Because I work at Eastridge. I usually eat lunch here 4 days a week, since the mall food is so repetitive… Their croissants are so worth your money! Cheap, good and filling. I also have regular cravings for their pot stickers and HOTWINGS! Anita and the girls working there are all really friendly.

Angkorian Express’ menu didn’t look Cambodian at fiirst glance. crossaint and bagel sammies? entrees, appetitzers and combo meals too eats: 2 item combo w/pan fried noodles(6.45) –only 2 entrees available on steam table, curry chicken and basil chicken –both slightly spicy hot with chili pieces. pan fried noodles not chinese style –similar to chinese«yee mein”-longevity noodles take outs: –fresh tasty, no msg or other aftertaste. –located near daiso.

This was a great find in Eastridge. Given that the area already has a large number of authentic Asian restaurants, it is fitting that Angkorian Express took over a stand in the mall — probably an old Orange Julius — and is churning out some awesome food. The restaurant is on the lower floor below the movie theatres, but it has little seating around the actual counter. On my visit, I had the shrimp egg rolls and beef kabobs. I received a massive amount of very delicious food. The rolls were good and stuffed with shrimp, but the beef was the star. Served with an addictive rice noodle salad and a giant portion of rice, the two skewers were tender and very flavorful with a great marinade. I asked for some hot sauce and received some chili paste and special hot sriracha sauce. I really would like this place at my local mall, but I will have to settle for swinging by when I visit my old neighborhood!

Stopped by this place to grab a quick lunch. Good thing I parked far from the food court or else I would’ve missed this place. They offer combo plates with dishes already made, but some they cook when ordered for you. If you don’t mind waiting five to ten minutes that is! I ordered their papaya salad which I thought was really good! I waited about ten minutes for their beef skewers(one order comes with two) since I thought it would be good to pair it with the papaya salad! The papaya salad sure didn’t disappoint, but the beef skewers were soooo chewy I only ate one out of the two. *good for quick bites*

Delicious and refreshing papaya salad that can be made to spice preference level. Tasty and tender chicken kabob is a stand out.

Love this place so much. Fresh curries and deserts are great. You can actually have extra fresh food made if youre willing to wait 5 – 10 min. They are happy to suggest it. MOViE go’ers… They also have a wide array of snacks and drinks available too. The staff is also very nice and happy to help you choose the perfect combo for your taste. They rock!

This restaurant is located on the bottom floor near Sears downstairs from the food court. I would choose this place to eat rather than the food court because their food is more healthier and tastier of a choice to eat at and not a lot people eat where the small eating area is and its pretty relaxing. I recommend their curry and beef rice combo. Also for drinks I love ordering their Combodian Sweet tea sort of tastes like Thai tea.

The owner is the cousin of the Chez Sovan on Oakland St., San Jose, and the owner of the Chez Sovan in Campbell. Angkorian Express is exactly as the name describes, expedient. I don’t know what about the fried rice makes it Cambodian, but it’s not as oily as Chinese fried rice. Maybe because they use brown rice instead? The best thing I’ve had so far is the Chicken Skewer. I didn’t make it all the way to the food court. I saw Cambodian food, and I was like, okay, it’s worth a try. Beware of the spiciness levels. It’s somewhere between Korean and Thai, but it’ll get you to ask for a second cup of water.

I usually order the papaya salad or the chicken beef kabobs. Pretty good for a small joint. I also order the coconut as its fresh and they cut it for you and it’s so good. Nice service also, not up to speed like Cambodian restaurants but it’s good for a quickie.

I love this restaurant, and the owner is so friendly and helpful if you’re undecided on what to order. I’ve never eaten Cambodian food before, but this food is very good, especially compared to a lot of the greasy, less healthy options inside the mall. The lemongrass chicken is very flavorful but my favorite is the garlic shrimp. My hubby loves that they have fresh coconut juice, the coconut is literally cut open to order, and when you’re done drinking the juice, they will cut open the coconut so you can enjoy the coconut meat inside! They also serve a bunch of other fresh fruits, I love to order mango and eat it with a fried egg over my rice :)

Fried eggroll with shrimp is the only seafood option. Low Quality Fast Food. Food– 1 star 98% meat Service– 1 star No lines great that everyone is smarter than to eat here. I am not one who really eats fast food. I’ve been to places like this that rock and this sadly is not one of those places. The one shrimp option egg roll does not make a good feeling in me. The veggie noodle no good. I’m sorry I don’t even want to try the veggie fried rice that I bought. I really wanted to like the Cambodian option! At first the girl at the front seemed nice but she put my order down and started talking to her friends and let them cut and rang them up first. Strange note: I arrive, she greets me and I said I’d like to put a review on Unilocal this is my first time here. Well at least I spoke my Peace. 1 star for having no line so buy your soda cans here and bottled juices lol.

Very disappointed! As I had high hopes for this place, to be my quick go to Cambodian/Khmer food fix. The food taste bland, nothing close or like any real Cambodian food. It taste like Chinese fast food to go. Only it’s tasteless. They should have had, some authentic dishes. Anyhow, I had the tasteless fried rice and Lemongrass Chicken(Cha Krueng) was… indescribably disgusting! My kids cooks better than that. Even though, I am Cambodian and would love to support them, but I honestly can’t support their food. I am hoping in the near future they will make some changes to their food menu, add in real authentic Cambodian food, get more businesses and do well. If not, it’s only a matter of time, they will run out of business.

The wait for fresh food here is lengthy, even after that, it’s edible at best. Presentation is horrid, but service is great.

I have travelled extensively in Cambodia and have lived in a Cambodian neighborhoods in the past. So, I am well versed with Cambodian food, specially because Cambodian food is one of my favorite Asian food. The actual Cambodian food is a spicy amalgamation of Indian, Thai, indonesian, Malaysian, and much more. This place could have called itself anything but Cambodian. I am actually sad that people will eat here and think that the food coming from this country is so meh. The color of the food looked good(see pics), but the taste was a different story. We ordered some their so called«spicy» chicken dishes. They were not spicy at all, and tasted like boiled chicken fried in basil. As one other reviewer mentioned, there was absolutely no taste of lemon grass. Let’s just say the food did not have any flavor at all. We also ordered their beef curry, which had a slight undertone of sourness, but millions of miles away from the actual dish it was trying to mimic. Noodles were devoid of any flavor and were just bland. I am giving them two stars because the woman on the counter was nice. My suggestion – take your money elsewhere, or just go upstairs and eat at one of those standard places. Not coming back here.

I married a cambodian who is also a chef and we have been die hard foodies for a few years now and always critiquing different styles and flavors of food and let me tell you, this place was very DISAPPOINTING. I came here with my sis in law and my kids to try something different and I also ordered to-go for my husband. Since it was our first time, we didn’t know what to order or what was good so we basically ordered food that was out on the warmers. If we would’ve been informed by an employee that we could special order the authentic stuff we knew of eating, we probably would’ve because the food sitting out front was not good at all. I ordered mainly for my kids to eat and they wanted fried rice, some type of chow mein noodles and a side of meat which I chose a pineapple chicken and the lemongrass beef, or so it was called. The beef didn’t taste anything like lemongrass and they loaded it with big pieces of onions and bellpeppers and I probably had 4 – 5 pieces of beef. The good thing about the beef was that it was very tender and tastes good but wouldn’t call it a lemongrass beef, but tasted more like a Chinese beef and broccoli. The first bite into my pineapple chicken was COLD. Like it had been sitting out and was waiting for the warmers to heat it thru. The rice tasted like filipino garlic rice but with added green beans, corn and peas. My kids liked it cause it tastes like baby food. The chowmein had big pieces of what tasted like vinegar marinated cabbage. Noodles were dry and plain. My sister had sachakak– meat on a stick– and that was the only thing that tasted cambodian. Really tasted the lemongrass but was missing more flavor. I thought it was good but no «wow» factor. Overall, I probably will never come back for the food left out in the warmers but rather order from the back and try some real khmer dishes. I will come again with my husband so he can speak khmer to them and order for us. Service was ok. I would’ve liked them to describe what the dishes were because there was no tag/name to differentiate what each item was. And while I was asking, she interrupted me mid sentence to say hi to a person passing by. Kinda rude but I understand that you want to be friendly to a previous customer. Just don’t forget the customer that’s standing right in front of you.

First of all how many authentic fast food joints do you see at the mall? barely any! It seems like now and days all the corporate and fast food chains are taking over malls, corner stores and shopping plazas. Sometimes we want fast food but not with all the same tasting grease and mass manufactured food from processing plants. I was really delighted to see an authentic Cambodian fast food at Eastridge Mall. The beef kebabs and papaya salad was really organic and home made tasting. It had all the flavors but not overly salted. I can taste the authentic herbs and spices it was such refreshment from your typical mall fast food. To me it’s more like a mini restaurant I enjoyed the food and the ambiance the owner explained to me very well on what the dishes where and what taste is should expect. I can’t wait to go back and try out some more of their food! Cheers to good authentic food!

Among the many facts of life some of the realities are that mall food typically isn’t that great, authentic Cambodian food is far and few unless it’s at home and good help is hard to find. Well you’re in luck. somewhat. LOL. This place has all of the above. I hope this place sticks for awhile. If you’ve ever tried to go and find a Khmer restaurant you would know that there are probably only 2 in San Jose making this the 3rd. This place is the real deal and the people that work there know their food. This place would be a great intro to Cambodian food if you’ve never tried and even better if you haven’t had that home cooking for awhile and are craving some of that food. Plus it’s in the mall! That’s as easy as it gets. When we got to the front counter to look at the foods it seemed like they didn’t have much. We spoke with the person behind the counter and she was absolutely helpful. They had way more things in the back for the hardcore cambo folks. They just don’t want to scare off the regular customers(I really meant the non-ethnic and white people. hahaha)! Anyway, They have a bitchin papaya salad and it’s even better if you like it spicy. They have authentic Cambodian Curry and a «sweet & spicy» soup but unlike the Thai Tom Yum or the Vietnamese style their soup is more based off Lemongrass. They also have decent kabob style meats too… beef, pork and chicken. If you’re feelin a little Cambodian come give this place a try. And if you get rice/noodles and something you could get from Panda Express you suck! Be adventurous and try the soup, curry or papaya salad!
