I don’t normally write reviews but I’m starting to get a little frustrated with this company. All of them were amazing. They were super helpful and upfront about everything.
Once the movers came to drop everything off a couple items were broken. I didn’t file a report or anything because they were items I could easily replace
The problem I am having with them right now is the fact that they didn’t deliver one item in particular and it’s really starting to p! ss me off!
It was something special and pretty damn expensive and now I get a feeling I’m never going to see it again which really has me on edge
I’ve emailed them MULTIPLE times called MULTIPLE times and it’s been well over a month and still NOTHING!
The first time I emailed them about the problem (Janice) she said she will help me figure out what went wrong and why I didn’t get my item. I was like ok cool! Made me feel better. That was the last I heard lol.
I’m pretty pissed off and for that alone I wouldn’t recommend this moving company. I don’t care how nice they were in the beginning if you tell me you’re going to help me locate an EXPENSIVE item YOU guys LOST then FIND IT!
Don’t just tell me what I want to hear and never speak to me again.
I WANT MY STUFF BACK!
AND. Just a heads up. As I was watching the guys unload our stuff to bring it in our house I saw them just throwing our stuff out of the truck. And witnessed them throwing out the box that had our large tv in it. I opened that box the second it got in the house and I am beyond thankful we bubble wrapped the crap out of it.
I am overall upset with this whole situation and even though it’s a cheap move. Is it really that cheap when you’re there replacing half the stuff you own because they aren’t careful with your stuff? And losing your stuff.

Luis, Francisco, and Valentin were doing the moving for us today. They did a great job to make sure our furniture got moved safely to our home with wood flooring. They were really nice and friendly.
Janice was really helpful in scheduling and answering our question.

Angel, Luis, and Willy were wonderful and made moving a stress free ordeal. They came well prepared and worked quickly to get us moved in a timely manner. Would highly recommend.

The worst moving company I’ve ever dealt with in my life. They hired irresponsible drivers that have no clue what so ever of what things they are delivering. My family had furniture delivered to me from CA to MI. First, the drivers dumped all our and someone else’s furniture to my house. I called them to come back to pick up what ever’s not mine. They came back the next day to pick up and took my dinning table legs with them. The driver lied and told me that he’ll ship it back to me. Nope, never heard from him again after 2 weeks. Called the company and took them for ever to send me claim information. Then the Anthem Claim management refused to compensate us because they see no fault to the moving company. So now we’re $ 700 out and without a dining table. Unfucking believable. Avoid at all cost. Lawsuit will follow.

I had a great local moving experience! Luis, Francisco, and Valentine helped us with the move that was seamless and took care of it all. They were very professional, on time, and assembled all furniture as per our request. I definitely recommend Gordon and his team for a great moving experience.

Great movers. Very communicative from the moment I booked them. They gave me a time frame and arrived within it. They called to let me know when they were on their way and worked very quickly. Larry, Willy, and Luis were very friendly and made sure everything was done correctly. Would definitely book them again!

Luis and Francisco were my movers today. They were easy to work with and very efficient on time and knowledge on what they were doing. Everything was wrapped and we’ll taken care of NO damage!!! Love that!

GEM did a fantastic job with our move.
This is actually our second time moving with them in the past four months. We made sure to use them after a really positive first experience.
Luis and Willie showed up at my apartment on time and moved a one bedroom apartment in a little over an hour. Everything was well packaged and handled with care, just like the first time.
We are going to continue to use Go East Movers for all of our moves going forward!

When moving these are the guys you need. I got several quotes and the best rate was from Go East Movers.
They just helped me move 2 hours away while my husband was at work the whole time so I had no other help. Four guys showed up with a truck and plenty of extra blankets, boxes, etc to help. They started working right away and man are they fast and strong — they’re also a bunch of really friendly nice guys, which took away a lot of my stress. They really know what they’re doing and do a fantastic job throughout the entire move from door to door. I highly recommend them and would use them again without even considering another moving company.
I’m adding to my earlier review because I am disappointed in finding some broken furniture after the movers left and the move cost twice what my original quote was. I thought I had such a good experience that I overlooked the cost, and gave a generous (in terms of what I can afford) tip. I’m really upset to find beyond repairable damage to my $ 400 tv stand, and the thing that upsets me most about it is that I was not told about this damage when they were here. They broke the stand and threw a bunch of packing tape around it to blatantly cover the damage. When I went to move the stand I thought there was just packing tape leftover so I removed it only to have the bottom corner of the stand fall off, making the whole thing useless since it can’t even hold weight without tipping over now. I feel so foolish that this was hidden from me and I just happily thanked everyone like an idiot. It made me think of how earlier I noticed that the back of one of my shelving units was cracked in half on the back and missing the bottom piece. I brought this to one guys attention and he said he was aware of that damage and they were going to tape it for me. Now I have some jenky looking packing tape across the back of my shelf. I looked past that at the time although I was surprised they didn’t tell me instead of waiting for me to bring it up. There was broken glass near the truck which I asked about and was told it was a piece in one of my plant pots. Fine, not expensive, but still — tell me about it instead of waiting for me to ask about one of my things. So in retrospect, I’m upset about not knowing about the damage ahead of time and now feeling like someone was trying to pull one over on me as if I’m stupid. I’m really angry about having to replace an expensive tv stand. We don’t have a lot of money so maybe my furniture isn’t the most expensive but just earlier today I had pieces that were able to be used and at least looked decent. Accidents do happen and I’m the type of person who easily looks past minor things, however it’s better to own up to these mistakes and say something instead of letting the customer find out later.

I was forced to give this place 5 stars since they offered a 5% discount (which amounted at about $ 60). They charged me over a grand to move what I would estimate at $ 600. Be weary of the extra charges. It’s ridiculous how much they slacked off. The «30 minute» break was timed at 55 minutes. I even spent 5 hours helping their lazy, useless @$$*$ (posteriors). Ugh! Do not use these lazy movers. Go west!!! Not east!!!

Angel, luis and Valentin did well — all arrived in one piece in less that 3 hours.
Came in slightly late. Would be useful to have a contact ahead of time, especially for Sunday moves when the office is closed.
All and all satisfied (1br, very short distance drive came to exactly 3 hours).
