We offer a variety of group classes, private in-​home training, day training, and Canine Good Citizen Testing using positive reinforcement methods. History

Established in 2001.

In 2001, I began running my own training classes. I took the initiative to develop class curriculums that would best help my clients to train their dogs. This is when I was turned onto training using positive reinforcement. Using positive reinforcement methods is highly motivating and produces fast, reliable results. It also produces happier dogs that want to work and please their owners.

I have a great deal of respect for Gloria and the way she trains people to train their dogs. When my dog wasn’t suitable for the class I enrolled her in, I chose to remove her. Gloria took the time to teach my dog on her own. Gloria was caring and full of useful suggestions. I really appreciated the time she took to help my dog and me.

Gloria has trained our pup since he was 5 months old. He’s really benefited from her training classes (puppy and juvenile). She works with dogs in class as a small group and individually when possible so that we could work on each dog’s particular issues. Gloria was great about answering email questions too. Next up will be her Outdoor Adventures course.

Gloria is awesome! She helped guide us in training our highly leash reactive dog into an AKC canine good citizen! Training your dog takes understand how to communicate with your dog and Gloria helped us to understand this. When we started, our dog couldn’t even be in a room surrounded by dividers with another dog, he would bark and go crazy. By the end of our second class he was well mannered and can now walk on leash without going nuts at another animal. Her classes are so fun, but just make sure to do all your homework (Gloria gives out great lengthy packets too). She does all positive reinforcement training, and while at times this method seemed to take a little longer with my dog, it really works. Gloria gave us the tools to help better show our dog what we expect and it really helped reinforce the bond we have with our furry little guy!

My husband and I found Gloria to be very experienced in dog training. Our class was held at a convenient location in Campbell. She also had an assistant with her. Both ladies were tender towards the fur-​students, and put forth helpful tips.

We had a great time. Gloria’s the bomb! Our dog learned a lot and we came away with a much better understanding of how best to handle her in so many different situations. We intend to be back for the next class. Highly recommended!

We had the pleasure of being introduced to Gloria in regards to a rescue dog she had been working with and wanting to find a new home for. Gloria was wonderful to work with and did a fantastic job of pointing out any downsides to the dog before we met him. Rusty ended up being a fantastic dog that she had done marvels with. From our short time together I could tell she knows what she is doing and cares a lot about the dogs she is working with.

Gloria and her helper Toni were absolutely wonderful to train with. They are very professional from start to finish and gave time and space to ask as many silly and serious questions as possible. I would highly recommend Hands on Dog Training to any of my friends and already have. The location is very clean, the instructors are always prepared for class and it was a great opportunity for us to get to know our pup in a new way. The advice and training techniques definitely take time but really do work. Thank you Gloria for working with our Duke and more importantly having patience and understanding with us as new puppy-​parents!

We absolutely LOVE Gloria Post! She really knows her stuff! I always feel like I got more than my money’s worth. Recently, we couldn’t come to our regular class due to a social obligation. Gloria met us at a time convenient for US. And we received over an hour of personal, one-​on-​one training. During our scheduled class session, there are just two dogs attending. Gloria has an assistant, Tony, who helps during the class. So we basically get private lessons every session! She has great tips and ideas and is just fantastic with out defiant puppy. I just can’t say enough great things. Call her!
