If I didn’t Have to give one star to complete
this review. I would not Even give one star.
That’s How BAD the installation of 2 glass doors in my Home was.
I will NEVER use Brothers again, and strongly advise You don’t
either. Terrible workmanship. The sidelights don’t lock most of the
time. Nothing is straight. Looks Awful. :(

Love our new windows. We worked with Roch who was super responsive. He understood our needs, gave us his suggestions and in the end, got us exactly what we wanted. The whole transaction — from style selection to design to delivery to installation was very smooth and hassle free. With the number of fixes getting done at our new place, this was one of the easiest, with zero frustration. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

We recently used Brothers Home Improvement for all the windows in our home. One window came with a broken pain, and I cant fault them for that, and the other problem was they ordered the wrong kind of door for my back door slider. Not sure why they missed this but the fact remains they did not have the right door to get the building inspectors approval.
They were supposed to expedite the replacements for these 2 areas and get right back to me with an ETA for final delivery. Well after 4 weeks and no communications from the company I had to call them. They then decided it was a priority.
Why it took them that long to come to that conclusion I have no idea. The guy made an appointment to meet me at my home between 12:00pm and 1:00, so I left work to meet him there. Well at 12:55pm he calls me and says he’s just leaving San Jose and he’s on the way. I could not wait all day for this guy, so I called my sales guy and ripped him for this poor service commitment.
After going round and round and then getting a call from the owner trying to address the issue he decided that wasting my time was worth something I guess, so along with apologizing makes me a personal promise to buy us dinner as his concession for wasting my time.
To summarize he made that promise twice and still has not fulfilled his commitment even after I paid my bill IN FULL just like we promised.
I have been in sales 40+ years and I know from years of experience that your only as good as your last commitment to deliver. They did not deliver when an owner gives you a commitment to deliver.
If I would have taken that approach when I started my career in sales I would not have lasted 4 years, let alone 40+.
Good luck Brothers you will NOT GET referrals from me or my family.

It don’t write many reviews on Unilocal but this is a case where I feel compelled to do so. My wife and I hired Brothers to install a sliding door to replace our aging swinging door. Although the installation met applicable codes there was an unforeseen issue that made the door difficult if not impossible for some members of our family to use. Brothers staff and senior management were understanding and patient with our concerns and resolved the issue to our satisfaction. This is the definition of excellent customer service. Sales and installation staff were friendly and courteous and the installation is professional and now works great for our family!

We just had our new double paned windows installed yesterday & we we have never felt so comfortable in the six years we have lived in our condo as we had old original single paned windows which were leaky & plain poor. Tom, the estimater who came out innitially, is very friendly, easy gpoing, no pressure, very kinowledgeable, will answer any questions, & definitely gets to know you a bit. I love how he brought us out to his truck & showed us small replicas of windows & held them up so we could see the difference in how they compared to what we had as far as keeping out heat in the summer & cold air in the winter. Tom was very thorough in taking innitial measurements, leaving nothing to chance. Greg, who I think might be the owner or another estimater, came out to do the final measurements & was very corgile & even removed his shoes upon entering. He was very thorouugh with the measurements like Tom. We did have to wait a month-​in-​a-​half for them to be manufactured & an additional mnonth for the installation as these guys are the popular ones n& I am sure people getting ready for winter. Fastforward to yesterday, the installers, who’s names we did not get, were very nice, on time, & helped us move a few things. They vacuumed as they went along & did a great job from having no problem with our shudders as they hjust had to open them & not completely remove them to maticulously cutting out the old windows & frames to caulking the new ones & pthe same with the new padio door. They got it all done in a day. It was very reasonably priced & I would recommend them to anyone needing new windows & padio doors. So, for excellent windows & padio doors with top notch service & installaation at reasonable prices, Brothers cannot be beat. Keep up the good work guys.

From the sales through the installation, everyone was knowledgeable and helpful. I received several estimates from the window specialists through the big box stores and Brothers was competitive and flexible. Everything was as described, on time, and they even fixed our screen door for free when our German Shepherd went through it.

We worked with Michael Cavana and the really tall guy (Byron?) who did an awesome job measuring all the weirdly shaped windows in our house. I talked to other windows people prior to Brothers, and we felt comfortable with Michael right away. The installed windows look amazing and the house is quieter than before — can’t hear the local school noise anymore.

Brothers installed my windows and one patio door over 10 years ago. They have weathered the weather well. When rain slammed into the patio door there was no leaking. The windows and door look as good as new. The one time I needed a lock fixed Gregg came out and repaired it within a day.
I called them back to install my last large patio door this year and with the Queen Anne inserts looks stunning. It really opens up my garden. Had a little problem with the screen door. Gregg came over and fixed it also fixing my other screen door lock that I had replaced by another company. My cats had ruined my screens on my front windows. I was delighted when I came home to find Tom their salesman had them repaired and installed. The only negative was the attitude of customer service when I called to get the screen adjusted. She was quite rude and even though the patio door was only just installed said I would have to wait more than a week but as mentioned above Gregg came promptly to take care of it. Their prices are very competitive. One of the best contractors ever.

We had the Brothers windows installed in December 2014 to replace old Aluminum windows. The sales and installation process was excellent. So far, we are really happy with the new windows. A benefit now in summer is that the house stays much cooler with the coated windows.

I gave them a 3 star based on the initial visit to give me an estimate on only two windows to replace. Tom initial visit would have been a 4 star but after his visit I had a few questions I wanted him to respond to. Rather than call, I emailed because I wanted a written response to determine if any additional cost would be incurred based on my observations of what had to be done. No response so I emailed again and said I would go to their office to get a reply. I figure this would prompt him to respond but still no response. So cudos to those who have experienced good customer service but this experience left me with a negative vibe with this company.

Excellent customer service. The windows that came and looked like any other white vinyl windows but once installed, it made such a huge difference to the feel of the house. It stays much cooler during the day and at night, the house cools down quickly when the windows are open. Much more comfortable inside the house. The windows all come with U-​factor around 0.29. The bigger windows are slightly higher. The solar heat gain coefficient are around 0.22. Security is improved as the visibility transmittance from the outside is 0.49 and it’s almost mirror-​like when standing in front of it. The house is also much quieter. The biggest props is that they installed a window with the wrong grid pattern because the manufacturer sent the wrong window. Greg and Tom reordered the right window based on our order and they came back a few weeks later to remove the window and install the right one. Javier is a pro installer. Very careful and tactful. Nothing is rushed and measurements are made 3x over to be sure before he cuts to fit. Rigo is another pro installer.
Nicole with customer service is also excellent. Upon checking the windows, I found one of the sash to have a partial broken top rail. I emailed her and showed her the photos and she sent a new sash with Javier when he came back for the reinstall. It’s all very professional.
When we shopped for windows, we looked at several vendors and chose brothers because of the quality of the windows. They showed us the cross section cutout of the window frame: much beefier and stronger than competitors.
We are happy and will be glad to be a reference for them to our friends and family.

Had Brothers install replacement windows installed 6 years ago. They’ve held up great and continue to operate smoothly. The caulking around them windows appears intact and we’ve seen no sign of leaks (of course, it would have to rain for there to be a leak…).
One thing I’d note: The white vinyl gets dirty fast. The bottom tracks where the windows slide have gotten kind of grungy over the years on the street side of the house (ugh — we’re breathing that). I think the solution to this is to clean them frequently, not once or twice a year like we’ve done.

We are in the market for new windows, and heard about Brothers through our NextDoor neighborhood website. Many people in my neighborhood had used and liked them. My husband and & got their address and just drove over to the showroom on a whim, without calling ahead. The showroom had tons of parking and we were able to see the different brands they carried. Michael was so kind and helpful, I believe he is an owner, and took the time to explain all our options. He didnt mind that we just dropped in, and actually took a percentage off our quote since we werent using a sales associate. You seriously could not find a nicer guy to work with, and the quote for top of the line windows was less than expected!

I have been sitting on this for a while and didn’t want to write a complaint. Especially with all the five star ratings this company has. However, I get more and more irritated with the sound quality of these windows each time I hear the gardeners in our neighborhood. It feels like they are right outside my windows… with the windows open. Yes, that loud! What’s the purpose of having double pane windows besides good insulation?

I have been in many homes with double pane windows and as soon as you close the front door, all the outside noise is muffled out. I was even in a home directly across the Caltrain station and the rush hour train sounds were immensely shut out with the doors and windows closed. I began to question the quality of my Brother’s Windows.
I dealt with Butch and Greg for my project. They were wonderful to work with and I decided to give them a call thinking they would be just as helpful even though they have not heard from me since the installation. I was given a few excuses and quickly brushed off. They offered no remedy to my problem. Not even a visit to discuss some possibilities.
I am so disappointed with my decision to purchase Brothers Windows. I honestly can’t understand how they received all the great ratings. I feel like my problem is the only one! So why didn’t Greg take the time to help me?
Give it some thought if you are looking at Brothers Windows. Do your research! I hope this post will help other people. Especially if you’re looking for quiet. Their ads say «noise resistant». Not the case. I paid $ 12,000 and expected to have windows to be both energy efficient and well insulated sound.
Sorry Brothers… I really didn’t like writing this post. 1-​Star only because I had to enter one.

I recently got my windows replaced. My friend recommended Brothers, so I called them and another company for quotes. Both quoted me Anlin windows, but Brothers’ quote was couple thousands cheaper. When I called the other company and told them I am not going with them, the manager dropped the price to, guess what, exactly what Brothers quoted me. I said no thank you and called Brothers right away.
After measurement, I was told it would take about 4 to 6 weeks to manufacture the windows. But it only took them 3 weeks to call me back and say everything is ready to be installed. On the day of installation, 3 installers showed up on time. They were friendly and worked really fast. The whole job took them about 7 hours to complete (two story house, 14 windows).
I have to mention this. One of them accidentally knock over a solar light in my front yard while he was carrying a window. No big deal, it happens, and the light is only about 8 bucks. He apologized and promised to buy us a new one. We thought it was a nice gesture but really never expect him to follow through. 2 weeks later I got a call from them saying they’ve bought the light and wanted to come over to replace it, and replace they did. I think this story tells it all.

Terrific, terrific, terrific! Brothers Home Improvement was the absolute best company with great products for replacing all of our windows and doors — over 30 in all. From our initial consultation with Bart to our installation crew to the folks back in the office — this company provided an all around outstanding customer experience for us. We would highly recommend calling Brothers if you need to replace windows or doors — it’s all they do, and they do it extraordinarily well. It took only two days to install all those windows and doors, and we love how they look and work. We live about 80 miles from their location, but they drove the distance to work with us. Thank you, Brothers, for your terrific service and products.

This review is long overdue! We had our new windows installed this past November and we couldn’t be happier. Bart, our salesman was terrific. Very knowledgeable, and he gave us a great quote. The girl that schedules your appointment was very pleasant
and the installers were two of the best service people we have ever worked with. They were fast, clean and extremely professional. All and all a 5 star experience from start to finish, and they look beautiful inside and out! We highly recommend Brothers.

We recently decided to upgrade to double-​paned windows. I used Brothers based on the positive reviews I saw here and was not disappointed. Bart measured our windows, provided a speedy estimate, and helped us navigate the HOA approval process.
When it came time for installation I was nervous but the guys made everything easy. They were on time and extremely courteous. No complaints here — I would recommend Brothers for this type of project, for sure.
