I let Eric and his crew use my driveway to take down the neighbor’s tree. The guys moved stuff around, left trash all over from their lunch, and my hidden house key disappeared. It cost me $ 276 to get all the tumblers changed on my locks (doors and security doors). Erik wouldn’t pay for it, and says it’s my fault for letting them use my driveway. So much for being insured! He wasn’t around when the guys were doing the work, so he doesn’t know what happened.

I called Erik for an estimate on trimming a couple large trees and removing a dead tree. I was given a very good price for the job with no haggling. The work was performed as requested with no damage to my house, fence, deck, A/​C etc. My property was cleaned and all debris was removed. I’m 100% satisfied! Thanks guys.

A fantastic company! We worked with Eric. He was extremely flexible with making an appointment to give an estimate and continously worked to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. Mid job we had changed our minds about what should and should not be cut, how much should be cut. He was extremely patient and handled everything with professionalism. The crew worked fast, safely and cleaned up everything. Extremely impressed and would highly recommend!

We’ve had a couple of dead trees on our property that were long overdue to be taken down and every time another news story about El Niño came out, I panicked a bit more about one or all of these trees coming down onto our house this winter.
Eric’s crew was FANTASTIC, his bid was totally fair, the crew showed up the very next morning on time, they worked their butts off not only cutting down the dead trees but removing by hand a lot of deadfall wood on the ground. They had to work on a hillside and around utility lines too and did it all without any problems. They brought a chipper and a stump grinder and took care of everything from the tip of branches on down to the roots.
I especially appreciated their attention to detail: they set up sheets of plywood to protect my car from any possible flying debris and their crew cleaned up all the dirt left behind on the driveway and street by the treads of the stump grinder: I didn’t have to ask, they just took care of it all.
Love these guys, would definitely use them again!

Eric and his crew just finished a job at my house and I am very satisfied. This was a very large and tall stone pine tree growing across the property line and jeopardizing my roof. The neighbor would only agree to a fence-​line cut so it was a difficult job with considerable obstacles. It took several hours but they made it look easy. They also trimmed other trees on my property and tamed a very large wisteria vine. Very friendly and professional crew. Cleaned up well. Price was better than my other bids. I highly recommend them.

These guys are great! Responsive, affordable, professional and, yes, they are artistic. They removed two pines for us that died from the many diseases attacking Monterey pines. They also shaped up some native ash-​leaf maples, taking them from scrubby-​looking to graceful. They left everything just as I asked them to do (I wanted to keep some of the wood). I will definitely use them again.

We had a lot of tree work to be done; a large tree right next to the house that had roots that were impacting our foundation, a huge hedge we needed removed, and a plum tree in our front yard that had some dying limbs.
We got several quotes, and Artistic Tree Care’s was the lowest. And, they said they could come over the next day. We were a bit apprehensive; should we really go with the lowest bidder? Why are they available so soon? We crossed our fingers and went with them.
We could NOT be any happier. Erik and his crew did a fantastic job, not only removing the trees and hedge, but also grinding out the stumps, raking over the dirt and leaving everything cleaned up when they left.
We’re planning more work, and will definitely call Erik and Artistic Tree Care back.

I used this company about two months ago for tree removal and trimming in both my front and back yard. I had several quotes and here are the reasons I chose them
#1. Erik was on time for the estimate appointment.
#2. I wanted this done asap and he was willing to schedule me for when my time was available as I wanted to be home.
#3. He did not give me a bunch of giberish on what and whys he listened and understood and gave me a perfect estimate.
When it was time for the tree removal/​trimming appointment they were there on time, they cleaned up all debris and did exactly as I had wanted. They did so well in the front yard that before they were finished two of my neighbors requested they do their trees while int he area. Since they only had enough workers for my job. Erik called more people in to get the jobs done for them too.
This company really knows what they are doing and how to treat the customer. I will use them every time I need this service.

Artistic Tree Care (not to be confused with «Artistic Tree SERVICE» see below*) is run by friendly, diligent, tree removal specialists! Erik, the nephew of the owner is the service writer and team leader — everything he promised came true, 100% — He communicates well, listens carefully, and takes the time to explain the nature of the work, and to address your concerns/​questions — and he was highly available from start to finish. They did an excellent job, were on time, took every precaution to protect my yard and house, stopped all work when anyone was in the vicinity. Top notch!
FUNNY STORY: Before hiring — I grilled Erik, demanding proof of insurance, licensing, business licenses, etc… he had a friendly «glad you asked» attitude and produced a document for each, which I photographed and said,“I’ll get back to you” — After ten or so minutes of web searching to verify, and to call his excellent references (from my neighborhood) — I felt ready to hire him, but, of course, I had one last check to do;
*Well… Erik’s family’s company is called «Artistic Tree CARE» but that is not what I typed into Unilocal.I accidentally typed «Artistic Tree SERVICE» — for whom the Unilocal rating was completely unacceptable.
A little bummed out, I looked back at Erik’s business card, realized my error, and found the proper Unilocal page. Ahhh, good ratings, but I wanted to be doubly sure the two business were not affiliated:

I need some tree service and called for at least 4 estimates. They were the lowest.
The workers come on time and did very good job, cleaned up well too. Next time if I need any more tree service, I will call them again.

I have used Artistic Tree Care two times to trim and take down trees at my house in Los Altos Hills. Both times they did an excellent job. They show up on time, they work hard and they finish when they say they will be done.
We have some really big Redwood trees that are several hundred feet tall, and some very large pine trees as well, and they had no problem climbing and trimming some branches off while leaving other branches in place. Also they do a nice job trying to minimize damage to surrounding landscaping and vegetation.
And they cut the wood and stacked it for me to use as firewood. Overall very happy with Artistic Tree Care and will use them again when needed.
