All our Lead Teachers either possess a Masters’ or a Bachelors’ degree with experience working with varying learning styles.

Learning Springs is committed to diversity and the communities and families it serves. We believe in embracing, exploring and celebrating the differences that unite us all, so that every child can take those experiences and make their way successfully in society.

Our staff is committed to helping children with special needs and specialize in working with children diagnosed with speech and language challenges, children on the Aspergers spectrum and children for whom English is not their first language. All our lead teachers have a minimum of a Bachelors’ degree and speak a second language. The languages spoken by our staff are Spanish, Italian, Tagalog, Hindi, Bengali, Japanese and Kore

At Learning Springs, we understand this and strive to provide a safe, therapeutic, nurturing and stimulating environment in which every child can thrive while receiving individual attention from caring and experienced staff. These are the pillars upon which Learning Springs is built to ensure success and confidence for you and your child.

Each classroom at the Learning Springs Academy is carefully designed to foster learning experiences while at the same time teaching each child critical skills such as social interaction, literacy and independence. We staff our classrooms with experienced, credentialed teachers who bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise when planning out the daily curriculum.

Learning Springs gives Silicon Valley parents the unique opportunity to provide their children with a preschool that truly represents a microcosm of the outside world

Meet the Business Owner

Lucia D.

Business Owner

Executive Director, Lucia D’Souza is responsible for the day-​to-​day management of the Learning Springs and oversees all components of the program.

Lucia has over 20 years of experience working in both elementary and preschool regular and special education settings. She spent 4 years as the School Director of a non public school in Palo Alto serving students with extreme behavioral and emotional challenges. She has thirteen years of direct classroom experience teaching in San Francisco and Palo Alto working with children of all ages with special needs.

Lucia also taught regular education in Hong Kong and worked with multi-​cultural families as she lived in a wide range of countries globally.

Lucia has a Masters of Education from Vanderbilt University in Nashville TN and a Masters of Science in Psychology attained from the University of East Asia, Macau.
