Alpha Property Management

Often property managers of Home Owner Associations forget who they actually work for. They are hired to act on behalf of the homeowners. Andrea Caldwell at 21 Century Alpha manages the Classics at Fair Oaks came through for us only after being reminded she’s a service provider.

I have lived in a property managed by Andrea Caldwell for approx. 9 months. She was great to work with prior to getting into the place and has been great to work with since living here.
I have had minimal repair issues since moving in although the issues that I have had to contact her about have been addressed immediately! There has been no lag time in returning any messages/​emails and she has gotten the problems resolved right away!
It has been a pleasure to live in a place where you’re not constantly bugged by the manager as well as to deal with a manager that takes care of issues immediately.

Being in the mortgage business, I receive several requests per year for sources for rental housing. I send all of the San Jose area requests to Andrea Caldwell at Alpha Property Mgt. Andrea has helped find housing for a number of associates over the past ten years.

This business, specifically Andrea Caldwell, falls below acceptable standards for business practices. By no exaggeration, 2 weeks is the average response time for a phone call/​email– often several messages are sent in this 2 week period before receiving a reply back. A simple activation of the «auto-​reply» on her email, or an update on her voice mail message stating her vacation periods would alleviate much frustration, as the general explanation for the lag in response is «I was out all last week.» I understand there is a desire for maximum profitability when it comes to income properties, but there must be a line between profit and tenant neglect. Andrea boasts her portfolio consists of over 150 properties under her management in the South Bay alone. Perhaps this is stretching herself a bit thin. I was not satisfied in any way shape or form with her service as a property manager and would not recommend her to property owners or potential renters, at all. Ever.

I will NEVER do business with these people again, you shouldn’t either. First off, it’s nearly impossible to get a hold of the property manager, Andrea Caldwell. The only way I could get her to call me back was to short my rent check. Otherwise, good luck. She will never call you back.
If you are still waiting for your deposit check, keep waiting because it’s going to take a while. Be prepared to be SHOCKED and kiss a good portion of it GOODBYE. You will be lucky to get back half of it.
These people are professional deposit keepers! Know this before you get involved with these people.
I highly recommend thinking twice, if not three times, before moving forward with Alpha Property Management. I will NEVER do business with ANDREA CALDWELL again.
DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID AND STAY AWAY FROM … ANDREA CALDWELL!!!

Never, ever, EVER, do business with this place. ESPECIALLY Andrea Caldwell. I cannot tell you how many headaches this terrible woman has given me. Even her colleagues hint at how much of a waste of space she is and «won’t apologize for her.»

Stay away, especially from Andrea Caldwell.
