Our Center is conveniently located in West San Jose, near Campbell. We serve children from 6 weeks old (Infant Program) to 5 years old (Preschool Program) before entry into kindergaren.

Our well thought of programs support an eclectic philosophy which include play based, high scope, emergent, discovery and developmentally appropriate practice. We believe that children in our programs will have a variety of learning opportunities that foster each child’s development in the aspect of physical, social, mental and emotional development, so it is our goal to tailor activities to the children’s abilities and interests.

From our Food Preparers to the Directors, we understand that each of our roles is to be interconnected with the children, their families and the community. We are committed to encouraging play, discovery, experimenting through carefully chosen activities along with emergent learning to have each child be an active participant and learner. Our teachers are trained to participate as partners and mentors in the classroom, helping each individual child to develop into responsible and caring members of the community.

Our teachers are educated in the field of Child Development and have many years of childcare experience. Most importantly, they are kind, nurturing and patient and treat each child like their own. We strongly encourage parent participation and truly believe that parents and educators should be partners in raising a child.

History

Established in 2014.

Community First School, San Jose is a sister school of Community First School in Sunnyvale. We opened in November 2014 with the goal of continuing to provide excellent quality childcare for the San Jose community.
