This park is not the most updated and it has no bathroom(that I saw) but it was a 4 for my kids. On the small side, partially fenced. No swings and tanbark ground cover. Street parking only, a bit of a walk to the playground. However, my kids 2 and 4 played for an hour!!! I walked laps on the side walk that surrounds the playground and they played. Zip line required some assistance but there are 3 slides, 2 big steering wheels and climbing features. Benches near buy and big open field for running. Beautiful old trees.

This is a great park to bring the kids for the playground. The equipment is only a couple if years old, is in good condition, and gives kids a fun place to play. There are sidewalks that meander through the park amongst the tall redwoods. Along those is a par course for exercising and stretching. The grassy area is HUGE mostly because it is backed against Miner Elementary’s grassy playground. If school is not in session, feel free to use that side which has a baseball backstop(no infield dirt, though). Minus a star for the occasional kids that drink and use drugs at night. They are easily hidden by the large mound if grass at the corner. Mostly minus a star for SJPD for a 1.5−2.5+ hour response time to these kids, especially when they are having a large party and making a lot of racquet at 2 in the morning. However, the park loses the star since the park suffers. Overall, a beautiful, spacious, fun place to take your kids, dog, or just yourself!
