Burr Plumbing & Pumping

Jason, Dave, & Eric all have great attitudes and do excellent work. However they are overshadowed by the poor customer service and bad attitude from Julie at the office. She is condescending, and if she doesn’t agree, or like what you are saying, she will simply speak right over you, interrupt, and try to force her point upon you. It is only because of Jason, Dave & Eric that I continue to call them. I only wish that Julie would be sent to some form of customer service training. I’ve been led to understand that she is in a relationship with one of the top persons there at Burr. That would explain her attitude towards customers. It clearly seems as though she feels free to do and say whatever she wants with little if any repercussions. Please note that this is not the first posting with Julie’s name listed.

My tenant was complaining that they only stayed for 35 min & gone, didn’t do anything, but they charged for 3 hours work. So, I asked them for the job detail report showing how long they stayed and what they did at the site. The woman whose name is Julie said it showed up on the invoice. But, it only showed 3 hours work, not in detail. So, I asked her again who was the technician, so that I can find out the details. She hung up the phone, and called me back in 10 seconds, and SHE SAID THEY WILL END THE RELATIONSHIP WITH US, and they did not give me any information for the work, and just want us to pay 3 hours job (she never listen to what I am saying) and HUNG UP the PHONE. What a Jerk & stupid way of handling the Customer request. It doesn’t make sense to me at all that they do not have any job details done as logging.
Please be away from this Guys !!!

Wow, what a disappointing experience. We asked Burr to fix a leak under our kitchen sink and install a new water filtering cartridge. The plumber was polite and efficient and everything seemed to go well. I commented on the murkiness of the filtered water after the installation and we both agreed it would probably clear over time as the filter was used. Unfortunately this wasn’t the case and I called Burr back and explained the problem. I was put on hold a couple of times by a very polite woman and then told I would get a return call.
My call was returned by an individual whose sole agenda was to avoid a truck roll to my house. He spent 10 minutes trying to pin the blame on everyone else (cartridge manufacturer) and eventually got to the same place — they did their job, the problem wasn’t with their installation and I would need to pay another $ 120 for them to asses and fix the problem. I asked how he can be so sure the problem isn’t in the installation? How does he know without looking at the job that the problem «isn’t our fault»? I hung up the phone in frustration and i will be using another service to re-​install our filter.
This company does not stand behind their work and the concept of customer service is entirely foreign.

Watch Out!!! They will mistinterpret what the job is to be and then charge
you for other work also. They did not have the proper tools in the service
truck and wanted authorization to get the drill and charge us for it. That
means another hour just to get the tool that should have been on the
service truck — whta kind of service truck is that if all the tools are not
on the truck???
Charge $ 450.00 for 3 hours of work and still have a clogged drain!!!
Never again will I use this company…

Jason Nankivell from this company was in my neighborhood at another house. I walked over and talked to him about a problem in my house.
The guy has a great attitude.
He explained what he thought the cause of my problem might be and suggested what I could do myself to correct it. (I’ll leave such work to the experts.)
For his company to fix my problem he quoted me the company rate of $ 110 per hour plus parts.
Based on Jason’s attitude and helpfulness, Burr Plumbing will be my first choice to consider for work on the pipes in my house.

Just called to have a faucet replaced in my residence. The told me they only perform commercial work, for businesses not residences.

I am also a plumbing contractor and I use Burr Plumbing for all of my service work I just don’t have the time to get to. They offer all different types of service work from fixing toilets to hydro jetting sewer/​storm drains. They have always treated me fairly when it comes to money and they always have someone who will show up to fix anything within an hour. Great service. I will continue to use them.

Burr Plumbing gets hired by the City of San Jose when the city pays for a plumber to come in your house and fix a problem, when the city is responsible to pay for the fix.
The guy from Burr Plumbing who came to fix the problem in my house was nice and worked quick.
A couple of days later the problem reoccurred again.
The city told me they’ve done what they could sending a plumber and let me deal with Burr Plumbing directly.
Burr Plumbing told me that they won’t come in unless I pay them for the extra services. They were maintaining that now it is a different problem — with the backflow valve, then the one they fixed already. They won’t even come to take a look at it unless I commit to paying them.
I opened the box with the backflow valve and saw the problem was in the valve.
The issue I have, and the reason for the low rating, is that Burr Plumbing won’t stand behind their work. Any other plumber would come and fix a problem for free if it reoccurred a couple of days after they had taken a look at it.
I’m also perplexed by the fact that they can diagnose a problem without even looking at it, and don’t respect the information a customer is giving them which points at a different problem.
