I drive all the way from Los Gatos just for soybean dessert with durian. Such a treat on a hot day. Love it!

This was my first time going to Coco’s because I don’t live close around the area that it is in. I usually go into Cool Tea Bar, Pekoe, Tea Society, etc. I was just running a couple of errands & I happen to see a milk tea shop, so I thought why not give it a try? I only ordered Thai tea & popcorn chicken and it took 25 minutes to make? Are you kidding me? Other than that, the popcorn chicken is pretty good. However, the Thai tea tastes a little watered down. I’d probably come here again only for the popcorn chicken.

I only come for their snacks. I’ve given their drinks a try and its just not the best thing they offer. Popcorn chicken, fried calamari and some vietnamese snacks are good here. Service is just okay.

Everything I’ve tried so far had been good — pretty good for a quick snack and tea.

Seriously, can the owner hire a better cashier? Because the short black hair with glasses girl is going to ruin your business regarding how good your foods or drinks are. She seemed upset with HERJOB. If she doesnt like to serve customers, please stay home, dont bring your customers’ mood down with your terrible attitude! Never again! Bye! Let me know when she is no longer there we might then reconsider…

I received such TERRIBLESERVICEFROMTHEGIRLWEARINGGLASSES(12/29/2015) at 1:00pm. I asked for a pink bag to carry my condiments and utensils for my popcorn chicken and she just was like«I already gave you a brown bag for your popcorn chicken». Well then? I love this boba shop but if you act like that, please be aware I am not returning and supporting establishments like this. Everyone else has been nice, but her? No. I’m sorry, was I not polite enough? I said please and thank you and you just roll your eyes and gave me attitude. I refuse to come back. I don’t care who you are, but you’re straight up cold.

I actually love this place, been a while since I have been in that neck of the woods. So this CoCo place by Berryessa is a great place to hang out with friends and drink some pearl tea and snacks. Now, they sell pearl teas and snacks(fries, calamari, and etc.) Vietnamese-style, meaning the taste has a bit of a Vietnamese seasoning too. I love it! The reason being is that everything you need is there food and drink wise. Plus, they have nice couches to sit back and relax to watch Vietnamese/Korean pop/American music videos which always make me laugh… most of them are funny love songs! So sit back, relax, drink some Thai-tea, eat some french fries, and chicken nuggets Vietnamese style!

I ordered a Thai tea. Not hard to mess that up right? I was wrong. Their Thai tea is disgusting. Did not taste anything like it was suppose to and drinking it made my throat hurt. It was way too sweet and I’m the type of person who orders drinks with 100% sweetness. Never coming back here and would not recommend to anyone.

ok, drinks way too sweet, food was burnt. i don’t think they cleaned the grill before making a new egg waffle. idk what to say about the service, but sanitation i question since a lot of other Unilocalers mentioned about finding steel wool pieces, plastic, feather, etc.

This place is super dirty. The whole place is filled with cockroaches, the tables are dirty, the floor is filthy and the employees are pretty rude. I would recommend staying away from this place because of its dirtiness. This one time I was here ordering a drink I saw a cockroach near an employees face and they just saw it and walked away. Everclear needs to come to this place and do an inspection and possibly get this it shut down

The milk tea is bad. Pearls are always stick. Not too many options on topping. They uses Jasmine tea and different syrups to make different types of tea. All I taste is jasmine tea. Banh trang tron is not mixed well. I always have to go to the rest room after eating banh trang tron here. Service is bad.

The best banh trang tron ever! !!! This is one of the few places in san jose that offers this item. When i order, i usually request for less peanuts and more dried shrimp. if i dont, i find that the amount of peanuts they include becomes quite overwhelming.

Excited to check out the spot. Small and a bit crowded so we assumed it must be good. We three placed an order, Popcorn Chicken, Mango Tea and a Taro Smoothie. Brought out my ATM/VISA and were told CASH only. We walked away disappointed to say the least! No where was their a CASH only sign but pasted on their front doors as we exited were the Visa, MasterCard accepted stickers. I guess this place is CONFUSED as a previous Unilocaler mentioned afterall.

I think it deserved 2.5 stars. This place seems a bit confused as to what it’s trying to be. It’s a cross between a weird ice cream and boba place, asian karaōke night club, and a vietnamese snack joint. There’s always an odd smell that lingers too. The boba tastes like powdered sugar, and the pearls are always stuck together. That being said, the snacks aren’t bad and its open pretty late compared to some other boba places, so I’ll probably go back. It’s also next to one of my favorite phở places. But for good boba, I’d recommend going to the ShareTea 5 minutes away, Black Pearl 8 mins away, or JasTea 7 minutes away. (Can you tell that I like boba?)

Just got this banh trang tron from them and all i can say is that this is a fraud. It has no sauce no taste whatsoever. This is not the first time i order this from them but this time when i come home and open the box the urge to bring it back and get my cash back is just overwhelming. With that they dont put anything in here but the fried onions it looks like they ran out of supplies or something if they do they should have inform their customers. Anyway, this is huge disappointment

Their supply of boba did not satisfy my cravings or expectations of boba. I am very disappointed with the customer service, very poor and I believe they did not treat the customers well just because we are not Vietnamese. I understand they are closing within the hour, however, you are still a business so if you keep your professionalism. They also did not make sure their drinks were mixed thoroughly. My friends and I ordered a honey milk tea and saw their bottom was filled with syrup and powder. I was very disappointed. Also the cups were not sealed properly. There was a hole in it and as I shook my cup, it had spilled on me.

Pretty small and very Vietnamese type of store serving up boba drinks, snacks and desserts. I came here with Janet O. after watching a lovely feature at the California Theatre in DTSJ and it totally hit the spot since we were looking for a spot with some snackage, easy drinks that wasn’t too loud. Ordered the Mango Milk Tea with Pearls and to snack on we shared the Garlic Fries, Calamari Heads and Chicken Gizzards. The milk tea was pretty good, good size and pearls were an okay texture. The Calamari Heads were really crunchy, the gizzards were whatever to me and the Garlic Fries were made with raw pieces of garlic which I wasn’t a big fan of. It gave the fries an overwhelming heat because of it’s rawness. Order at the counter, pick up and sit at one of the tables. Don’t expect full on service here, it seems family owned and also seems to have a lot of regulars. I believe there may be a minimum charge for card(don’t quote me on that). Since it’s Vietnamese(Asian) I’ll just say, be safe and bring cash.

(+) Banh Trang Tron(Rice Paper Salad) I was pretty excited to try this place after hearing so many reviews about this snack and I was pretty pleased with it since I haven’t had it since forever. The dish was exactly what I expected(except they put way too much peanuts…). The only thing I was disappointed about this dish was the«quail egg» that they put on the side. If you glance at it quickly, you can mistaken it to be squid balls. I mean, quail eggs aren’t that expensive to buy. so I don’t know what kind of substitute they used for it because it tasted way too artificial. (/) Corn Salad. My friend and I wish that the corn was more crispy(like how it is in Vietnam) but they probably used canned corns so it’s hard to get to the right consistency. Not bad of a dish(same ingredients as the rice paper salad except it’s with corn). Way too buttery for my taste because I can actually taste the lingering butter flavor… Overall, not bad but the rice paper salad is better! (/) Milk tea. My expectations weren’t too high for the milk tea because I hate pre-made milk tea. However, my jasmine milk tea wasn’t too bad. It was definitely refreshing and even though it’s pre-made, I can definitely taste the tea. It tasted similar to Bambu’s jasmine milk tea. The boba was also cooked perfectly. I wish they added coffee or honey to their boba to add a bit of flavor to it. (+) House Fries. I surprisingly loved this dish. It was probably because it was my first time having fries with sour cream but it was delicious(: The customer service was amazing! It took super fast for us to get our food(it was also wasn’t that crowded). The server also brought our food out to us when we were sitting outside and even brought spoons out for us as I was about to get up to get some. I don’t particularly like the area. It’s pretty dead at night and dark everywhere around. Definitely not the best boba hangout spot.

Brought my fambam here after having our phở cravings satisfied, it was a couple of doors to our favorite noodle house and thought to check this place out. We were amazed how the interior looks like for a coffee and tea place. It has that cozy leaning to the romantic feel which isn’t what I was expecting from the outside.( )( ) So we went in to purchase a bunch of drinks after going through their menu list( ) We had to take a while to make decisions since we were experiencing food coma from the noodle house(it was our favorite as I mentioned). Anyhoo my brother got the vietnamese cold milk tea, cousin got taro smoothie with pearls, daughter got the strawberry smoothie with pearls, mom got something that I –dont remember and then I got the durian-tofu dessert drink — as recommended by the counter guy. Seriously if you have not tasted durian… THISISNOTFORYOU… durian looks like a jack fruit but doesnt taste like one. It has that punget smell that would either make you run away in disgust or stay out of curiosity(or prolly your experiencing an olfactory sensory defect!). It is what you call«an acquired taste». For me, I have experience tasting the fruit in its raw form and I am still curious enough to try some more in a form of dessert drink. And being the nice Unilocaler that I am I am sharing my experience with you. The taste was not subtle. on the first sip you would know its durian… the tofu makes its more silken and thus add to the texture of the dessert. I would have preferred something gummy added to it next time tho just to take my mind away from thinking that am drinking somewhat like an expired milk which a fruity ‘composition’…LOL( ). The fruit adds to the sweetness of the dessert so not much sweetener was added to it… The ice is a nice touch for the hot weather. Over all the drink is just A-OK… 2.5 since the interior was very nice… I’d try more of their snacks next time…(hmmm squid heads and that rice paper salad looks nice)…

The set up looks cramped, but comfy. The TV is placed on the little wall space they have. Their music television is probably streamed or a really bad satellite, kept freezing. Service-without-a-smile. I have to be really happy at work, and I don’t even see customers face to face. So I tried, and kept trying to smile at the cashier… LOL man, she could freeze the entire ocean with that stern, non-emotional face. Pineapple tea milk tea was good. But my ice was lacking… melted so good I had like 2 – 3 little ice left in it, I was at the counter too for pick up when I noticed it, not even walking around! I don’t know how popping bobas are made… but I had a lot of wilted popping bobas in my mouth, not the round juicy surprise I would get in my mouth. – parking bad. – the place also smells like fish? fried fish? Nothing a milk tea place I’ve ever been to smells like it… so weird.
