Excellent products and service!
Our bedrooms have a lot of windows and the sun exposure was generating so much heat it was unbearable. We already had window blinds, but they were no use.
We had ERS install solar shades and retractable awnings and they cooled the rooms 15 – 20 degrees. The difference was night and day.
We have also been enjoying our outdoor space a lot more with the awnings.
The products aren’t cheap but they are great quality and the service is second to none.
Ask for Mike Enany. He was our sales consultant, and he was really awesome to work with.
He went above and beyond on more than one occasion to ensure we were completely satisfied.

We decided to make our back porch a dedicated workout area and get the various pieces of exercise equipment out of our family room.
Concerned that the heat of the day during summer and the cold during winter months would discourage us from working out, we searched for options that would keep us comfortable year round.
We looked at sunrooms and an add-​on but they would all cost too much and change the footprint of the house.
We went to a home show to get some ideas and met Mike Enany who showed us some photos that looked very much like what we had in mind. We made an appointment for Mike to come out and make an assessment and a recommendation. After we talked, we decided to go with European Rolling Shutters. Yes, they are expensive, but perfect for our needs. We could have saved some money by not making them motorized but that would have been a hardship to pull down and roll up manually since they were so heavy (15′ length).
It took a couple of weeks for them to manufacture our shutters and we were called to make an installation appointment.
Oh, my gosh… I have never had any kind of installation go so smoothly. Richie and Junior came out right on time, assessed the best access route (these blinds are long and our walkways around the house are uneven and narrow) and brought the blinds through the living room and through the sliding windows right to the back porch.
They did some measurements and gave us an alternative option to hooking up the power that would look much nicer and more discreet than I had thought possible. What I ended up with was a tiny stucco replacement patch on my wall which I can paint to match in a flash. The installation is almost invisible unless the shutters are down and, if they are up, you have to know that they are there because you would not notice otherwise. The cover is sleek and fits into our décor.
Mike came out as well and helped them put the blinds in place. There was a ¼″ difference height between the two sides of my deck and, after some discussion amongst the three of them, they shaved one of the tracks so that the difference would be virtually invisible.
I am thrilled.
When I saw the shutters in place and they showed me how to work them, I realized that I actually have a bonus room now that can be converted to an entertaining area at the touch of a remote button. I can open the slider from the family room to the porch (or the windows in the living room) to share in the air conditioning and heating from the house when the weather outside is uncooperative. I can also roll the shutters down when the gardeners come by with the blowers or when it is raining. I even have extra space to put up some tables when relatives come for the holidays. Plus, the shutters will keep my house cooler in the heat and warmer in the cold. Another bonus is that the shutters in the down position act as an additional barrier to home intrusion.
Now, the value becomes more apparent to me.
I love these rolling shutters and now know why I’ve seen them on houses in Spain, France and Italy.
The installation took about 4 hours and the guys cleaned up after themselves and wiped everything down that they had touched. I love that they treated me and my home with respect.

Great company to work with. .. . We purchased one of their awnings 12 years ago and use it regularly during warm weather (maybe 6 months out of the year). The mechanism and fabric held up great. Yesterday, a small, hard plastic part used to retract /​extend the awning broke — not surprising, given how much we’ve used it over the years. I went down to ERS to purchase a replacement part. Someone helped me immediately, located the part, and gave it to me free of charge, even though the warranty on our awning had long since expired. I’m very pleased with the quality of their product and their customer service. If you’re in the market for an awning, you should definitely check out ERS.

European Rolling Shutters recently installed an awning and a solar screen for us, and we’re delighted with both products. From start to finish, the service couldn’t have been better. Everyone (the office staff, our salesman, and the installation crew) was very knowledgeable and great to work with. Our salesman Mike was incredibly helpful. Before we made a buying decision, he arranged for us to visit a previous customer nearby so that we could see how the awning would work and look. We were stuck on which fabric to choose (there are lots of choices!), and Mike’s advice helped us choose a fabric that we love and looks great with the colors of our house. The awning and shutters were ready even earlier than expected, and the installation was scheduled quickly and completed in one day. The solar shade has reduced the temperature and glare from the afternoon sun. Since the awning was installed, we’re able to sit outside nearly every day on a patio that was previously too hot to use. Both the awning and shade seem sturdy, and they operate smoothly and quietly. We’re very happy with the results and the overall experience, and would definitely do business with European Rolling Shutters again!

We needed a retractable awning for our new house. When I called, I promptly got an appointment with Yahid, who was very professional and a pleasure to work with. The awning was ordered, promptly made and installed perfectly. This is a quality product and staff and we are very happy.

We have just had our new retractable solar screens installed on our back yard pergola. First of all, ERS fabricates a well made product. It exceeded our expectations. At the first meeting with Vahid, who walked us through the process, measured and completed the sale, to the installers (Jose and Dustin) who came and completed the installation. The whole process went smoothly. I would recommend ERS simply for the integrity of their company standards. The employees who represent the company were great. A job well done!

we were looking for European shutter with 100% blackout and this is the only company in south bay that provides this product. The owners are Germans and their product and service definitely match the German engineering standard (my husband is German: p). We use it for our two sliding doors to the garden. It provides great security as well as 100% light blocking. Yes it is in general a very pricey option for shutters but in our opinion definitely worth the money, especially with the service ERS provided. We are considering to use it for our windows in the bedrooms in the future and will definitely use them again.

We loved our shutters, install was pretty seamless and they came back without complaining (or charging) to fix some nit-​picky issues and even replaced a part because I wasn’t completely satisfied. I was a little surprised at how the raising and lowering mechanism looked on the manual model but it ended up being fine. We LOVED having these shades and miss them so much after we sold our house — there is nothing like sleeping in without being disturbed by the sun’s waking up. Hope we can afford them on our next house!

We have had our European rolling shutters for approximately 12 years on all the windows and sliding glass doors of our home. This has probably been one of the best home improvement investments we made.
Not only do the shutters keep the house cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter, they are great for crime prevention. The shutters are a deterrent to burglars and makes you feel safe whether you are in the home or on vacation. They have helped cut down on outside noise as well.
We have shutters that are operated on a pull strap, an electric wall switch, and a remote control and we are happy with the functionality off all of them.
This is a family owned and operated business and I can’t express how wonderful their customer service is. We have had the company out for several service calls for maintenance, cleaning, and a re-​installation after a stucco and window repair. The service people are all very competent at what they do.
European Rolling Shutters owners go above and beyond to make sure their clients are happy with their product. This is very important to us. The shutters are expensive and might discourage people from making the investment, but over the years we are certainly glad we did.
