Just Ask My Friend

It doesn’t look like they have done any events since 2010 (looking at the website). One club that is still doing 60 – 80 events per month in the Santa Clara/​San Francisco area is events and adventures.

JAMF’s last event was awesome! The venue was really cool (Capital Club in downtown SJ) and provided fantastic views of SJ while talking to the other people in attendance.
There was even complimentary wine being offered. Many thanks to Maralynn for organizing a great event!

According to their website, «Just Ask My Friend events are all about ‘bringing your wing.’ Each single person brings one friend/​wing who knows them well and they provide a happy hour setting where you can engage with other singles and their friends/​wings.»
You register on their website with general info like name, email, and conversation starter. You show up to the event and your name tag is not filled out yet. They did have free wine and a few fruit/​cheese/​veggie dishes. A bar also available along with free coat check.
However, what a crock! There were about 30 women and only 6 men. Only two of which were under 40. Luckily the women were really friendly and the older gentlemen were entertaining. JAMF really needs to cancel events if they know the ratio is so out of whack. Luckily you don’t have to pay until you get there, but maybe they need to make people pay online to ensure they have men attending!
