Casa De Mini Storage

I have had a storage unit here for 4 years. It has been great! I love the family own storage places. It is secure, good priced and we’ll run and kept up. Manga ent lives on site securing the site. I highly recommend!

This place is kinda a pain in the butt.
Their hours are awful. 10−5pm on sundays? How am I supposed to have a full work schedule and work with these hours? When you want your stuff, you dont want to wait for an employee to wake up on a lazy sunday. 6 pm is an okay closing time for a computer programming job, or a manufacturing job, but storage places should be convenient to customers.
The employees act like dealing with customers is a chore. I’ve had way better experiences at nationwide storage/​box stores.
The boxes are overpriced. You know you can get cheaper packing supplies elsewhere.
One time my unit apparently needed to be broken into due to a maintenance issue and it was a pain to get my key to the new lock they put in.
The only good thing is my unit can be easily driven up to, and there is usually not other customers in the way. They also have personal security entry and exit codes, which I believe is typical.

Just had the greatest experience. The office staff greeted me and walked me through getting my storage. They knew what size I needed just by a description of the things I needed to store, and then proceeded to show me a couple units so I could see for myself. I have seen there commercials at games and thought how great to see a family owned buisness. The security looks great, and I am glad to know the have such good staff to keep watch over my things.

I’ve had a storage unit here a little over a year now. This place is a good as a storage unit facility can get.
The people who work there are friendly. It’s easy to get a car close to any unit, even though mine is upstairs. Much cleaner than some other storage facilities I’ve been to and it’s very secure with the cameras and gate. Makes me feel a lot better leaving my stuff there.
Be sure to mention the TV ad to get a special rate (These are the people with the stupid ads during the sharks game).

Stopped by to check out getting some storage. Lady behind the counter barely had a pulse… no one there but she seemed not wanting to help. Then she snapped… Please dont go over there ! Oh i forgot… storage = fort knox.
Mgmt. … Put customer friendly people at the front desk… just a tip.
Im going to public storage to give them my business !!

People give Casa De Rip Off 5 stars because they have a gate and surveillance cameras so you feel that your belongings are being protected, but shouldn’t all storage facilities have these ammenities especially when you end up paying what you do at Casa. I give it 2 stars because of the clean facilities and that’s it. I wish I could give them more stars for the cheesy Shark commercials they do but if anything I should be taking a star away for that nonsense.
So to the meat and potatos on why I would not recommend them for anyone trying to hold on to their savings. The intro price is good but if you plan on staying long term they WILL hike up your monthly fee gradually in small increments so it’s not noticeable at first them before you know it your paying double the amount you initially started with. Oh and don’t be late on your payments because when life happens Casa De Crap Hole doesn’t. After a couple of late payments even if your chipping away at it they have a very warm and welcoming way of letting you know on «Friday» they’ll be having a storage auction «yep that means your sh%t» and it just so happens it’s on the day your payment is due. WTF! That’s business I guess! And lets say if you DO pay your late payments they still take their sweet ass time taking the lock off your storage so you can get to your belongings. If I pay you I expect access to my stuff at the same time.
PLEASE DON’T GET ME WRONG!
I’m not doing this review out of spite or anything of the sort although it may seem that way by my tone. It just pisses me off how people can and will take advantage of you when they got you against the ropes. I’m doing this because I’m not a fan of how they do business and I’m just trying to protect anyone who is considering them as a potential storage facility.

This is my very first Unilocal review… I’m sharing this because I am extremely happy with my experience, and after trying another storage facility, realized just how good they really are. Yes, they may be a little bit more expensive… but the location worked best for me… and it’s very safe and secure. The layout is great… with no parking or traffic issues. There are plenty of carts available. The facilities are extremely clean and well maintained. You can tell that the family who runs this business is very proud, and they pay attention to details.
I live in a condo, and don’t have a lot of storage for things like holiday decorations, winter gear and extra «stuff». The hours are very convenient, and I know that I can swing by there 7 days a week.
The staff is very friendly and always available to assist… although I’ve rarely needed them.
I have been a customer for more than 5 years, and have referred friends and family. I have used several different sized units… as my needs have grown over the years. There are several options to choose from… although they are often close to full capacity. My guess is that there are many happy, long-​term customers here… and for good reason!

I have been using Casa De Mini Storage for about 5 months and I feel like my stuff is always safe and secure. It’s centrally located between 87 and 880 on W San Carlos street. I rent a 5×7 storage unit and feel that there’s enough room for all my seasonal clothes, christmas tree, snowboard etc… On top of everything the storage unit and facilities are clean — which is always important because I have high standards for these types of facilities.
The staff is very kind and attentive to my needs and the hours are convenient for my work day. I would definitely recommend Casa De Mini as a storage unit service because I have never had a bad experience with the service or storage security.

I was a happy customer at this place for several years. Last month, my credit card account was hacked and VISA closed my account and sent me a new card. So, my autopay didn’t work. I got a threatening letter from the storage company and I went in the next day, explained the situation and gave them my new VISA number. They waived the $ 20 penalty.
This month, they tried to run my old number again, despite having the new account number. Of course, it failed. They sent me another threatening letter. This time, when I explained that the error was theirs, they refused to waive the penalty charge. I cleared out my space and cancelled my account.
If you are too pigheaded to admit your mistake, and it is worth $ 20 to lose a long-​time customer, I would rather do business elsewhere.

5×5 or 6×12 or the largest in the neighborhood. I don’t know but I do know that for the deal of $ 99 for a 6×12 to hold all my junk is just that… a deal right by the elevator too. I am literarlly packing away my life here and I could not have asked for 1) nicer people to lament my woes too 2) a better deal to store stuff I am not sure I will ever use again 3) they remembered my DAD! I kid you not, they opened in 1976 and my family moved here in 1977 where we had to store a piano, a car, and a whole freaking house.
Now because its family owned they can’t offer me a job but, I am willing to be adopted.
So if you have to store it store it here reasonable rates and good hours and they are green… you know solar panels not just the paint.

Pretty much the same as all storage places but does have a gated entry which is important, although, again, not very unique/​special. Main reason for a low rating is because I was quoted a monthly rate of $ 70 on the phone but when it came down to the signing the contract/​agreement the cost was actually $ 80 a month. A small lie surely, but a difference of $ 120 over a full year so I was pretty disappointed by the bait and switch since they obviuosly know very well that once you show up with a truck load of stuff you aren’t going to change your mind and leave over a $ 10 white lie, right? Try and find a more trustworthy site but GOOD LUCK!!!

Bad service, didn’t wanted our business, we called previously to tell them we will be there, they told us they will wait for us, we got there one minute before they close, we had the truck full, and they didn’t care, they just got more important things to do, than getting business… with all the situation how can someone say no to business… another couple that they where getting out agreed with me. dint go to this place … they don’t care… they have more important things to do, than taking 5 minutes for customers…
