggroll orders will be freshly made and fried to order. Prices are even a touch better than King Eggrolls AND most would agree that the eggrolls are better too: noticeably meatier, filled with herbs and flavor, and not needing any artificially colored red sauce to dip in. We ordered several party platters recently and they didn’t blink at all. Our sampling:
Cha Gio — freshly made, freshly fried, and still hot upon delivery. They are very meaty and filling. Great flavor. I like dipping in sweet fish sauce although they serve them without any sauce needed for dipping. $ 0.60 each.
Guon Cuon — fresh spring rolls. Very good. Served with peanuts and hoisin dipping sauce. They look very much like nem nuong cuon with the large green onion sticking out the ends and were very fresh. $ 1.25/each/
Lotus Mixed Salad — served with slices of pork loin and shrimp. This pickled vegetable salad is cold and refreshing for the summer. There are pieces of jellyfish and tiny bits of cold pig ear for the adventurous, but this might not be a dish for everyone.
Fish Cake — the deep fried fish cake here are almost as popular as the fried eggrolls and for good reason. They are moist and tender, despite being deep fried. Very savory and flavorful. $ 0.80 each.
Banh Mi — although they serve sandwiches and they start at an incredibly affordable $ 2.50 each, this was my one miss here. The ingredients were a bit sparse and just couldn’t compete with the top notch sandwich shops very closeby, specifically Thanh Huong and Huong Lan. Stick with the eggrolls.
LP Eggrolls can do orders in as little as 1 hour before needed and is cash only.

So many great eggroll places in San Jose! (My other favorite eggroll joint is Long Phung Sandwich & Food To Go.) Order ahead if you have a large catering order. For party trays of 30 eggrolls or less, just bring your cash and wait the 10 – 15 minutes for the friendly folks to fry them up in real time.
Do:
— Expect some of the best eggrolls in town.
— Grab the tasty Butterfly sweet chili sauce from Thailand. The perfect complement!
— Bring cash; they don’t take credit cards
Don’t:
— Get the egg custard/​flan dessert. Looks much better than it tastes. Tastes like it’s mostly made from gelatin than eggs or milk.
— Come expecting a place to eat-​in. There isn’t any room.

MUST go to vietnamese place to order large food tray for all your family parties…
My mom would order her food tray here and make me drive to senter rd just to pick it up! Why?!? Because their Food is awesome!

And their vietnamese sandwich is good as well. Just taking about the food is making me want their egg rolls, I like it better than king egg rolls!

I have been eating too much of that other-​eggroll-​place-​that-​shall-​not-​be-​named and man what a difference this place makes. The eggrolls seem more hearty and full of meat versus just vegetables. True, this place is a little more out of my way. The parking lot is hazardous at best, rivaling a Ranch 99 parking lot to boot. We called in a large order (70 eggrolls) at around 8:30 AM and told them we’d be buy by 10:30 AM. They agreed.
We came by 10:30 AM and we got the sad news that it would be at least another 15 minutes. It took about 20 unfortunately for us (unfortunately because we had a bit of a time crunch). If you agree to a time frame, you should keep it.
Food was great, punctuality needs a little work as well as the parking lot. The service was friendly enough.

My go to place for every single event. Everything tastes delish from their eggrolls to their chowmein.
Something that I absolutely love is their battered fried shrimp. Their marinade is
! It’s more pricey but completely worth it if you love your guests :)
I usually order my trays the same day, and it’s never a problem for them which is awesome.

Being a SoCal girl, I’ll never understand all the hype around King Eggroll. King Eggroll to Vietnamese food is like Taco Bell for Mexican food. Egg rolls are not supposed to be filled with massive amounts of cabbage like that!
We all know the best egg rolls are the ones our moms make themselves. They’re meaty, well seasoned, and fried perfectly fresh. Well when you can’t have Mom’s fresh egg rolls or when you need to feed a crowd ASAP, placing an order at LP Eggrolls is the way to go! When ordering a party tray, they’re made extremely fresh and plump.
I threw a last minute birthday party for my dog (yes, for my dog haha) and decided I needed something cheap and quick to feed the human guests. I decided to make bun cha gio thit nuong (vermicelli with grilled pork and egg rolls). I was able to pick up frozen pre-​marinated BBQ pork for $ 8.75/lb to be thrown into the oven, and then a party tray of fresh egg rolls at $.70/​per egg roll. Headed over to Senter Market after and picked up vermicelli and various veggies, and all of a sudden, I had a deliciously impressive «homemade» meal for my party guests. Shhhh! :)
Need to know: Cash only and parking lot sucks (no, REALLY!).
