Sorry it took me so long to write this review. I moved up from San Diego when I was 8 months pregnant and had called so many Obgyn but none would take me. Mainly bc I was switching insurance and also was due on Thanksgiving. One even said I would be a hassle to deal with! The staff at Dr. Giao told me that we take new patients, especially one who had just moved and is in need of a Dr. She reassured me with everything will be ok and that she specialized in insurances so just come in and we will worry about it all later! Wow! I won’t lie. I cried happy tears that day because everyone so far has been so rude and unwelcoming and I feared that our move was a big mistake.
Upon arriving at the office, the girls were VERY professional! They were discreet in discussing my insurance problems, plans, options, etc and my personal info. I’ve been to others who would blurt out your address from across the room. And Dr. Giao was knowledgable and mellow. (Just like my old doctor from San Diego!)
Well, to get to the point, the service and assistance that you’ll get here will make you feel like they truly care for each and every patient. And the girls in front are always so friendly, polite, and professional. To me, that is very important!

If you have LOVE for your self and your BITS, don’t come here.
My BFF CAME for an emergency thingy, so for moral support, i tagged along.
I did not like the way they used SCARE TACTICS to make you frighten stiff. They told her she is abnormal and it is likely cancer.
They refused to let her view her own test charts???
they TOLD her she needs more test and a biopsy. like NOW NOW NOW… yet continue to corner her right there for the copay just moments after told her she might HAVE CANCER???
VU will not hesitate to make you feel irrelevant if you ask questions that he does not in the mood to answer. He will say something along the line
«it’s nothing, you are younger than my youngest child…»
So Dear Doctor Vu… does it mean that my friend bits that you loped off is
immaturely diagnosed too?
These people obviously did not care much if you are sick or scare. Just pay up and say good bye to your bits.
They are also shady because they won’t take visa, check, and you get discount for paying CASH.
We walked out of that place upset, scare the first time and the second time pissed off because it turns out she is normal, it is just a hormonal change.
And lastly the «COPAY» was $ 365.00 and she has BCBS-​PPO Platinum!!!

I have no problem with Dr. Giao. except he is hard to talk to, I feel uncomfortable when I want to ask him something. I feel like he doesn’t want to talk. My daughter was delivered fine. but I was in pain as hell for 5 months. he don’t want to extend my EDD, so I have to go to work as regularly. anyways, i think it is better to get a lady ob, she will understand you better.

Bad doctor, bad customer service rude charge of exam $ 450
I had very experience in this office. I came back for check up. They charge my copay $ 40 and later send me the bill of $ 265 for diagnostic. The doctor do nothing. No Urine test, no exam test. Just try to kick me out for 5 minutes. Oh yes, you are pregnancy, I ask how long. He don’t patience to answer just around your last period 5 weeks. Charge to my insurance $ 130 and still asking for diagnostic of $ 250. That was crazy charge total charge $ 450 for doing nothing and said the exam. Either I go to ultrasound pay cash is $ 100. This is nothing charge $ 450.
Don’t go to this place anymore. The doctor not patience and rude charge fee. Every where need fill out EDD for form is free. This place charge $ 5 for each page. Not welcome doctor office. Only money and money… Even you give them health insurance card and they check already ask for co-​pay, later bill bunch of invoice of crazy amount.
How people can believe this place anymore.

My wife & I had our 1 child here. The staff is super friendly & the doctor is very knowledgeable. Dr. Vu has been in the profession for over 20 years. We have nothing but good things to say about the doctor & his staff.

Love him he’s the best! Had the best visit ever. the nicest staff I got seen right away it was no problem I loved it! Can’t wait for my next visit

Today i received a lovely telephone call on my business line from Dr. Vu’s office asking for my Girlfriend by name asking if she could pass along medical records of a fake patient. The call didn’t make any sense to me and I offered to have my Girlfriend return the call. The voice on the other end then proceeded in trying to get my SSN to look up a medical record. Not sure what’s going on in this office other than a blatant/​lame attempt at identify fraud.

Dr. Giao Vu is amazing!!! He delivered both of my princesses. My first was breached so I had to have a C-​section. I was scared going in but it went very smoothly. My scar was barely a thin line and even the nurses at the hospital compliment how great it look. He is a very busy doctor because he’s well known and respected in the Vietnamese community. Despite this fact I was never kept waiting at my appointments. I love that because that means he also respect your time. You would be lucky if you have Dr. Giao Vu as your doctor. Your baby would be in great hands.

This review is for Dr. Giao’s staff. They are absolutely horrible. This is my second pregnancy and I initially chose Dr. Giao to be my physician. During my first trimester I had horrible nausea that caused me to lose 6 pounds. At one point, i could not even hold liquids down. I called his office to tell them what was going on and requested an appointment with Dr. Giao. The receptionist refused me to give me an appt and even went as far as to tell me that eventhough I was throwing 4 times in a hour that that was normal and that I should relax. I eventually had to go to the ER because i continued to throw up any liquids i consumed. I was given an IV immediately because of dehydration and was sent home with anti nausea medication. I went and found another OB immediately after this because eventhough Dr. Giao is an ok doctor, I just couldnt deal with his staff any longer.

He delivered both of out boys in 2007 and 2009. The whole process was smooth and efficient. He is a kind and professional doctor. Definitly recommended. And his first name is Giao.

I honestly think this place sucks!!! I guess unless you are asian you are not welcomed there (i have nothing against asians in fact i like them very much)…Everytime we went there the Dr. seems to be in a rush to get you out of the office.
The receptionist has an attitude problem and the other has no clue what she is doing (but i think that is just because she is new there). While we are in the waiting room the employees behind the desk are speaking in their language the entire time and it makes you feel as they are talking s%#t about you…
Twice we had an appt and when we got there they told us the doctor had left, yet they did not take the time to give a call to notify us of the situation…
Bottom line… THEY SUCK!!!

So I booked an appointment for Dr. Vu to get my first Pap smear.
His receptionists are very nice and quick with any paperwork.
He’s very calm and professional though very curt. He was nice enough to chat me up to curb my nervousness but the exam itself was very rough. He did the pap smear first and it was painful. I’m not quite sure how thorough he is supposed to be but I was in the room for little more than 5 minutes before being rushed out. This was early in the morning so there weren’t many people there.
Overall, it was a slightly unpleasant experience.

I came in for my initial appointment, but the doctor had been called to the hospital for an emergency. no big deal, i went home for a while, this is very close to my house.
the majority of dr. vu’s patients are vietnamese, as far as i could tell from my observation of his waiting room that was full and his wall of baby pictures.
dr. vu is not that young. i’d guess he’s in his late 50s? he mentioned that i am younger than his child. he has a calm and quiet manner. i felt very comfortable around him.
they have a sign on the front desk that says cash only. i was concerned and asked them if that meant i couldn’t use my HSA checking account for my co-​pay. the girl behind the desk said that wasn’t a problem, they just preferred that people not use checks, as they get a lot of bounced ones. they don’t accept credit cards.
the office is clean, but it’s not fancy. they have lots of printed pieces of paper posted on the wall in vietnamese and english for things like lutesse (an eyelash regrowth prescription) and something about vaginal rejuvenation. the speculums were in a plastic tub of disinfectant on the floor.
i have no complaints.

Dr. Vu is a sweet, kind, and professional Doctor. I have always recieved the best service from him and his staff. Whenever I had an appointment, I was always seen within 10 mintues. Most of the time I was seen immediately. I really like the card that they sent us to congratulate us on our son’s birth, I thought it was a nice gesture!
