At Familiar Surroundings Home Care we go above and beyond the industry standard when it comes to care for our clients. All care is customized and supervised by our RN/​Care Managers to ensure the best quality. Caregivers are carefully selected and screened that include criminal and DMV background checks to meet our high standards of care. We conduct ongoing monthly trainings for our caregivers on a variety of topics which give them opportunities to learn and grow in the every changing world of home care. Clients can choose 2 – 24 hour shifts or anything in between, 7 days a week. Familiar Surroundings Home Care is family owned and operated allowing us to be flexible and adaptable to the needs of our clients without franchise restrictions. We are here to serve you and your family members with the best possible care available at a moments notice, just give us a call, our dedicated staff is available 365 days a year!

Locally owned and operated. Familiar Surroundings was built on a philosophy that quality care begins with a trusted relationship between our clients and our company. Laura has spent most of her career in the health/​home care field. Most recently, she was the Vice President of Operations for a home care agency whose services spanned Northern California. She has had the opportunity to work with and get to know many local health care providers over the last 10 years and is a Certified Senior Advisor. Laura looks forward to the opportunity to provide a home care agency which focuses on bringing back old fashioned values and making clients and caregivers her number one priority. Born and raised in San Jose, Laura has been married to her husband Michael for 25 yrs., they have three children.
